The scariest thing about White Diamond is her calm mindset and her motherly voice. She's so calm yet so intimidating. She doesn't even truly look like a gem. She looks like a cosmic entity. Blue and Yellow Diamond stood out from other gems and looked more elite sure, but White Diamond straight up looks like a goddess.

I feel like they've written themselves into a corner though, steven will have to talk white diamond into helping him. Why? The corrupted gems, I doubt the Crewniverse will leave that unresolved and it will take all four diamonds to cure the corruption. IE she cant remain the enemy forever.

I don’t think she was being so calm because she was distant, I think she was smiling and down-playing everything because she was just that pissed! Kinda like how a mom does.
Yeah, she reminds me a lot of mother Gothel from Tangled and the other mother from Coraline, very emotionally distant and dismissive about everything. Yet beneath her calm, seemingly emotionless mask lies a deeply resentful and aggressive personality that lashes out at everything and anything they perceive as a threat to their power. Based off of first impressions, she does seem to have a motherly aura to her, but that doesn't necessarily mean she is kind and forgiving like the way she presents herself to be.
Either way, I can tell Steven will have a hard time reaching her, and when it does eventually come down to a confrontation, I think well see just how much of a cruel and sadistic monster White diamond can be.

She didn't seem like a sociopath exactly. Serenity before the storm. It means you keep calm for a bit until you completely flip out. It's like when you're so pissed you go calm for a few minutes and then completely lose it. That's what I was getting. She probably ushered Steven out of the room because he just arrived and then is about to go beat the hell out of Yellow and Blue Diamond. Also, remember the Cartoon Network bingo? There was a square that said: ''Gem gets shattered''. My bets are on White Pearl. It was strange that White wasn't moving at all and I know there is a fan theory that what we've seen of White was just a prerecorded message but I still don't know how to feel about that yet. I do think it's a bit early to gather a lot of White's personality but what I can tell is that something is very wrong with White mentally and emotionally. It's like she has been in denial or she actually knew Pink would come back.

I was thinking something similar. Blue said she hasnt left homeworld in eons i find that to be strange. Also she feels like a sociopath to me. Feiging emotion and expression when you dont really feel anything other than anger and rage and are violent and abusive sounds like a sociopath to me. Her voice sounds so light but with a sinister undertone, that's some great voice acting.
She's so beautifully scary she could probably hold a conversation with guests, shatter a gem in the most savage an horrific way an stay smiling and talking like nothing happend while her subordinates clean up the carnage and her guests are scared asf.

I would say that she has an abusive mother vibe; I honestly think she believes all the terrible things she does is for the benefit of her gem children. Typical of a sociopath, she presents a warm open facade while being emotionally distant. Any dissent from her subordinates is met not only with physically violent retaliation, but also an even greater measure of psychological abuse. It's akin to saying 'look at what you made me do.' And the choice of voice actor is what gives it the sinister undertone you mentioned. It's like casting Florence Henderson from 'The Brady Bunch' to play Hannibal Lecter. The creep factor comes from knowing what the character has done and is capable of doing, and having to reconcile it with a voice that sounds like the epitome of motherly affection.

It’s plausible, in a way. White, after all, didn’t seem phased, shocked, or surprised that Pink was back, rather asking if it was all out of her system. Gems were even gathered out there to cheer for Steven. She probably knew the corruption would happen over Blue and Yellow as a result. Of course, I say this before we see what truly happens, naturally lol
That's actually a pretty smart conclusion everyone is like her game pieces pink thinks she's playing a game when in fact it's actually white diamond. Yeah..... I’m sorry it didn’t happen that way :/ but you know don’t feel like you were wrong about how it should’ve gone. You were just wrong in how it turned out because you are right. It doesn’t make sense how fast atleast they did redeem her. It doesn’t add up or line up. But the fact was that this wasn’t how it should’ve played out (how it was was rushed) because of how the show was abruptly cut short due to Cartoon Network
She is *literally* an alien compared to the other gems. If Steven even tries to talk to her she'll either ignore him or just laugh in his face. Everything from her design to her personality makes for the most perfect villain. I can't wait to see her relationship with her Pearl be explored. It seems like her Pearl is her version of a stress toy she can abuse when she's angry.
What scared me was when garnet said, “Steven will be fine....” to Greg! Does that mean she saw everyone except Steven be killed/shattered, corrupted, or injured/cracked

Did anyone notice in the episode "Legs From Here To Home World" that Greg asks Garnet, "Garnet should I be worried?" To which he gets a reply of, "(Steven) will be fine." Just the way she says this bothers me and I'm curious if it's foreshadowing. She says Steven and pauses for a second, will be fine as she looks down. Then it's just played off as she ask's Greg to "water" Cat-Steven for her while shes gone. I wonder if she saw anything with her future vision. I just hope nothing bad happens to the Crystal Gems .

White Diamond can not cure corruption. She is emotionally abusive and will only accept complete obedience. If she reforms a gem it can only be in her own image and that will only make them a zombie without will or intent. There’s a reason White’s pearl has the same voice as White instead of the other pearls.
She can't cure corruption. Only Yellow, Blue, and Pink can do that. But she CAN make what they do Permanent, and she can shine it like a light over an entire planet. With Steven's help, they can make a De-corrupting Light.
Ayelis yeah but we don’t know if she can make it permanent. She is a villain and will need to be convinced to even try, but we don’t know if she can be convinced. There is an evil in people with “good intentions” that makes it almost impossible for them to change their minds.
She can, they needed white only for the full corruption to go off, though I see white as a motherly diamond as she created pink, yellow, and blue.

I also think that Steven is white diamond's only weakness. I mean think about it, they said that white was not like any other gem but neither is Steven. Normal stuff that effects gems does not effect Steven. So I think that while white is extremely powerful Steven will be her downfall...

I’ve been there joking along these lines, like how Pink Diamond’s quarters might be physically barring for gems, like the brigs, and Steven is largely immune to them.
Connie didn’t react to Blue’s Aura, and Steven was the only one crying with her in That Will Be All (Not Greg), so his humanity likely makes him affectable but resistant, at least.
Maybe only slightly resistant to power like White Diamond’s. Maybe the most resistant, since his body is basically self-healing.

I have a theory that the white diamond we see is not actually her appearance. I theorize that she is not pristine but in fact dying and broken, like her planet, like her pearl. Not only is the white diamond we see standing stoke still but it sounds like she's running a recorded message.

An interesting twist is White actually agreeing happily to help restore the corrupted gems on Earth...just so Pink (Steven) can continue with the colony development as intended. Steven, obviously, rejects this and THAT'S when White gets angry, explains how she knew everything was just a game but now it's time to 'grow up'. Then the pu pu platter hits the wind generating machine. Heck, she might even offer to restore the shards of the cluster back into their original gem forms if Pink just gets back to work. How could Steven say no to that?

I have a theory about White right now. White tells Steven "Did you get it out of your system?" and acted so calmly. White knew everything. She knew about Pink being Rose and everything in the rebellion. She just saw it as a tantrum, like a teenage rebellion. So she let Pink think everything was going according to her plan. She had to keep Yellow and Blue out of the loop so they wouldn't go get her. That would explain why there's a giant crowd ready to greet their return. It would also add a reason for Yellow and Blue to join the crystal gems against White.

I believe White Diamonds 'glow' isn't due to her being a star, but because they are in her ship! As Steven is in the Pink Diamond Ship his legs are glowing , and the same goes for White! You'll see that her glow comes from ONLY her upper body, and her feet dont actually glow at all, and that her legs seem faintly glowing because its shining down from her head. If she was a Star her entire body would glow including her toes haha! Also in Rebecca Sugars drawings she has a more visible gem and her eyes are darker, which is probably what she looks like when shes out of her ship!

Pink Blue and Yellow are the Emotions White couldn't deal with so she split her self to rid her self of their weaknesses. The development within this story line will be way too good! on that note if you take Yellow and Blue which makes green and added Pink you get a sorta off tone brown coloring add white to that and its a murky dark diamond that of the lightly tented scale then you have a near colorless diamond with the next on the scale being the totally Colorless diamond Which is what we are dealing with in Whites case.

That actually makes a lot of sense. In her telling of Roses story, garnet said the diamonds "unique in their flawlessness" which always confused me because blue and yellow are obviously very flawed. If your theory is true then blue yellow and pink ARE the flaws and white tried to make herself flawless.
Maybe this can only be resolved by all of the diamonds re-fusing into one again.

Can someone please just clarify for me how it was confirmed white diamond destroyed homeworld? Last time I checked that’s the aftermath of creating gems as we saw in “It could have been great”. I feel like one or both of the Diamonds are going to be poofed. I mean, for Yellow to remark about Pink being bubbled by White, something similar might've happened before, possibly to Yellow herself. (It'd explain the random outfit changes between her four appearances, anyway).
I mean, it's unlikely that Garnet would let, say, Connie go with them if she was going to die permanently. At the very least, the Crystal Gems + Connie will all turn out okay. However, Garnet doesn't really care about the Diamonds - so, if anything happens, I'm guessing they'll be the ones to suffer.

I never thought about that! White was babbling about pretty random things in comparison to what Steven was saying. Maybe she was blocking Steven out, and like you said, talking to the gem! What if his gem was responding to White, which is why White was saying all that stuff? Otherwise how else would she know that Steven was associated with Pink!!
While it is an interesting theory, it could also be that she is so unstable/angry that she is just babbling and that, while she is speaking at the gem stone, "pink diamond" isn't hearing anything. This would go with the fact that only pink diamond or steven can exist at the same time.
I think it might be possible for White to communicate with a gem that isn't formed but I disagree with some of the statements in your comment
1. Steven can't be poofed he's organic and if was in the scenario that would poof a gem then he would most definitely not dissipate into a cloud of dust since he is physically incapable of doing so this was said in a podcast and while i don't watch them Roundtable and Slice do and they refer to podcasts to back up their theories
2. Pearl taking out Steven's gem would've had a similar effect on Steven's body as it did when Steven took out Lapis's gem from the mirror she was stuck in, the mirror was made of glass making it shatter, but without Steven's gem the only reason he exsists then he would basically be a robot without it's power core unable to do anything, unable to move or breath, this may be a little violent for a kids show but they wouldn't show a character being straight up killed the closest thing they have to that is a skeleton in monster bodies and I guess shattered gems but still doesn't really kill them
Steven is to Rose what the mirror was to Lapis, they both can't reform and if their gems were taken out of their places then the host would be killed or destroyed so no White will not straight up tear Steven's gem out because that would kill him

I'd like to think that White Diamond actually _is_ blind, acting both as a symbolic representation of how detached she is to the affairs of other people _and_ explaining why she did not question Steven's human form. Couple this with the mind-control ability theory and this could explain why her Pearl shares the same voice actor as White Diamond and why she did not even look at Steven when she addressed him. White Diamond was controlling her and, being blind, she assumed that Pink Diamond was still taller than her Pearl. This could also be a part of corruption, prolonged control over a gem (her Pearl probably lacking all autonomy for eons) caused her to degrade into the state that she is currently in.
Of course these are just theories.
I like the theory that she could be blind but i also think all the diamonds see is the actual gem. and not the "light projection" actual being because she didnt really question Stevens voice even the little bit that he spoke..she probably has changed many forms herself too...
