      It still gets shown from time to time on "american heroes channel" or else military channel. The only doc series better than GTB would have to be Dogfights. I think Dogfights is the best war documentary series of all time. The only other that comes even close is "The Vietnam War" 10 part series by Ken Burns.

    If the Germans knew how few tanks the Americans had when they first counterattacked Stormont and how cobbled together they were, and yet how successful the were, they would have face-palmed.

    Winning a war is Not just about technology, you need an endless supply of money, food, weapons, and people to use those weapons, example, one source says that Russia alone built over 116,000 tanks to use against the Germans in WW2, and research how many Airplanes the U.S built and supplied to the Allies in Europe, Germany had the technology, but not the resources for a long drawn out World War on so many fronts, Trivia, what Nazi scientist/engineer in charge of Germany's rocket program was captured by the U.S at the end of WW2 and brought back to the U.S and then put in charge of the United States rocket and space program, recognized and praised by several U.S Presidents, and lived like a KING the rest of his life, this same man, used Slave labor of which Thousands died, during his time as the head of the Nazi rocket program,BUT,he was not held accountable for those deaths,i guess in some circumstances, the end justifies the means.

      @kennethdeanmiller7324 7 дней назад

      Were you there? Idk, if Leach & Abrams says there were Tigers interspersed among among a greater number of Panzers I would tend to take their word for it. Just like the tactics of firing smoke rounds so the Sherman's could flank the German Tanks & knock them out firing on the German more vulnerable side armor. And to those asking how we won the war with an inferior tank. The Sherman was the Superior tank in Africa but the Germans had upgraded immediately following the defeats in Africa. Therefore the much more numerous Sherman's used tactical advantages as I previously stated & the fact that the Sherman's outnumbered the larger German tanks about 10-1. Plus the Allies had already upgraded the Sherman's as well with a 76mm gun that would penetrate the front armor of the German tanks & the Allies also having air superiority took out many German tanks from the air. The Thunderbolts & Mustangs wreaking havoc on the German tanks, trains & interstructure. That's another thing people don't realize about the war in Europe. For almost a century trains had been used to move troops & equipment ie: artillery & ammo and such to get to where it was needed most at the frontlines. And the intervention of air superiority ment that the Allies could damage or destroy such trains so that troops & equipment would have to find other ways to the front. And Germany being confined in Europe & battling Russia on one front was hard pressed to logistically support another front on the other side of Europe. That's why IMHO, that Hitler was a complete idiot for attacking Russia when Russia was actually protecting its largest land border. AND Germany was already at war with Great Britain. Carrying out Barbarosa & then declaring war on the US after Pearl Harbor imho just shows how completely mad Hitler must have been. Germany already couldn't defeat Great Britain, so it decided to declare war on the US, & invade Russia. I will go so far to say that if Germany was not already at war with the US, UK & the Allied forces that it may have been able to defeat Russia. Or at least take about half of Russia's lands & propose a peace agreement. Which Stalin may have agreed to. But Hitler WAS SO CRAZY HE WANTED TO TAKE OVER THE ENTIRE WORLD WHEN HE CAN'T EVEN RULE THE WHOLE OF EUROPE. But he did come close to ruling all of Europe. Evidently having all of Germany bow to him made his head swell up like a huge pumpkin. Poor stupid fool. Or maybe he was truly the Anti-Christ & we were just lucky enough to defeat him this time around!!!

      @@kennethdeanmiller7324 A typical unqualified "because we won the war" answer... Tiger Tanks were organized in heavy tank battailons. There were 3 of them in the Ardennes - all of them were equipped with Tiger II. But to Americans, every tank was a Tiger...and the Mustangs knocked them out by thousands, only with their machine guns...

      Actually American tank destroyers had 90 mm guns which helped stop the lead units just past Stoumont. Also American 155 mm artillery was second to none. American ranks were faster and also had a faster rate of fire plus a faster turret swing to bring to bear. More mechanically reliable as well.
