Thats because apres are gel tips not cheap plastic tips. These wont sit flush on your cuticle or have any flexibility. Apres is only 200$ for the full system and 500 tips, doing a few sets of those and ypull have ur money back in no time.
I just noticed that she didn’t answer your question. Now, I don’t know but the Apres tips are a box of 500 and the tips link supplied here are boxes of 100. This makes the fake tips more expensive and the link says, on my end anyway, that they are discontinued lol 😂 well, good luck I guess ❤️🇦🇺
I went on amazon found the gel-x tip gel for under 30 ( it was sold by Apres on Amazon ) Then I searched for the gel-x tips found the CL Gel-X tips 500 count box also on Amazon for under 30- so for both, it was around 55 with tax.
Mine last a month. Maybe you didn’t prep the nail well enough or used the primer or cure long enoug.. i never ever had gel nails of any kind that lasted a few days on me
Do u feel like using the builder gel to adhere the false tips as opposed to using regular Brush on glue is worth the extra effort ?? I was thinking about buying the apres x set but I don’t really see a huge difference between those and normal press ons. I know the company says the actual nails are also made of gel but idk 😐
The Apres tips have a slight space, very similar to dual tips for Polygel. Anyway, Babygirl has just done a video on this same subject as far as using an almost exact tip as the Apres and she gives a link that actually works. Also, the imposter tip she’s showing us are in boxes of 500 the same as Apres. Good luck ❤️🇦🇺
I would recommend builder hard gel, polygel, or builder in a bottle. I adhered mine with just a base gel and they burned! Because the layer on the fake nail plus my nail was too thick and not meant for that.
Vicky Ortiz yes you can! Make sure you buff the inside that way it adheres better to your nails. I tried it with several brands and it lasts as much as acrylics do!!
Hm... I dunno. Im pretty sure someone somewhere is paid to come up with different application methods, slap a new name on our and get rid of stock add soon as possible. Dip nails are literally just bonder, glue, pigmeted acrylic, and brush on acrylic liquid and really cheap if you cut out the middle man. I don't think this a 'dupe' as such.... There are only so many ways to manufacture nail tips and gel. Im theory its a reversal of a traditional gel application so should last. I guess we 'll see

@@daprofessionalgelcolors6736 I bet you are right. I know they always say do not go to cuticle, but not what might happen IF you do. Thank you soooo much
Usually they say "don't go to the cuticle" because nails can "lift"/start to come off if your polish touches the cuticle. (Technically, the little ridge of skin that borders your nail and the skin on your finger is the eponychium. But many people call that part the cuticle.) Re: your lamp. I'm wondering if it's a uv lamp or an LED lamp. Gels cure in much less time when using an LED lamp.
Okay ny concern is the tips used. How hard or dense are they? Do they bend or flex like tips or fake nails do? Doesn't apres boast something about special tips? I cant remember :/
A. Walston I have the Aprés system and it’s VERY durable. I’ve never had one break or pop off, and I’ve had them on for a month. I actually do infills with them instead of soaking off after two weeks. As far as the bad reviews, I have no idea as to why, cuz I love them. If you prep the nails correctly, they’ll last.
@Sarah-Louise Thompson I went on the website and i believe you have to have a liscense/certification to purchase their product. It wouldnt let me go furthur without certification.
