    absolutely awesome dude!!! I would love to do this, but i can't at the moment as im 15 and dont have a job. Im wanting to start buying broken phones and repairing then selling them as i have a bit of experience from fixing my phone. Thanks for the great video!

      Yeah, I've seen the same video :) It's a bit more challenging doing it online... some parts get lost in the mail and have to be resent...etc

      @@RedskullPro It's a very new device and an iPhone for that matter, hence the pricing.. I was thinking about a discontinued device.. Most of its parts are like drop into place. I'll be waiting for the notification for it. 😁

    Wow, that's awesome. It seems pretty easy to assemble everything. I had an iphone 6s plus that a dropped on concrete and since then it never worked again, i still have the phone but i'm not sure which piece needs to be replaced. I didn''t want to take it into a shop cause i didn't have money at the time. I'm just curious if i would be able to fix it...

      may be a connector that got disconnected... or the screen broke... should be a pretty easy fix

    Excellent little project! Give me the envy to try it myself!
    But I am a little scared about the motherboard and the possible lock to a carrier, or to end up with a stollen one, I do not want to waste money. Do you have some recommendations?
    Anyway, that could be an awesome little project for my next holidays! Thank you!

      The motherboard that I got was from Ebay from a US seller...so I was protected by Paypal's policy...so I could easily return it and get my money back. Now...even thou it was described as unlocked...it was actually locked to T-mobile US... and at first I wanted to return it... but I talked to T-Mobile US customer service on Twitter and explained what I'm doing and they agreed to unlock it for me at no extra charge. Once that was done I emailed the seller and asked for a portion of the $ back because the product wasn't as described.... so I got some $ back from there... it is a bit of a hassle...but now that I am using this iPhone it just feels like a total victory

      yeah, it worked out pretty good with this company and this video was the most fun to make in the past 2 years I think. I am already looking at the cost of parts to put together an iPhone X... but the motherboards for those are just so crazy expensive... :)

    But You forgot to install rubber gasket between Touch ID home button and home button hole for reduce the risk of rotating the Home button to damaging the Touch ID cable. Buy that part for rid out that risk

      i've been using it for the past 3 days, calls, messages, tweets, instagram, everything! There are a couple of issues that I found but nothing major... the proximity sensor doesn't work very well... and when switching in between the two rear cameras the camera app crashes, but either than that everything really good

      Without the screen I am at $221 in parts. If I would have had to pay for the screen it would have been another $29

      yeah, but there were so many things that could have went wrong... it's fun for a project mostly if someone else is paying for it but too much risk involved to make something like this from your own money

      nothing illegal in putting parts together and making a phone. Since you would buy a used motherboard, that has iOS on it already, you don't have to do anything special

      I honestly don't remember... Been a while since I made this video... I think around $80-100 than a phone I could buy used... But it will be cheaper now since the iPhone 7 is getting pretty old

      The camera app crashes sometimes... It may have to do with the connector on the motherboard... But I didn't want to open the phone again to check

      Hobby mostly. I am actually gonna fix another phone shortly... My girlfriend broke the screen on her Pixel 3a XL and I bought a replacement screen to fix it. I figured I'll do it on camera as it may help someone one day
