I rebalance/refill my gel x nails. I use the builder in a bottle to float some gel in the area after I have prepped the area for rebalancing just like i would with my acrylics.
I really like the way you work. You are so fast and your nailsets are really perfect. I also do nails, not full time, they are not bad but it takes so long, especially glueing the tips and shape them. That only takes 1,5 hours…. So what an amazing job you do, nice to look at your videos. Congratz Kelly
I noticed you only took off 1/2 the old product. @3:46 it’s very noticeable. I’m self-taught for about 15 years now, strictly hard gel and decided to give the Gel-X a try 2 weeks ago. It took me at least 20 minutes to soak those off today and a thin layer (base I’m assuming) still remained. I drilled most of that off, but was wondering if it’s necessary to remove that remaining little bit in preparation for a new set?
Love your application! Will you show us how you'd appl these to yourself please? And you said to use 3 coats of the no wipe top coat to encapsulate. That's buffing in between right?
It's the first set I'm using apres system I used round long nails, I have them 13 days and they look great.. Pls tell us also if they last as long as the typical application, without any lift.. if they do, indeed I can save a lot of time.
Maria Z are your round tips thinner than the other Apres tips?cause mine are , & do they hold as good as the stilleto & coffin tips? Thanks for your time.
@@angelinauriostegui4605 hi Angelina.. I think that all have the same thickness, coffin is more curved and may be it seems different .. I v used also square medium and I kept it 2 wks and now I m wearing stiletto short and I think that they are the most suitable for my finger shape and they have the ideal length for me.. next time I will try coffin sculpted, I'm curious to see how they fit.. I did not have any lift with either of them at the moment but generally almond and stiletto shapes last longer..
You do beautiful work! Do you have any issues with the glob of gel that inevitably gets stuck under the nail? I’m sure a lot is perfecting how much gel to add each time but I can’t stand it when gel sticks and cures to my hyponychium.
I feel like I am going to get my nails done regularly would stick with gel, acrylic, or poly gel. But if I’m going to get my nails done for an event and let them “fall off” afterward this is a perfect choice. Right now I use press on and I feel like this is a press on girls upgrade.
I just use a fine/medium sand paper but to buff/clean the nail surface. Any cone shape drill bit will work for prepping the nail extensions. I don’t know what the name of this is.
Thank you for your explanation!! How long does it take you to do a full set with and without removal? Without the gel polish or any art, just the set...Thank you!!
Without polish or designs but shaping and filing included, applying a set may take about 45-60 min, the preparation of the natural nail and extension is key and takes the most time.
Why can’t you refill Gel X? The tips are made of soft gel and can be filed, drilled, etc. once they’re on, it’s no different than refilling anything else, be it acrylic, polygel, builder gel or whatever. Just prep and apply some gel!
Girl, you so pretty!!

Empress Swiss I was thinking that was possible I guess for people with clients they don’t want to risk getting complaint about air bubbles 🤷🏽♀️
Looove Them! I really enjoy watching your videos. You do a really great job explaining the process too. Please upload more.
Thanks for this...super informative! This way seems easier. I look forward to watching more of your work.
I just found this and the nail application is such a great technique! I used it and it made the process so much easier thank you so much !☺️
Best tutorial for Gel X I’ve seen. Love, light and thanks to you xx

Keep on practicing & in no time you’ll be able to do a full set in an hour or so👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼
You explain everything so well ..Thank you !
Beautiful job hope you make more videos like this and answer all our questions 🌺🌺💜
Love it! Thanks for sharing I'm going to try this technique😁
Awesome thank you, I'm going to try this method 😍
👍👍BRAVOOOOOOOOO 👏👏👏👏👏

Love your videos and all the great tips you give us tyfs! Do more videos more often I’m a new sub on your channel 🤗✨💕✨🔥✨🔥✨💕✨💕✨
Thanks!
This method is so much better than Aprés’s official method!
I fill all my gel apres dupe sets in. I do like 3-4 fills then do a new set. Love my gel. Never going back to acrylic.
No reason you cant backfill these. They are made of gel so gel or acrylic should adhere perfectly. Prep for a fill as usual and get it done.
I feel the same. I been a tech for 22 years now and I can't see why they couldn't be filled
Love your application! Will you show us how you'd appl these to yourself please? And you said to use 3 coats of the no wipe top coat to encapsulate. That's buffing in between right?
Wow! That does save time, and the design is so pretty! Oh, I know you’re not supposed to, but I fill the GelX in😬
Sam Hugh what do you use to fill in the gel x?
Dionne Bell, I’ve used the “glue” gel that comes with the system as well as other builder gels from other companies. Seems to work fine.
Sam Hugh Yes I saw a video of someone doing that. She called it a rebalance. I think I will be doing that too? Why is it not supposed to be done?
I rebalance my gel x nails using the builder gel in the bottle.
We have to do whatever saves our coins,so yeah I do my fills with acrylic💕💅🏼💅🏼
I’m going to switch to Gel x!!! Can please I ask what the milky pink color was you filed off in the beginning? It’s lovely!
You actually can fill gel x!
How long does it normally fake to do a full removal process?
I refill my gel ex nails and it works just the same
You can. They are gel. So you can backfill. They dont want you to because they cost $$$$ they want to to continuously repurchase the sets

Yes it takes practice. Use less gel and don’t press all the way down when you get to the tip. As the gel reaches the tip, stop applying pressure.
You can also try putting a form on before pressing the nail- at least the gel will cure smooth and not bumpy if there is some extra

These things will not budge honey they do t fall off like press on with glue these grow out like getting acrylics or regular extentions using gel.
@@empressswiss2080 Exactly! Apres are STUCK on, no falling off..
do you etch the inside of the nails prior to adding gel?
Yes. It's a must.
Hey! Love the video but how long does it take you to complete this from start to finish, from
Prep to top coat???
Joey it initially took me at least an hour and half, now I can do it in less than an hour (Gel x set and gel color no designs)
@@live.luxe.lisa.9131 WOW thats amazing. It used to take me about 1.5 as well not i cut it down to about 1 hour and 10 min... im trying lol

Yes you can they don't want us to so they can charge for the whole set, that's the point of the tips being made of gel.......
@@iamsolistic1870 right?!?
Hi. What is the watts on apex mini lamp?
what kind of drill do you use 🤷♀️
Kupa up200
May I know how much you charge for Gel X set? Thanks
K&PREEVES hello, with gel color starting $50
Where are you located?
In Philadelphia
I love YOUR nails in this vid. HOT
Awww I got a ❤️! 😘😘
How long does it normally fake to do a full removal process?
10-15 min, I file it thin before soaking which cuts down on time
