Mine have lasted 3 weeks. Love it. I never get 3 weeks with any other system had nails for about 20 years. Acrylic, gel or dipping I always get lifting. No lifting at all.
For doing this on yourself with no help, the easiest way to cure nails is to turn the lamp on auto, whereas the lamp is on without having hands inside. Also it helps if you have a lamp with a removable base. Remove the base and push the lamp toward the edge of the table. This way you can cure without trying to hold the lamp and can focus on pressing the nail tip on the nail bed to remove air bubbles. I hope this makes sense.
Thank you for sharing this method !! I didn't see your update on these , did they last long for you? Did they soak off easily? Did you have any lifting? Or did they last 2weeks or more? Tyfs✨😍
I just knew you were a Trini when I heard you talking! I got the Apres Gel X done but I figured I could do it myself because I like the simplicity of the system.
I tried this once so far and it lasted 3 days. It started to do that thing that fake press ons do where it was slightly lifting at the base so hair was getting caught. so none of them broke off and were weak it was just majoirty of them where lifting at points and it was easy for me to take a card and remove them. I used primer, protein bonder, & Base coat from what I can tell I did everything in this video EXCEPT rough up the inside of the nail tip. I do also have naturally very flat nails theres hardly an Apex. I do also clean houses for a living and had cleaned 2 houses while wearing these so i know thatll make it not last as long. When I get nails professionally done if im LUCKY they last two weeks. I am really trying to get these to last a week..if they can last a week ill be happy im just envious of people that say they last 3 weeks! ill rough up the inside of the nail and try again tonight.
I had the same issue but I found that curing under a stronger light and e-filing areas around the cuticle after application helped me a lot. All my sets last 3+ weeks now. 💕
I bought the wrong tips but I found another video like this one and my first set lasted maybe 3 days but my second one lasted a 1.5 and I got tired of them so now on my third! I recommend starting on your non dominant hand and thumbs last!
Hi can you do a video possibly with acrylic doing it this way essentially you shouldn’t have to buff the inside of the nail tip as acrylic fuses automatically should be a bit easier as well without the lamp love to see this video
Just clip them down, use a file to break the surface and soak off like you would gel polish. Except if you used hard gel instead of sculpting gel the only way is to file them down.
I love this. No need to drop all that cash for basically the same results. I was checking out buying the Apres on amazon and I know you can buy everything piece by piece. But this is so much easier.
I literally just finished mine today after watching babygirl nails and ivy. Polygel where 😳😳😳 This was soooooo much easier! Mine aren't perfect because I didn't have a pocket uv light or help, but I know what to do for next time. And..... I didn't have to spend $140, I already had all the products 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I love the shape of your nails, I'm going to order some soon. Great video!!!! You came in my suggested ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Taylor why you always playing with me??? LMAO!! I dead JUST did this on my self and had one hell of a time trying to get rid of the air pockets on my nails. I didn't have anyone to help me with the light. LOVE it!

How long did they last? Would you do these on a client? I’ve been thinking on doing them on my clients when they’d rather not get acrylics? 🤗 great video btw! 💕
Yes it works.. I have been creating my big toe nails this same way using polygel for over a year they last a little over a month on my toes.. then they start to lift, but I have no nail to adhere to..
Mine didn’t work! :( I didn’t use dehydrator or primer, would that be why? I used the same Makart nails and a builder gel from AliExpress (that Jamie used) by Fengshangmei in the color clear.
Yes you need to clean the nail with alcohol as the dehydrator but you must prime the nail it's like you are prepping for Acrylic or gel application sweetie
as it was with this system, I have time applying it and I am very happy using my gels as the hard gel clear Venalisa with that I stick the tips to my nails 5 weeks zero detachment. If you can apply acrylic on the tips just pass the bofer so that the acrylic sticks well it works like any nail only the tips do not stick with the glue tips and always do the Russian manicure bone dry, very good video thanks for sharing and I hope you tell us how it went with the system 😊😊😊
Tiger'sPrey Nails Thanks so much suga! I’m excited to see how they last myself. Saturday will be one week and they are well intact still 💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾🤗 so far so good
I did this with orly builder in the bottle and again with orly bodyguard (because that's what I had on hand). Both lasted for 2 weeks without lifting. But I think any soft builder gel will work. Also, if you dont care about the ability to soak off, any hard builder gel will do as well.
By Natasha Oh nice I’m happy to hear they lasted hun. You’re totally correct huni any builder should work. If it’s hard or soak off gel is a personal choice

I’m glad I’m not the only broke girl thinking that you could definitely dupe the gel x application with stuff I already had 😂
Mine have lasted 3 weeks. Love it. I never get 3 weeks with any other system had nails for about 20 years. Acrylic, gel or dipping I always get lifting. No lifting at all.

@@VividRose great idea
Its not easy by yourself, my kids help me with lamp. Hard when not home lol
You can also put your lamp (without the bottom) higher like on a box. I found that easier.
Cute little hand. ❤ It was so delightful to see that😀
Just adored that cute little hand helping Mommy! I want one too to assist😂😂😂

Is it Clear polygel she’s using to adhere the nails?
Hello, awesome videos, do you have any video showing how to remove this method? Is it the same process as Gel X?
What is the name of the madam glam gel polish color your using in the video?
Okay im curious. Doesnt the sticky layer of gel prevents the tip from sticking to the nail? Like dual forms...?
This video is amazing! I already own all of the supplies! I only have the the IBD gel, so do I need to apply a gel base coat before?
Thanks for the video! I think I'll just buy the gel-x tips and use the jewlery gel and gel topcoat at home
Hugh Jass i was thinking of doing that as well, because cheaper tips tend to crack. let me know how it went!
Is the madam glam base soak off

The nails are full nails as they cover the entire nails
And not the tip. So do you use tips, dual forms, or full nails?
GiGi Merced there are different types out there French tips, half well tip and full cover tips, these are full covered tips 💜

Can these tips be glued with regular top coat gel? I don't have builder gel. Or would gluing them with acrylic be better?
Base coat gel. Top coat won't stick them on. Base coat is best. Polygel works too just make sure you rough up that nail really well.
Thank you for sharing I definitely would like to try this method.
Great video!!! Thank you for sharing! 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻
since the false nail had such a defined apex and you have flat nails did you just add more gel to fill in that portion under the nail?
