We used to have Mister Softee in Buffalo but unfortunately they left the company and changed to Buffalo Soft Serve a couple years ago. I got videos of those trucks too
Thanks! If you’re still in Philly, they might still be nearby even if not right in your neighborhood, because we’ve definitely seen them in some Philly neighborhoods and suburbs on the app. It’s cool how there’s little differences between trucks, especially between states-like NY has yellow slow signs, and NJ has red stop signs on the trucks.
I’m sure there are some not too far away from you then! They have a free app, search Mister Softee, it shows where lots of the trucks are (I don’t work for them, we’re just superfans, haha)
Cool! Once we found out they have an app that shows trucks all over, my son made it his mission to go to as many as possible. I was just happy to know when a truck would be in my neighborhood! But it ended up being pretty cool seeing how they’re all a little different.
Maybe eventually, but probably not soon. We found so many last year that there haven’t been any new ones in Manhattan, so we haven’t been filming them. And I’m kinda happy my son hasn’t tried to get me to drive all over Queens stalking new trucks 😆
In general NYC trucks are shorter than elsewhere so they can fit on the streets and park more easily, but I don’t know why that one is particularly short!

Bummer! We’ve watched your videos! My son was hoping there were trucks up there that aren’t on the app based on your videos-but I guess no longer
@@TripleJFirethey never used the app. Even when they were with the company

Yeah we love the app! Brooklyn can be a hike by car from the upper west side… and we kinda need the car to find lots of trucks!
It is 85 in the Bronx
All you Mr softee truck operators be ware of criminals breaking into your trucks
I see one in the Bronx
My uncle drives truck 27
Very cool!
@@TripleJFire thanks!😊
truck number 55 is really short. idk why? They make them short, but it is for one reason.

Ok@@TripleJFire
@@TripleJFirethere normal length someone probably just used a shorter van some of the bronx depot trucks are home built
Why do the generators run so loud? There are quieter generators on the market, why doesn’t Mister Softee incorporate them into their trucks?
I think they’re actually running the engine of the truck and not a separate generator
@@TripleJFire thank you for the information. It makes total sense for it to operate that way.
Where.s Queens trucks
We’ll probably be looking for all of them next summer! We started local and expanded… didn’t make it around queens this past summer!
