    According to the video, I can just use a needle or something and pry the coin detector thingy up in order to fool the gumball machine.

      not quite. there something this model doesn't show. usually a stopper or a screw that stops the coin from going all the way around so if you did that it would jam the machine up.

    gumball machines are a bit of a scam tho arent they? atleast where i am, all of the gumball machines cost about 1 or 2 euros, the tho you can go to a nearby kiosk and buy gum like that or if they dont have ones like that then other gum, for 0.05$ or 0.10$

    How does it only allow certain coins to give a gum ball?
    Also I’m still unsure how it only allows one gum ball out.

    • @alishancharania784
      @alishancharania784 5 лет назад +12

      Remember the slot in which your coin fits? That is specifically designed for a specific coin - a cent, quarter or whatever. Anything thats bigger than that won't fit, while anything smaller won't disengage the locking pin 2:31.

    I think this video thought me how to scam a gum ball machine. I’m pretty sure. So if you put some sort of coin width rod into the coin slot while keeping hold, it’ll allow the piece that would jam to pass over the coin slot and you can take the rod out and keep turning until a gum ball comes out.

      How about using a coin shaped neodymium magnet? Since it's magnetic, the magnet shouldn't fall off if the rotating thingy is made of magnetic metal. That way, you should be to turn it forever and when you're done, pull the magnet with another magnet.

    Whenever I went to the mall as a kid I always 'dry twisted' the handles of the dozen or so gumball machines near the entrance, just in case, you know? One incredibly fortunate time I discovered that the black cherry gumball machine was broken and would dispense a gumball without needing a quarter. I had so many gumballs that day.
