Looks like Trench Crusade now holds the record for the "dead by woke any% speedrun" by a huge margin, speedran it so hard it died in the concept stage. Usually the wokies wait until it actually shows more than concepts before claiming something.
Trench Crusade has existed in some capacity for over 7 years. They did a Kickstarter for minis in 2022 and you can play the game right now with the playtest rules. The game was infested with woke crap from the start. The creator has always been a naive appeaser of mentally ill people.

I was thinking about doing one with a nearish future 2nd civil war in America with 4 warring factions and DC being the objective for a campaign.
Like one army is based out of the South in a town known as Rome, GA. Another more elite force with mechs, a near-hivemind esc faction in the north, and mad max style army from the rust belt.

Honestly I am not mad at all. I just saved lot of potential money that I might have spent on another wargame. I am simply through giving money to companies hoping that in the end they won't be "that woke", or "they will change their ways before the product is out", or "only some of them are raging wokists, but there are some actually decent people as well" or perhaps "they are only cooperating with woke lunatics, but they are not bad themselves".

Well, I speak with my wallet. Trench Crusade wasn't even on my radar until this video. Now it is something to avoid since the creators are supportive of this 28 Crew. In fact, I will list 28 Crew and anything they are a part of on a list just as Sweet Baby Inc is.

I just found Trench Crusade from YT lore dump video. Only clicked on it because I thought it was the commercial release of Trench Foot, a big Doom 2 mod that took heavy inspiration from WH40K, Kriegs and WWI.
Better go support that instead.

Saw a few things about the game, small warbands, mordheim creators, etc wich ticked my interest...next things i "heard" about this game was "voke invasion", "cultists/locusts" got control of it.

You say that we should not retreat, others say we should show the companies that these moves are a financial disaster. How about a third position. Why don't we bond over things that actually matter. Our own personal projects involving things like carpentry, hunting, mechanical interest, general trade and craft skills, or if you REALLY are not physically inclined, things like coding, art, ect. We need to start making our own things rather than relying on others to do it for us. That way we really CAN gatekeep the hell out of it.

I'm just leaving this here to remind anyone thinking that their might of been a miscommunication. No. People came forward and presented screencaps, with no evidence outside of suspected wrong think known as "vibes" and showed it to the lead. He doubled down and agreed with the result. Their Kickstarter is around the corner and upon realizing that he is going to lose money only relented and is coming up with an Orwellian discord to survey anybody interested in the hobby.
Currently they have the discord open again but with heavy surveillance and you will be flagged for silence and unable to speak at their whims.
Keep in mind none of the people in the discord broke any rules and no evidence has come forward for any bannable offense outside of relations.
Edit: Also to add onto more on this. You have a game coming off the ground. You need as much money as possible to allow you options to continue in the future and establish framework for a reliable company. Warhammer 40k is one of the most expensive hobbies out there. It's full of whales. Literal consumers. Your first notion is to ban them while their flooding in droves to show interest and buy your product? Look at the horrible decisions done by GW and how people will still kneel at the trough. If they just allowed one troll to post something bad to use it as coal to the fire fine. We all know it would be stupid but they would of at least had some ammunition. I play table top battletech and MW5. I dont read the lore or books so I havent had to deal with the woke gay bs they are pushing in the game, why I havent left it. D&D on the other hand I threw it all away. It's lost. I switched to Basic Fantasy. Its basically 1st and 2nd edition D&D. It's simple/fun/not woke. Im very happy with it.

I watched videos about TC and saw graphics from the game. They were not in my type but made in a splendid way. There were nothing which could suggest that game itself or its lore is woke. Even women characters are clearly femine. Yes, they have masks etc. but almost everyone in this setting has one so that wasn't strange. There were no woke declarations from the devs or test players during battle reports. Nothing. But I see one sign of woke and a red flag... bad community managers!

I think it's early enough where something can be done. If not to force it into being something actually worth while, than ruining it for them.

I'm Christian, I like this alternative timeline dark setting, I like the lore that they've made. I seriously hope the Trench Crusade team is just a bunch of meek individuals who don't want to rock the boat for promotional material. Be like "here's where it says women can't be Priests, here's a quote against homosexuality, here's a quote about mutilating your body, here's one about coming to Christ."
That's the thing about this game, they've painted themselves into a corner. They've already said that it's an alternate timeline starting in the 12th century? Well there's 1100 years of Christian works condemning them? Is it real world politics? 100% not, because THEY CHOSE to make their lore based around this and these teachings
