Haha, thanks! He’s quite the project manager. Makes sure I meet all his specs and standards. He was very happy with how this turned out! Now we just have to store it forever!
Thanks!! NYC is ridiculous. Just think of a number that sounds absurdly high for rent, then double it 🤪 We make the most of it here, but I would happily move to the burbs if we could!
In addition to the headlights and tail lights, we used some led string lights along the window, but they’re not nearly as bright and not that visible in the video. I probably could add more lights, but by the time I was done with this I was pretty burnt out on it! 😆
I don't care how immature it is, I'm dressing up as a Mr. Softee or another man who I call "Mr. Twister" He was a man who drove an ice cream truck, but on the day after July 4th, *he never came back.* I'd probably want to dress up as Mr. Twister because imma be honest... I miss him.
Hi! So it took probably about 30-40 hours of work over the span of 2 weeks. I was so focused on figuring out how to do it and getting it done, and although I took a few short videos to track the progress, I didn’t really think of doing the video until I was almost done with it. Even though it’s been a year, I probably can/should make a longer video about it! In the meantime, if you have specific questions, feel free to ask!
That is SICK! and extremely awesome! Definitely beats my Mom’s attempt at making me “the tin man” with 2 rolls of aluminum foil. That was back in the 1970’s, way before the days of Photoshop. Errata -> the color is all wrong. I’m guessing Jordan will be riding in a RED truck in due time. 🙂
Thanks! Jordan gets some big ideas. This was a tough one to pull off. Thank god for photoshop or I never would have been able to make the specific menus he wanted from real trucks 😂 I think he hasn’t asked for a fire engine because he knows I can’t make a 1/3 scale Code 3!
Wow!
Thanks!
Better with your hands than I am. I could never build that, haha. Glad your son enjoys it!

@@TripleJFire haha no problem. he's lucky to have a mom like you.
Mister Softee
Omg I been wanting to do this. Definitely making this for my son for Halloween 2024. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks for watching! Good luck and have fun if you decide to do it! It was an exhausting October for me, haha 🤣
@@TripleJFire that is why I am starting now so I can take my time lol
Mister softee wow ❤❤
My mom will do that for my brother
Thank you for liking my comment!

You should add lights on it like the real truck

But either way, amazing costume. I'm jealous
Thank you! I wonder if you can find out what ever happened to Mr. Twister!
I wish you had an in depth tutorial. I want to build one for my kid. How long did this take?
