      I've tried this after my big chop.. I went from TWA to shoulder bone length less than 4 months.. it helps out alot just be careful if you're protein sensitive and the smell can be overpowering for those that dont like maple syrup. Enjoy your Journey 😊👍

    I've been making fenugreek tea and drinking it every evening for the past couple of weeks. I can already see a difference in my hair ~ the roots look a lot thicker and my hairline is starting to refill a bit :D I'm excited to see how it looks after 3 months!

    • @emi6099

      @Lovely Sunshine how do you make the tea?

    • @LovelySunshine17
      @LovelySunshine17 3 года назад +10

      @@emi6099 I bought a bag of organic fenugreek seeds on Amazon and I have reusable tea bags. I put a tablespoon of the seeds into one of the bags and pour boiling water into my cup (around 12 oz). I let the seeds sit in the water for around 10 mins so that the nutrients can seep into the water ~ you'll see that the water changes to a yellow color. I think some people also pour the seeds directly into their cup without a tea bag and just drink the whole thing. But its pretty bitter in my opinion so I don't really want to eat the seeds with my tea. You can also get the seeds already separated into tea bags on Amazon (its more expensive though). Oh, I also put honey the first few times until I got used to the taste.

      I look forward to hearing your updates! ❤️ And it's neat to hear you're already seeing some results!
      I plan on starting to drink the fenugreek for hair and skin benefits soon. I can't start just yet, though, because I have my hair in braids right now and I'm waiting to see how much of a difference that alone makes.
      So I'll be starting on the fenugreek once I take the braids down, God willing. (-:

    I noticed as well with fenugreek about the strengthening properties.
    When I first started with fenugreek I thought I had understood that you can use it four to five times a week, practically every day.
    My hair is also protein sensitive I am low porosity I hold moisture very well in most areas of my hair I would have to say the crown of my head dries out the fastest even if I have my hair covered.
    I found out the hard way by using a mix of fenugreek and aloe vera and water that my hair could not take the strength of all of that put together every single day. Basically my hair started falling out at the root.
    So I'm still trying to recover bald spots.
    So I cut back on the strength of the fenugreek as well as the amount of times that I use aloe vera to approximately once a week in between that time I just use water water has saved my hair I seal it with oils. Or butter

    hi there Iyda, I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon your channel, especially to find a beauty with the same porosity and hair texture as my own. Yes I have been suffering from breakage and shedding and feel that I may have to chop again and start over. I did not understand how the protein will snap and break your hair. Now my ends are like stringy , but there is about 2 to 3 inches of my hair from the root that looks like yours. I had been following some other youtubers and you are correct, protein is not for everyone and you have to be careful how you use it. I was using henna spray and oil and alternating with fenugreek almost every day. I finally did a hibiscus tea spray that helped a little, but I fear I will have to start from the 3 inches and lose the 5 after it because it's straight and does not have a curl pattern anymore. Thank you Thank you beauty so much for your help and knowledge. No more Curly Proverb following, you are my new Tuber for hair, especially since this is during covid times. Im gonna braid my hair and let it grow several more inches, at least out to 5 or 6 and cut the rest in several months. Thank you again Iyda, you really helped. Y. Olivia

    Hey iyda! I remember i tried this once. it was super good not to mention pre soaked fenugreek seeds to later eat (phytic acid removed)!. I recently began wetting my hair with water and massaging it repetitively then adding a bit of oil and then water on top lately every day or every other day and noticed a huge change to my hair. Seemed like the "moisture" issue and water not absorbing was in part heavy products being too excessive and not waiting to re-wet the hair till it finally "stabilizes" and stops "drinking" up the water to add my olive oil. Also i've noticed a shower filter made a huge difference. At first my hair wouldn't absorb water unless i drenched it and massaged for a while, then waiting to add more till it seemed it "drank enough" and stayed wet but its gotten more open to water as time went on and reaches the "im full" stage faster. Maybe it needed some training or something. My sis put me on and i was mind blown really since NO ONE on youtube ever mentions this. You're doing great and your channel has been a huge help.

    I’m surprised you are using this Lyda , bcz you always say your hair is protein sensitive, I’m the same and I started using fenugreek spray I feel my hair is breaking

    • @IydaMichael
      @IydaMichael  2 года назад

      Please check out my latest video on protein sensitive hair. I explain how and why you still need to incorporate proteins in your hair when you have protein sensitive hair but you just have to know which proteins work better for your hair and how often you need to use it. I would not be able to use Fenugreek as often as others because I would absolutely experience protein overload. Please limit the use of the spray if your hair is breaking. You have to learn your hair in terms of figuring out of your hair needs protein at the moment or moisture and adjust accordingly until you achieve a good moisture protein balance! It will take some trial and error and experience!

    Check out RUclipsr Curly Hair Crisis . She drinks fenugreek water by soaking her seeds the same as you do. She drinks the water. She swears she grew her hair to waist length. I recently started drinking it also. I am only 7 days in, but can’t wait to see if I notice a difference in 30, 60, or 90 days.

    • @twill1007

      Yes, just be mindful of how much or how often you use it because without a moisturizer (which is what the glycerin is) it can cause protein overload
