Love your channel marine, I'm a usmc veteran 0311 golf 2/7 ,I like how this back will sit above your 782 gear like the alice pack would, I think I might have to invest in this dg3 I've been doing a lot of humping lately just to stay in shape, semper fi
Had this pack for about a year. It is roughly the same volume and size as my Kifaru Zulu. Frankly, I love it. I use the side webbing to attach FILBE sustainment pouches and expand versatility. The center zip makes this pack excellent for various roles and purposes. You can access anything quickly.
OUTSTANDING review! I bought the Crossfire DG-16 about a year and a half ago when they had a 30% off sale. Best rucksack I own! So many features! Love it!!😎👍👍
Awesome, I Love The Versatility Of The Mollies Designed Pack! I Wish They Made Something Between The 55L And The 110L Packs, Like An Expandable 65-75 Liter Pack With A Rain Cover Built In A Bottom Outer Compartment Facing The Donners/Persons Back And Unfolding Out Around Back Of Pack Bottom On Securing Upward Covering To The Top, That Would Be Awesomer, Lol! 😎
If you want something in between the 110 liter pack and this one. Try the DG-16. It's the perfect size in my opinion. And when you add a few sustainment pouches on the front and sides, you really give yourself plenty of room for your gear!!
Great review,I have been looking for a new pack that could serve in different roles of work. My wife and I still hike hike and do other things with Alice pack but this is the first modern one I like. The current Army ruck is not as comfortable and adjustable.
Go head and click that like button if you or someone you know has clothesline themselves with the sternum strap after hitting the quick release 😂😂😂 Great video Gunny 👍🏼👍🏼
From my standpoint as somebody who preps, but civ, great content as always. Considering the prices though, I gotta ask: have you ever considered doing a video of comparing packs? IE - a mil-issue Molle II Large Rucksack (or the Med/Lrg British (is it DPM Woodland Rucksack? The one you see everywhere in woodland at similar prices to Molle II Rucks)but sorta of "gucci'd out" with either DIY approaches, improved padding on frame, better pouches, etc. Vs. - The ~$300 pack VS. - The $500-700 pack like these *Ofc all the gear your putting in it doesn't go into/attaching to it doesn't go into price comparison. Just thought I'd throw it out there as one of those videos showcasing pros/cons of the different tiers. Like quality of the materials, zippers vs velcro, frames, modularity etc. I got a Molle II lrg ruck as a 'budget' ruck, but have modded it a bit. Sewed better molle layout on bottom for attaching bottom pouches, better molle on the flap, sewed/glued velcro on top of inside for rip-off ifaks/shoulder ammo packs etc to hold em in place, replaced some of the clips/buckles, and better padding for shoulder part of frame. $100 for pack, maybe $50-70 for the aftermarket external/internal pouches, and maybe $50 for velcro, buckles, molle webbing etc. Sure I could have gone with a newer, better off-the-shelf pack in that $250-400 range, but firm believer part of prep/survival/LRP/recce is adapt/overcome aspects, with a general 'DIY or die' thought.
Out-effin'-standing pack. I would love the slick version but, 349 Somalians would make my wallet cry. I wonder if the Navy FCU would float me a loan. Lol. Thanks for sharing, you Mighty Awesome Devil Dog. ERRAH!!!
Thank you for draggin my eyes on this company. Outstanding stuff. But before I purchase one I'd like to ask - what colour variation do you use ? Is it Ranger Temperate or Ranger Tropical?
Fine detailed review. But I'd like to know the weight of this pack. I have looked all over for that one piece of info, including the Crossfire website. In vain.
Thought about getting me a new ruck. Then I remembered I get diarrhea every time I see a price tag on them fancy nylon bags with a couple of plastic buckles sewn on it.
Ever since I saw you using it when we were at Winter Forge I've heavily considered getting one, just going to have to jump on it. That middle zipper is a great idea, have you had any issues with that failing or the pull tab needing replaced?
@@Brent0331 Not much, livin' the dream hah, looking forward to getting down to an FTX when I can, how bout yourself? Good copy, well I think i'll have to pick one up if it's holding up with all the abuse you're putting it through lol. Good stuff!
Great video. I am looking for your recommendations for radios, small hand held for local comms and somewhat larger, like the size of a marine/boat radio to send hundreds of kilometers in the wilderness. Do you have a video of yours to recommend? Thanks.
Great review thanks! Two questions. Do you know where this is made? US or europe? Also, does the slick version have the helmet carrying pouch/capability?
Great review - super helpful. If you were buying one Crossfire to fit multiple roles (jack of all trades, master of none) would you choose DG3, 16 or VII? Thanks
The way you installed the helmet is Wrong As it's backward and it seems to make it slower to remove the helmet if it was placed on properly but it's not a Bad idea as it will cover any Identifying Patches etc or reflective equipment. I watched Gritty Soldier Utilise the helmet cover correctly. Well, I assume his use was how it was intended.

I’ve had mine for ~6ish months and I love it
Outstanding
Absolutely best review, leaving nothing to guess about. This looks like a perfect ruck for a bugout bag. Thank you much for this
Nicely done, both rucksack looks great, an excellent organisation for your kit. Thanks for sharing. Atb Andy 🇬🇧🙏🇺🇸
Sweet simple set up. Thanks for the review
Thanks for watching.
I find my DG3 slightly too small, but very cool design features. Using the dual kidney pads, it's actually decent to wear while pedaling a bike
Thanks
I have a Kelty Strike for going minimalist. This looks like it would serve a more flexible "bigger" niche for me. The strike is great but it's small.
My first time hearing you are still in the Marine Corps, hell yeah man.
Excellent review, keep up the good work!
Thanks
A top notch review!...Thanks Brent...woods
Thanks.
Karrimore also does something similar with less modular but same weight carrying ability in a Grey Man type scenario.
Cool Pack Brent, I also like the capability of positive buoyancy.
Great content, Great review, Thanks!
Thanks
Go head and click that like button if you or someone you know has clothesline themselves with the sternum strap after hitting the quick release 😂😂😂
Great video Gunny 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks, I'm actually a 1stSgt now.
Such a badass review
Outstanding!
Thanks brother
From my standpoint as somebody who preps, but civ, great content as always.
Considering the prices though, I gotta ask: have you ever considered doing a video of comparing packs?
IE
- a mil-issue Molle II Large Rucksack (or the Med/Lrg British (is it DPM Woodland Rucksack? The one you see everywhere in woodland at similar prices to Molle II Rucks)but sorta of "gucci'd out" with either DIY approaches, improved padding on frame, better pouches, etc.
Vs.
- The ~$300 pack
VS.
- The $500-700 pack like these
*Ofc all the gear your putting in it doesn't go into/attaching to it doesn't go into price comparison.
Went to their site and
Sold out!
Yup, I think they have a waiting list you can sign up for though.
Leaving a comment won't hurt this great channel. ;)
Appreciate it brother.
Out-effin'-standing pack. I would love the slick version but, 349 Somalians would make my wallet cry. I wonder if the Navy FCU would float me a loan. Lol. Thanks for sharing, you Mighty Awesome Devil Dog. ERRAH!!!
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for draggin my eyes on this company. Outstanding stuff. But before I purchase one I'd like to ask - what colour variation do you use ? Is it Ranger Temperate or Ranger Tropical?
Solid content man, keep up the good work!
Appreciate it.
Fine detailed review. But I'd like to know the weight of this pack. I have looked all over for that one piece of info, including the Crossfire website. In vain.
Thanks for the video. I got too many back packs lol.
Ha, likewise.
Good video as always marine
Thanks for watching.
Thought about getting me a new ruck. Then I remembered I get diarrhea every time I see a price tag on them fancy nylon bags with a couple of plastic buckles sewn on it.
Ha
I like my DG16 the best
always fun to watch your videos. question; is crossfire made stateside?
Bag is sick definitely need one
You wont be let down. I use the hell out of that MKVII.
Ever since I saw you using it when we were at Winter Forge I've heavily considered getting one, just going to have to jump on it. That middle zipper is a great idea, have you had any issues with that failing or the pull tab needing replaced?
What's going on brother. No I have haven't but I haven't used this pack as much as the MKVII.
@@Brent0331 Not much, livin' the dream hah, looking forward to getting down to an FTX when I can, how bout yourself?
Good copy, well I think i'll have to pick one up if it's holding up with all the abuse you're putting it through lol. Good stuff!
Nice pack and review!
Thanks for watching.
Great video. I am looking for your recommendations for radios, small hand held for local comms and somewhat larger, like the size of a marine/boat radio to send hundreds of kilometers in the wilderness. Do you have a video of yours to recommend? Thanks.
Thanks, I'm not a radio expert so I'm not the person to ask in these regards.
Question....who is the maker of your tan blouse?
How does this compare to the medium alice in size? Looking at either this or the 16 to upgrade
What shirt is the coyote with slanted pockets ?
Great vid as always, thank you! What pack do you have on the back of your plate carrier?
Do you find that the slick version with internal frame carries just as nicely as the external frame version?
Great review thanks! Two questions. Do you know where this is made? US or europe? Also, does the slick version have the helmet carrying pouch/capability?
Thanks, Its an Australian company but like the other commenter said, its made in Vietnam.
Thanks! I'm good with Vietnam. They do make quality stuff. Wish it was Europe/US but it'll do.
Great video! Can I ask you what is the tshirt and pants you are wearing during the explanation? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for watching. If I remember correctly the shirt is made by Tru-spec and the pants are 5-11, I dont recall what they're called.
@@Brent0331 thanks!
Hello Brent I hope this isn't a dumb question. Did you have to pay duty tax on the pack? Thanks in advance.
Those are some nice packs may have to replace my helikon tex matilda pack with one of those.
Hello, may I ask, Is DG3 Frame compatible with alicebackpack?
Woot woot 👍🏼🇺🇸
What is the shirt he is wearing?
What would you say is the smallest size pack suitable for One Shepard?
Medium ALICE, I wouldn't go below that. This CF DG3 is the perfect size for the 1S FTX.
Thank you😺👍
Excellent information
Thanks
Hello Brent! I follow your youtube channel and I appreciate your work, you have a great talent! you can make a video about military knives?
Do you think we'll see any reviews of FDF Finnish gear? From accounts, it seems to be the most 'gucci' equipment on the market.
I don't have anything from there.
Random question but what watch is? A Garmin?
How much 110L pack in kg?😮
Great review - super helpful. If you were buying one Crossfire to fit multiple roles (jack of all trades, master of none) would you choose DG3, 16 or VII? Thanks
The VII, Its got room for everything. Just tighten down when you're running smaller loads.
@@Brent0331 Thanks Brent
AAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMERICA!!
Good vid.
Thanks
Is there any way I can win one?
Question are you apart of a militia if so what state I’ve been seeing footage of squads in your video is that your militia group
One Shepherd or S&S training solutions, not militia but numerous Patriots do come and train there.
Very awesome
Thanks brother
You didn’t do the America intro
Its not an American pack, its an Australian company.
Yes, I put it on inside out.
They've got some nice looking kit, but their website is wonky
hi
if you want I can write advice for civilians in case of war. According to the experience of Chernigov.
I will not write advice for the military, since the war with Russia is still going on. (according to the experience of being in the Territorial defense of the city of Chernihiv)
👍👍👍💪🏼💪🏼
My brother built like a brick shithouse. I know those crossfire reps were closing their eyes when you tightened those straps.
I freakin love mine I just wish the Army would let me use it over the piece of shit issued MOLLE ruck
$520.00...hard pass for me.
wow.. and only a third of my monthly rent!
Hi Brent, isbthere any email contact to you?
