Howdy Sam, I'm a new sub out of Chicago. Just started rucking to train for the weird times we are in. I picked up both the DG16 and the DG3 slick to workout different loads. I just ordered up the velsys jungle kit and super excited. I appreciate your walk through of both systems. Take care and stay safe
Great review! I have the MKVII and I wish I got the DG16 instead. The MKVII is an excellent ruck and the sleep system is great for a winter weight load out. My only real gripe is I wish it expanded to the DG 16 volume height wise and the fixed pouches on the back annoy me. I have a small assault pack that I would mount to the back of my previous ruck and I can’t do that with the MKVII. Luckily the assault pack fits perfectly under the floating lid of the MKVII. If Crossfire made an all Molle MKVII with tall expanding snow collar, it would be THE perfect ruck IMO.
Yeah the Mk7 is a mission specific designed piece of kit based of the SAS pack they designed. I have a Mk7 and love the hell out of it. I find that sewn in rear pouches are great for quick access kit. I’ve had molle stuff for years and have grown tired of its flimsy nature, granted it adds versatility but sewn in is the way to go if you’re looking for mission specific. Find a mate who’s looking for a Mk7 and buy a DG16 if you need the smaller capacity.
@@m783w I’m going to keep the MK VII, it’s the best pack I’ve ever owned, I just wish they’d make a model like the MK VII with same capacity and a few tweaks to customize the load out.
New sub mate 👍. Great to hear about the rucksack. I use the British army 58 pattern webbing. Fits me great. I like the setup of the ruck. Thanks for sharing. Atb Andy 🇬🇧🙏🇺🇸👍🔥
I like your vids. I'm rocking a different setup but thats because I'm in a different environment. Here in high desert, I need more water and snivel gear.
Curious about that active camo on your rifle? It's heat resist? You got any recommendations? Going to paint my 762x39 build but having physical camo on top would be even more

The whole lineup has pros/cons for sure.

Environment dictates for sure.

It is heat resistant.
just watched your video, was wondering if you had any military experience?
i noticed he didn't answer you....
Do not.
Just now seeing about 1k comments that never showed up until now. So working on answering them.
@@samculpepper7289 well thank you for answering sir
Thanks for the interesting video.
However, what jacket are you wearing and where did you get it?
Truspec tiger stripe field top. Amazon.
Late comment, do you think the sleeping compartment issue would be fixed by just using a thick garbage bag or dry stuff sack to line it?
Certainly could
Where did you get the camo wrap for your rifle?
🤫
@@samculpepper7289 knew it…
