My German grandmother exactly. She also had this way of “guilting” everyone to do what she wanted, the way she wanted it done. Her usual ask started with, “in your spare time . . . “, which meant “do this right now”, even if you just sat down (or were thinking about doing so) after doing something else she asked you to do.
Reminds me of the time a group of Germans came to visit a more touristy area of lower mainland BC. There was a glacier fed lake and hot spring that most people visited (it was very crowded at the time so I think that's why they were at the empty creek), however there also was a large creek that was deceptively clear looking with lots of plant life, ducks, geese, frogs, etc in it. Locals knew not to swim in it because it was common knowledge that a lot of farmers ditches fed into that creek, and while there were no pesticides in the creek, there was occasionally unintentional fecal run off in it. Basically, the perfect breeding ground for water parasites. I came across the older germans just as they seemed to be setting themselves up to swim in the creek, and I warned them to not swim in it. They argued with me that it looked fine and asked if there was any physical danger swimming there. I stated No, but before I could explain further they shooed me off saying I needed to be more adventurous. Well, cut to about 3 hours later, they come into my workplace to eat, and they all are terribly itching their skin. I was concerned and asked if they had gotten into some thistles or poison ivy that tend to grow there, and they stated they hadn't and that after an hour of swimming they all seemed to become itchy. I then informed them that they probably had "swimmer's itch" and should go to a walk-in medical clinic to get some cortisol cream and get some information on how to calm the allergic reaction to the parasites in their skin. They were very alarmed and I calmed them saying that it was quite common to get it in creeks, ponds, and other smaller bodies of fresh water that didn't have quick moving water. They thanked me for the info and sheepishly apologized for ignoring my advice after I stated that they weren't in physical danger and cutting me off. They were very nice and easily agreed that they would be much more mindful if locals told them not to do something. I then warned them to stay very far away from the wildlife and explained how dangerous they could be.

@@Play_farethat's not a German thing tho
The aqua gym on thursday realisation was so on point 😭
Love your writing style 😊
@@suepatrick4214 Thanks!
I swear this content is even funnier when you have a German mother and this is how she talks and acts.. My favorite thing my mom does is oh crab instead of crap 😂
“Looks like you are growing whiskers like a poosy cat”…omg 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂
I truly know people like this and I have so much respect for the striking accuracy of the tone, mimics, expressions... everything is exactly om point😂
Why is this so motivating?
This is too wholesome. Made my day.
Wrist-straps securing the walking sticks for what looks like a leisurely stroll is so accurate
My God my mom ALWAYS STOPS WALKING FOR THINKING!!!!!
Drives me crazyyyyy😭😭😭
Remember those words when you get older, the time will come 😂😂😂
I got one worse, my mom does it while driving. She slams on the brakes. It's a miracle she's only caused one accident.
Do you also end up running into her from the back? And she does not even notice in her shell shock?
German women are fierce. Love this character.😂 so realistic.
Bund deutscher Mädels
In an interview, she said that The character is based on her German mother and Italian father. She is such a stitch!
Why did the 'I have aqua gym on Thursday' make me laugh so much!! So funny!
*about to get swept away to Oz* "What wind?"
How do I perfectly relate to this when it hasn't been my experience with my mom AT ALL??
Same! But like, I want her to be my auntie. I really enjoy knowing women like this and have met a few over the years. They're somehow uptight but also have a carefree zest for life at the same time. It's confusing but it works somehow.
...because you don't, you just find it funny.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 i know the difference between enjoy and relate to. What I mean is the archetype is familiar. There's an "of course she'd say that" moment after every line. Might be the collective amalgamation of sassy moms in movies living in my brain, i'm guessing.
Not my mom, but definitely my grandfather.
I love this woman ❤️ German Mother makes my heart happy
The little jog with the battons, ahahah.
I really enjoy how she knows/communicates exactly what she likes and doesn't like. It's super refreshing
You are my new favorite account. Your videos bring me so much joy and comfort ❤️
"You are cold?.....I am not" - is so goddamn accurate! Hahaha
I wonder whether she really went on a hike with her mom and mom had to film all of this 😂...
I have a german mother and I AM a german mother - I laughed so hard! 😂😂
This is sooo typical! 😂 straight in the face 🙈
“You are not going to melt”. Poles say this a lot too, as a little kid in Poland I heard that one ALL the time when it rained followed by “you aren’t made of sugar” lol
Haha your accent reminds me of my childhood neighbour’s mom. She spoke just like that.
And said the most odd things-Feels like home again. 😊 thanks love yr mom German videos
"Ryan Golsing"... someone has been replaced 😅🙂↔️
The accent is point on. Reminds me of my Oma ❤
this was my german mother and grandmother during our hike last year, totally on point 🙃
This beautiful human is getting me through a really tough time. I am so thankful for her 💕
Honestly, I find this attractive and I don’t know why.

good news this is the age of the internet just search for single german mums in your area
Mommy issues perhaps?
This is how i felt going on a 7 mile hike with my German mom. “Just a little further…”
German mother always makes me laugh. I know no German people yet I understand this to be completely accurate… amazing job
This is accurate... I was forced to hike up MOUNTAIN sides for many weekends in spring- summer as a child (weather too extreme & dangerous for fall-winter). You know your avg day-hike of 13mi nonstop carrying a small backpack & only stopping for 10mins at the peak before going back.
Yup. And that badly squished "Butterbrot mit Kaese" all you'd get to eat until evening.
I'm getting PTHD just thinking about it (Post Traumatic Hiking Disorder).
„Wir sind ja nicht aus Zucker“ 😂
I love this mother
Watching these videos has helped me understand my very German mother. 🤣
Oh my god the challenging you to go into a stream is so accurate. My German aunt does that stuff. I thought it was just a her thing😭🤣
Last time she convinced me to climb a boulder.
"What wind??" 😂😂 "..you're not going to melt!" "You have no sense of adventure.."😅😅😅
So happy to see German Mom once more!
The more you watch this the funnier it seems to get.
Italian Dad is fantastic too ( 'dress shoe tap' while cooking dinner)😂😂😂
I love your German mom! ❤
