Improve Your Balance & Strengthen Feet + Ankles

  • In this series of simple exercises that anyone can do,I will help you improving balance, body coordination as well as strengthening feet and ankles
    Balance exercises help you improve health, mobility and confidence. With constantly shifting your weight back and forth you’ll get more familiar and comfortable with being able to balance in different positions. Balance has to be trained along with strength, endurance and flexibility, it will keep your body and brain fit and healthy not only for the duration of your career but life.
    Having good balance is important for everyday life, not only dance, we do many activities throughout the day as simple as walking, leaning over to tie up our shoes and going up and down the stairs. Balance exercises can also benefit older adults to prevent falls and fractures. For dancers balance is a key element.
    These exercises will help you bringing awareness to your body through space, improve agility and reaction time in your muscles, improve coordination, promotes joints stability (ankles, knees,hips and shoulders alignment) therefore can prevent a whole spectrum of injuries including sprained ankles and knees problems.

    Two years ago I had a traumatic brain injury which left me with balance issues. I discovered your channel and this particular video and noticed many similarities with what my physical therapist was having me do. I started following your videos and made much better progress. I now follow your routines almost exclusively and now I find them to be much more helpful than anything else ! I'm convinced ballet related therapy is more effective than my regular therapy !

    Alessia, I can't describe how I feel right now. You can't guess how much I needed this workout for my ankles. I'm kinda new at ballet, and my strenght and balance isn't that good. When I was looking for something just like this video you somehow heard me and posted it. Thank you so much, loves... 😃😃❤

    Oh, thank you. I have spent a long time working on my balance and posture- still terrible. After doing your videos for the last few weeks I can already feel an improvement.     I broke my foot dancing and have had a weak and painful ankle/foot ever since. Maybe this will help!
