You can see a very light shadow of White Diamond's gem when she says the line "Did you get it all out of your system?" Also, I hardcore think White Diamond shattered Pink Pearl and then healed the gem back together because when Pink Diamond healed Lion it turned Lion pink, and when Steven healed Lars, it turned him pink. So maybe White Diamond shattered a bratty Pink Pearl and healed her back which made her a loyal servant kinda like Lion was to Pink Diamond. (Also not to mention the parallel to the fact that the new healed Lars still has the scar over his eye)
Anatomic I don't think healing is something White would've considered. Yellow said the idea of healing Nephrite was unprecedented, so I don't think White would've considered it herself. More likely she used her powers to override Pink Pearl's mind altogether
What if pearl is a corrupted gem would explain the scar and why she does not walk. What if white did not heal her because she is a corrupt gem if so they would need all the diamonds to fix white pearl. Btw lion and lars are not a gem so what if diamonds powers work different on things that are not gem by giving them the same color as them and a connection of some sort for steven the connection would be pink hair
Autum Breeze YD thought that healing a corrupted gem had never been done before. My theory is that White had healed a shattered gem. And it's not like healing is completely new to the diamonds either, they both already knew how to use their healing powers.
Home world is destroyed because of the colonization , in the episode it could’ve been great, peridot shows the earth if the colonization would’ve been completed and it was destroyed just like home world. And I’m sure other planets are like that to because of all the kindergartens.

Maybe the pearl trade idea explains why our pearl is so much smarter, bolder, and more capable than the rest. 1) she's got White Diamond's characteristics, with WD being the literal "head" of gems, and 2) since she belonged to the most important gem, our pearl is probably of top-notch quality as well as being from the early days (or even the first ever). At some point Peridot notes that our pearl looks like a fancy one.

I think Pink Diamond had powers that affect the subconscious, while White affects the conscious. Blue and Yellow balance these powers, the physical (Yellow) is heavily associated with the conscious while the emotional (Blue) is associated with the subconscious. Steven having dream walking abilities also leans toward a tie to the subconscious, this is why he could almost heal Nephrite. By healing the subconscious, he created a ripple effect into her consciousness, allowing her to partially regain her cognitive functionality. White has broken that Pearl's consciousness, but not her subconscious. If Steven could get some healing spit on her, I think it could trigger a chain reaction and release her from White's control. Even dream walking to her could help, he'd hear her pleas for leniency and help.
I don't think so. Steven's healing has been shown mostly to affect the physical: the cracked gem of Lapis: Connie's eyes. So, this is why it fails with corrupted gems, where the cause isn't purely physical damage, it's physical changes brought about by mental trauma being reflected in their physical appearance.
That's why I wondered why Pearl was barely pink.... Also Pearl might've had flashbacks to when she was abused by White Diamond and then she was given to Pink and the next Pearl, White Pearl was abused too. Also I wonder how many Pearls White Diamond had before settling with her Pearl she has now. Also damn I said Pearl a lot
I noticed that Pearl was barely pink too because of how Blue Diamonds Pearl was so blue and Yellow Diamonds Pearl was so yellow. I also think that White and Pink just traded because of where their gems are, because if you look Yellow's Pearl's gem is in the same spot as Yellow's gem same thing with Blue, but White's current Pearl's gem is in the same spot as Pink's and our/Pink's Pearl's gem is in the same spot as White's.

Yellows pearl has hair more like yellow diamonds, blue pearl has hair that resembles blue diamond, BUT if you look at white pearl her hair can be seen as having curls and pink diamond had poofy more curled like hair. White diamonds hair and white pearls hair has no similarity. Also, our pearl has a single spike like look to her hair and white diamonds hair is all spiked out. The pearls gems, color, and hair all have similarities to their diamonds. This is an important detail that I think you missed and helps solidify this theory even more.
Plus if you look at Pearl's outfit it has all the colors on it, not just her assigned color like the other Pearls do. I don't know why no one paid attention to this but I think it's solid evidence too.
Here's my theory: Gem's take awhile to form, right? Maybe when Pink got her first colony, White Diamond ordered the creation of a Pearl for her and lent Pink her Pearl (our Pearl) in the meantime. Then Pink assumed the identity of Rose Quartz and ran away with Pearl, leaving White Diamond without a Pearl. So when Pink Pearl finally emerged White Diamond desaturated her and took her as her own (perhaps that's what caused the scar?).
I wonder when the recently released episode of Steven universe will make its TV premiere and then if we will get any more episodes after that before this year 2018 ends, somewhere I saw someone say it we're going to have it in September when the actual Steven bomb or something similar to rent like maybe they will the recently aired one and then later like a month or so later, pretty sure people will be mad if they do that
I think to heal corrupted gems we also need White Diamond. I think she is like a save button in photoshop. So Yellow Diamond heals form, Blue Diamond heals mind, Steven calms down a gem and White Diamond saves "changes" before exit the program!

No, I think YD heals the form, BD heals the emotional state, Steven heals sort of the gems version of the soul, and WD heals the overall state of mind that puts the pieces together.
Keep in mind, when Steven/Pink Diamond revived Lars, the effect of their power was: to turn Lars pink. Thus, White Diamond's power being used on someone, turning them white, is a perfectly reasonable assumption to make. CG Pearl is still hiding stuff.

When we 1st saw the diamond's portraits on the moon I had figured Pearl was a mentor/informant in Pink's budding court and she reported directly to White Diamond being she was one of her Pearls.

You're overstretcing things. The posture of White Pearl is the one of a ballerina. And therefore she stands with her feets with an angle waaaayyy above White Diamond's feet.
Her outfit is similar to Pink's too... The cut of the top, long gloves, sheer skirt, gem location, the shoes. The other Pearls loosely reflect their Diamond's outfits so... Other than the Leya buns, which doesn't reflect White either, I think there's a strong case for this Pearl having been Pink's.
Yh we've seen the effects of gem colonisation on a planet before and homeworld looks just like the planet in the jungle moon episode looked. I don't think White Diamond's temper is explosive, I think she's very controlled and sweetly sadistic. When she does something awful, she knows exactly what she's doing the whole time which just makes her scarier.

my personal theory: Our pearl was made very shortly after pink diamond, and she was made for all 4 diamonds (hence the reason she looks so different compared to the other pearls, and why her body/outfit reflects all 4 diamonds). For some reason or another, the diamonds decided to make their own personal pearls, and since they already had a pearl, white diamond took her in as her pearl. But somehow pinks pearl is shattered, and white diamond resurrects her. After pink see's that her pearl is not only scarred, but also no longer pink, she is upset and tells white that she wants to switch pearls. The rest is history.
Yeah but pink isn't like that. She's not judgemental to looks as we've seen with her encountering garnet, and she isn't that selfish. She would have comforted her pearl, told her she was just as good, scars and all. I was with you until that part. It just doesn't make sense.

" And then she stayed quiet for a moment and made the joke "can you water this while I'm gone?" She said Steven would be fine in a really weird way, s if she had seen that someone else wouldn't. If she knew someone as important for her as a Cristal gem would be shattered she wouldn't have let them go to homeworld, but if we're talking about white pearl... A while ago the crewniverse postes a picture with a bunch of spoilers in it, like "Peridot and lapis get stars" (which is probably gonna happen), "rainbow quartz 2.0 appears" (which is definitely gonna happen) and some I don't really remember that already happened. Well, one of those spoilers was "a gem gets shattered". I have the feeling that Steven is gonna try to save White pearl, his original pearl (which is really obvious) but he's not gonna be able to do it for some reason (as you said, she's probably beyond repair). But she's finally gonna stop suffering if she gets shattered. This sounds really dark for SU but I have the feeling that it's possible. My poor baby😭😭😭

Notice how all the pearls have their pearl in the same position as the diamond they serve. If whites pearl was pinks pearl and our pearl was white diamonds then it would make sense, plus white pearl has an outfit similar in design as pink diamonds. Sorry if this was mentioned but it's a detail I saw in the series.
the diamond's Pearl reflects the diamond. yellow is pretty "snooty" and so is yellow Pearl. blue and her pearl are quite and introverted, etc. and since we've seen how impulsive and wreckless pink diamond is, her pearl was probably similar. so to help pink diamond grow up, the diamonds switched pink and white's pearls, hoping Pearl prime could help her and keep pink pearl on a lease. however pink pearl was still impulsive and wreckless, so much so that white pearl harmed her and mind controlled her.

NetherNinja I think it's either exaggerating on Blue Diamond's behalf (which she is known to do) or they were purposefully excluding the Rebellion as they're trying to ignore this embarrassment (seen earlier in the episode when the minute Nephrite mentioned the Diamonds "avenging" Pink, they winced with recoil).
He is Wrong. Blue Diamond effects the emotional state of a gem. Pink effects the mental and Yellow effects the physical. White diamond effecta the gem as a whole. Nephrite could be fully uncurrupted as we saw but it takes White to permanently keep them in that state.
Yellow is body, blue is mind, pink is life and white is soul. I think it would make sense that if white diamond could scar your soul it would appear in any version of yourself that you reform into. On a side note... is white peal supposed to be pink’a pearl? All the diamond’s pearls have gems in the same place as their diamond. I think they were trying to make it a little bit obvious maybe because if you look where yellow and blue's pearls gems are at they are in the same spot as yellow and blues, and white's current pearls gem is in the same spot as pinks and our pearls gem is in the same spot as whites.
Another thing that can connect the idea that our Pearl used to be White's pearl, remember her dialogue during the flashback in Now We're only Falling Apart? She literally said "I could imagine it, if you want me to, my Diamond". We assumed this was because Pearls are mentally locked unless given permission by their owner, but I highly doubt Yellow would've given her Pearl permission to act as she does. Remember how she spoke to Peridot before Yellow took over the call on the Diamond Line? Our Pearl was the way she was at the beginning of the flashback when she was given to Pink because she WAS originally White's Pearl, so was mind locked strictly because she'd belonged White. It's actually really chilling when you think about it
But if you listen to what white diamond said before sending steven to her room. Its as IF she knew its going to happen.... and whats happening next, and afterwards. Just think. Why didnt white diamond was not in the trial period with blue diamond and yellow diamond. Its because she knew. That steven is pink diamond. Or so I think. -my theory.
Also, the pearl location can represent whose pearl are they belong to. Both yellow & blue Diamond’s pearl have the same location as their diamond, on chest, while the pink Diamond should have the pearl with a pearl located on her belly. while white diamond should have pearl that have pearl on top of her head. If you haven't noticed, our Pearl has an oval shaped gem instead of a circular shaped gem like the other Homeworld Pearls. I'm thinking that MAYBE White Diamond not only gave Pink her own Pearl, (because PinkPearl wasn't efficient) but also gave her a somewhat DEFECTIVE Pearl. Jasper even calls Pearl defective in the episode "The Arrival". Maybe this is why Pearl was so easily swayed by Pink to keep secrets from the other Diamonds and helped start the rebellion.
Pink's Pearl and White's Pearl both have the oval shaped pearl. I've been looking at them and I think maybe White likes them better that way. Could it be to increase her influence over Pink and Pearl?
I think it's more of a stylistic choice. Jasper called Pearl defective because she was disobedient to homeworld (fluorite and rhodonite are considered off colour too even tho the gems making up their fusions are most likely fine appearancewise) Edit: also other gems can have different cuts and the diamonds all have diffdrent gem shapes all together. Jaspers gem looks COMPLETELY different to that of other quartz soldiers so I think this also applies to pearls.
I think that White Diamond we see wasn't really White Diamond. As a part of the authority you'd expect her to know about Pink's supposedly shattering. I think it was an all planned hologram for Pink's return after finishing her colony. Reasons I think this: 1. She wouldn't let Steven speak 2. She's bright 3. No gem is visible 4. The Pearl doesn't say anything to her Diamond because she's not there? I'd love to hear someone add more to this.

I think our Pearl isn’t completely pink because she was a gift from all the other diamonds and then given to Pink. Our Pearls original outfit consisted of blue, yellow, and pink. Also For the people saying ‘but her skin is white’ I think it’s more of an eggshell or off white color, if her skin is meant to be a clue or hint that she was White’s pearl then I feel like the creators would have made her skin whiter like White Diamond’s. Another person thought about it like our Pearl could have been the first Pearl to serrve the Diamonds before Diamonds decided to have their own pearl, with White Diamond taking the original Pearl as her pearl ( because she also is the original Diamond I guess).
So if Yellow is physical, Blue is emotional, White is mental, then what’s Pink? I think she is the conscious state maybe. Earlier in that episode, when Yellow and Blue was trying to “uncorrupt” Centipeedle, Steven just spat in his hand and was able to access her mind. And in the episode “Reunited”, he passed out and was able to enter everyone’s minds. Now this is just a theory but it could be a possibility.
Yellow embodies structural integrity, Blue embodies emotions (but with no control), Pink embodies being yourself kind of emotional stability (individuality?), White probably embodies consistency.
I think Pink emulates heart. It's a bit different than pure emotion but Pink was the Matriarch. She had a people Zoo where she took care of people and she has love for all things.

If you look at the other Pearls their gem location mimics their Diamonds exactly: Both Yellow & Blue Diamonds/Pearls gems on their chest. Therefore it's safe to assume that since White's diamond is on her head, her Pearl's gem should also be located on her head, however instead it is on her navel, which is the location of Pink's gem, and the Pearl we know and love has her gem on her forehead. White Pearl and Pink Pearl were swapped at some point!! But for what reason?
Blakat014 A lot of people were saying it was because pink broke her pearl, but I'm not even sure if pink could have that kind of power. It's possible it was because her pearl was failing to make her happy, so as punishment white permanently scarred her physically and mentally. She didn't do her job, so she was punished. Possible that isn't the actual White Diamond but a Wizard of OZ sort of deal? Looking at her feet and pose alone make it seem like we're looking at a golem or statue with a moving eyes. And that White Diamond is somewhere else controlling it.

They’re all fake. White Diamond, White Pearl, the crowd, everyone. It explains why Pearl moves and speaks like that, why the crowd cheers the same and stop abruptly at the same time, and most importantly, White Diamond. White cuts Steven off, like Lars and Sadie in Roses Room. And, she has no idea or even mentions anything about Pink being, well, Steven. It’s because it was all pre programmed. Pink was a known troublemaker, so it was programmed to have White say “it was a little game.” It also explains why Pink Pearl can literally fuse into the walls, although that has been seen before. Who knows.

I actually had thought of a similar theory. Basically it was that the "White Diamond" that we saw wasn't the real White Diamond. That it was basically an answering machine, and the real White Diamond is somewhere else. I wasn't sure about White Pearl though, I thought that White Pearl could have been mind controlled, or possibly just an answering machine too.

If white's powers effect the mind, yellow the physical structure, and blue the emotions, then pink's powers would probably effect the heart (will power) or the mind on a different scale that can allow the being to move forward. Heck I don't know but I just want to put it out there. And if each diamonds' ship is a different body part (white is the head and body, and yellow and blue are the arms) then it makes sense if pink is the legs. Pink, who is young and fun, brings a balance to the group of diamonds who are old and stern. She brings the warmth and color out of the group where as the others who are always putting up a cold front while working and colonizing planets. While white is the head or leader of the group pink is like the core or the heart of the group hence the legs. Before she died, she was what kept them standing, she was what kept them walking forward as what legs should do. Without her is like a body without legs, the only thing moving them forward are the arms that could only crawl so far. Although she was thought to be rather bratty and childish, she was really what the diamonds need to balance the scale. A warm childish atmosphere to contrast the harsh cold world.

The personality of the Diamond is the same as their Pearl. As Pink Diamond was childish-like, Her Pearl was childish too. The other Diamonds (i think) wanted her to grow up so they gave White Diamond's Pearl to Pink Diamond and so they traded. I think Pink Diamond had powers that affect the subconscious, while White affects the conscious. Blue and Yellow balance these powers, the physical (Yellow) is heavily associated with the conscious while the emotional (Blue) is associated with the subconscious. Steven having dream walking abilities also leans toward a tie to the subconscious, this is why he could almost heal Nephrite. By healing the subconscious, he created a ripple effect into her consciousness, allowing her to partially regain her cognitive functionality.
White has broken that Pearl's consciousness, but not her subconscious. If Steven could get some healing spit on her, I think it could trigger a chain reaction and release her from White's control. Even dream walking to her could help, he'd hear her pleas for leniency and help.

I don't think so. Steven's healing has been shown mostly to affect the physical: the cracked gem of Lapis: Connie's eyes. So, this is why it fails with corrupted gems, where the cause isn't purely physical damage, it's physical changes brought about by mental trauma being reflected in their physical appearance.

Yellows pearl has hair more like yellow diamonds, blue pearl has hair that resembles blue diamond, BUT if you look at white pearl her hair can be seen as having curls and pink diamond had poofy more curled like hair. White diamonds hair and white pearls hair has no similarity. Also, our pearl has a single spike like look to her hair and white diamonds hair is all spiked out. The pearls gems, color, and hair all have similarities to their diamonds. This is an important detail that I think you missed and helps solidify this theory even more.

Here's my theory: Gem's take awhile to form, right? Maybe when Pink got her first colony, White Diamond ordered the creation of a Pearl for her and lent Pink her Pearl (our Pearl) in the meantime. Then Pink assumed the identity of Rose Quartz and ran away with Pearl, leaving White Diamond without a Pearl. So when Pink Pearl finally emerged White Diamond desaturated her and took her as her own (perhaps that's what caused the scar?).

From the way she talked was very robotic and also it kind of remind me of the robot lady voice of the evil computer from Portal and Portal 2, that steam game where your that lady you have the special gun at it's a duck's blue portal which is what you enter to and in the another side of the room another portal appears and that product is the exit of your portal , knowing that realize the connection between white Pearl and the voice of the lady computer from the portal games.
Pearl's backstory is still such a mystery to us. We've learned so much about her in the last 8 episodes, but I'm certain there's a lot more we don't know. Rebecca has big plans for her, i know it.

my personal theory: Our pearl was made very shortly after pink diamond, and she was made for all 4 diamonds (hence the reason she looks so different compared to the other pearls, and why her body/outfit reflects all 4 diamonds). For some reason or another, the diamonds decided to make their own personal pearls, and since they already had a pearl, white diamond took her in as her pearl. But somehow pinks pearl is shattered, and white diamond resurrects her. After pink see's that her pearl is not only scarred, but also no longer pink, she is upset and tells white that she wants to switch pearls. The rest is history.

Jake McCarty I have a theory... Right before the Cristal gems went to homeworld, Garnet told Greg: "Steven will be fine... " And then she stayed quiet for a moment and made the joke "can you water this while I'm gone?" She said Steven would be fine in a really weird way, s if she had seen that someone else wouldn't. If she knew someone as important for her as a Cristal gem would be shattered she wouldn't have let them go to homeworld, but if we're talking about white pearl... A while ago the crewniverse postes a picture with a bunch of spoilers in it, like "Peridot and lapis get stars" (which is probably gonna happen), "rainbow quartz 2.0 appears" (which is definitely gonna happen) and some I don't really remember that already happened. Well, one of those spoilers was "a gem gets shattered". I have the feeling that Steven is gonna try to save White pearl, his original pearl (which is really obvious) but he's not gonna be able to do it for some reason (as you said, she's probably beyond repair). But she's finally gonna stop suffering if she gets shattered. This sounds really dark for SU but I have the feeling that it's possible. My poor baby😭😭😭

Notice how all the pearls have their pearl in the same position as the diamond they serve. If whites pearl was pinks pearl and our pearl was white diamonds then it would make sense, plus white pearl has an outfit similar in design as pink diamonds. Sorry if this was mentioned but it's a detail I saw in the series.
the diamond's Pearl reflects the diamond. yellow is pretty "snooty" and so is yellow Pearl. blue and her pearl are quite and introverted, etc. and since we've seen how impulsive and wreckless pink diamond is, her pearl was probably similar. so to help pink diamond grow up, the diamonds switched pink and white's pearls, hoping Pearl prime could help her and keep pink pearl on a lease. however pink pearl was still impulsive and wreckless, so much so that white pearl harmed her and mind controlled her.

He is Wrong. Blue Diamond effects the emotional state of a gem. Pink effects the mental and Yellow effects the physical. White diamond effecta the gem as a whole. Nephrite could be fully uncurrupted as we saw but it takes White to permanently keep them in that state.

We assumed this was because Pearls are mentally locked unless given permission by their owner, but I highly doubt Yellow would've given her Pearl permission to act as she does. Remember how she spoke to Peridot before Yellow took over the call on the Diamond Line?
Our Pearl was the way she was at the beginning of the flashback when she was given to Pink because she WAS originally White's Pearl, so was mind locked strictly because she'd belonged White.

If you haven't noticed, our Pearl has an oval shaped gem instead of a circular shaped gem like the other Homeworld Pearls. I'm thinking that MAYBE White Diamond not only gave Pink her own Pearl, (because PinkPearl wasn't efficient) but also gave her a somewhat DEFECTIVE Pearl.
Jasper even calls Pearl defective in the episode "The Arrival". Maybe this is why Pearl was so easily swayed by Pink to keep secrets from the other Diamonds and helped start the rebellion.
Pink's Pearl and White's Pearl both have the oval shaped pearl.
I've been looking at them and I think maybe White likes them better that way.

I think that White Diamond we see wasn't really White Diamond. As a part of the authority you'd expect her to know about Pink's supposedly shattering. I think it was an all planned hologram for Pink's return after finishing her colony. Reasons I think this:
1. She wouldn't let Steven speak
2. She's bright
3. No gem is visible
4. The Pearl doesn't say anything to her Diamond because she's not there?

Also For the people saying ‘but her skin is white’ I think it’s more of an eggshell or off white color, if her skin is meant to be a clue or hint that she was White’s pearl then I feel like the creators would have made her skin whiter like White Diamond’s. Another person thought about it like our Pearl could have been the first Pearl to serrve the Diamonds before Diamonds decided to have their own pearl, with White Diamond taking the original Pearl as her pearl ( because she also is the original Diamond I guess).

So if Yellow is physical, Blue is emotional, White is mental, then what’s Pink? I think she is the conscious state maybe. Earlier in that episode, when Yellow and Blue was trying to “uncorrupt” Centipeedle, Steven just spat in his hand and was able to access her mind. And in the episode “Reunited”, he passed out and was able to enter everyone’s minds. Now this is just a theory but it could be a possibility.
Yellow embodies structural integrity, Blue embodies emotions (but with no control), Pink embodies being yourself kind of emotional stability (individuality?), White probably embodies consistency.
I think Pink emulates heart. It's a bit different than pure emotion but Pink was the Matriarch. She had a people Zoo where she took care of people and she has love for all things.

It explains why Pearl moves and speaks like that, why the crowd cheers the same and stop abruptly at the same time, and most importantly, White Diamond. White cuts Steven off, like Lars and Sadie in Roses Room. And, she has no idea or even mentions anything about Pink being, well, Steven. It’s because it was all pre programmed. Pink was a known troublemaker, so it was programmed to have White say “it was a little game.” It also explains why Pink Pearl can literally fuse into the walls, although that has been seen before. Who knows.

I actually had thought of a similar theory. Basically it was that the "White Diamond" that we saw wasn't the real White Diamond. That it was basically an answering machine, and the real White Diamond is somewhere else. If white's powers effect the mind, yellow the physical structure, and blue the emotions, then pink's powers would probably effect the heart (will power) or the mind on a different scale that can allow the being to move forward. Heck I don't know but I just want to put it out there.
And if each diamonds' ship is a different body part (white is the head and body, and yellow and blue are the arms) then it makes sense if pink is the legs. Pink, who is young and fun, brings a balance to the group of diamonds who are old and stern. She brings the warmth and color out of the group where as the others who are always putting up a cold front while working and colonizing planets. While white is the head or leader of the group pink is like the core or the heart of the group hence the legs. Before she died, she was what kept them standing, she was what kept them walking forward as what legs should do. Without her is like a body without legs, the only thing moving them forward are the arms that could only crawl so far. Although she was thought to be rather bratty and childish, she was really what the diamonds need to balance the scale. A warm childish atmosphere to contrast the harsh cold world.

The personality of the Diamond is the same as their Pearl. As Pink Diamond was childish-like, Her Pearl was childish too. The other Diamonds (i think) wanted her to grow up so they gave White Diamond's Pearl to Pink Diamond and so they traded. Pink Diamonds original Pearl looks white and disordered because White Diamond forced her to grow up and act like an actual Pearl. The Pearl couldn't 'cause she was supposed to be like that and so White Diamond used brute force (i think).
