I found a iPhone clamp on Amazon that was small enough to hold a led flashlight, so now I turn it on before I start applying the nails and just put my nail under once I’ve applied the nail. Saves so much time!
tmcdgreen I used to prop my light with a book and angle it out. I’m surprised so many people didn’t think to rig the light up in some way so they have both hands available. It’s a simple fix. I just bought a lamp with a removable bottom and sensors that turn on when you put your hand under and I turn it on it’s side and that works even better!
Yes I had exactly same struggle to do it on myself. I put my lamp to the edge of the table, presses the minute light and then applies the tip and when under the lamp to cure it.
I know the C-Curve is good but I always feel like the barrel of the nails are so thin! I've heard good things but I'm still not sold completely - I love good old sculpting, for me, they've taken away the fun of building your own nails :D Glad you did a video on it I was very curious!
I said the same thing but doing my own nails used to take me 2 hours plus .. after all day clients I don’t want to spend so much so these nails are amazing .. strong and beautiful !!!
Hi Isabel. This is the first time I’ve seen your channel and now I’m hooked! Your work is amazing and tutorials really helpful. I found you because I wanted to see reviews on Apres Gel extensions system. I think I will now invest thanks to your videos 👍🏼
There is a lamp that you can attach to your table that hangs like a light, and has a foot control to turn it off and on which helps a lot. Another thing I saw on Apres is they tape the light on the box by the cord, overhanging very easy . Also you can use primer to prep the under side, much easier. Good job though.
I’m 12 learning nail art lol and this video is so realistic and satisfying!! I wanted to buy one of these kits but I did it realise it was soo expensive!!! Oh well this videos entertaining cx
i’m 12 too and i’m learning how to do acrylic and other nails. if you want nails like this just buy this tips on aliexpress. they are the same. then buy some clear gel ( it doesn’t have to be in the bottle). oh and you must have electric file to file that nail tip so you can have them on for longer time. it’s not that expensive and it’s the same quality.👍🏻🙃❤️
Use a regular lamp with a detachable bottom and a ir movement sensor. I turn the lamp on it’s side. I love the Apres Gel-x system. So easy and I get lots of compliments.
I love this system! The nails last for about three weeks. The only thing is the nails are hard to place when you're doing them alone...i always need help curing them. I finally bought some clear nail clamps so hopefully they'll help. Tfs! ☺️
Yay so glad you filmed this! I love this system I’ve been using it on myself for months. Please do a video with a design (glitter?) on the apres gel x nails! Also anxiously awaiting for the release of the medium stiletto tips from apres
Great video! I love this idea and I'm sooo tempted, (like, in my basket tempted before my hols!) but how strong are the nails themselves? Are they a bit flimsy or are they quite sturdy? Thanks!
I put mine on the other day and I love them! I forgot To prep The inside of the nail but I’ve had them 4 days already and so far so good. I bought a gel kit of nail polishes for $25 with 30 colors and they are also amazing
OMG thank you for this video. I have the same type of tips and couldn't figure out how to get them to stay and cure so you are awesome!! I've looked all over and couldn't find videos on this way of applying tips with gel. Thank you!!!!!!
What’s the difference between sculpted and natural? Why did you get sculpted? I have rounded nail beds should I get sculpted or natural? Thanks! Love the vidoe
if it helps anyone, i put my mini lamp from the kit onto its side and hold the nail up to it to cure it just enough for it to stick, and then i do a second full cure when i don't have to hold it anymore
do you have flat nail beds? because i do and i want to get the sculpted tips because of their beautiful apex but i‘m afraid they won‘t fit or feel comfortable. what do you recommend?
Hi Isabel thankyou again for a beautifully put together video, So glad you did this clip they look fab , have few questions how long do they last? As they grow out, can you do a fill, with say, hard gel or gel in a bottle? and lastly were did you purchase the kit?, I cannot find it in your Dropbox. Side note I love to watch you work and that your honest about when you don't get it first time+ when you talk you don't have any and ern's....how do you do that ... Thanks again 😉

They seem so weak. I dont know what i could be doing wrong? i honestly couldnt do a thing becuz they were so flimsy
can i use only a big lamp even at the beginning when i have to put the nails and than also at the end to fully cure the nails or is there any differences ?
i get them done in a salon and they stay on and beautiful until you take them off. i’ve kept mine for 6 weeks once when they were closed because of covid !
My nails in terms of width is verrrrryy small. But when I try to file the tips to be my nail size it ends up looking really un-proportioned, what should I do?
I’ve been wanting to try this out but the kit is pricey.. I just found another kit from a brand called xtens nail system . I tried searching for it on RUclips nobody has reviewed it yet.. but it’s a lot cheaper and is the exact same thing they have a nice website as well.. xtens nail system is 59.99 us
I usually take the bottom plate off of my lamp and put it in the edge of the table and cure it that way. Helps with the extra hand problem.
So glad I read your comment! Now I know what to do, thanks 😁👍
Yes ! Or I prop the one side up so its easier to fit both my hands since I'm holding the nail down
Thank you for this tip coco x
Coco_Munroe me too lol
Girl you sooo smart lol
What I love about these is that as a nail tech you can have the ease of having effortless nails and then still enjoy building client nails 🙂
I really want to invest in this kit... they look so much easier and quicker then standard extensions... thanks for this vid!
Thank you for this. I love that you showed your struggles at the beginning and how you problem solved it.

Do you know if they’re thin like press on nails or a nice sturdy nail? When ever I use press ins and I scratch things like my face and clothes
@@kaeshalae1 they are not as thin as press on nails. They are very natural looking though and not sharp at all.
Amazing!! I was wondering for how long it’s stay? You can do a filling after 3 weeks? Or you need to take them out?
I have an idea, you could mount it with a rig to a desk to flash curre on your own. For the single peeps lol

They are great, just wondering if the tips can break / take off from the gel on the finger? Are they as strong as acryl nails or do they break easy?
IG: iam_ DREA_boo I had this and didn’t have the tips break, but after around 2-3 weeks they started to pop off

u can get a uv flash light and attach it to a extendable arm. That way u dont need an extra hand

they have to come off completely and be redone
do you have to use the extend gel or can you use nail glue?
It just takes a little practice . I do my own and it took me a couple tries to get them perfect w no help
never heard of this... Is this a replacement for acrylics? Or just 1 time use only?
That was really helpfull , thank you!
Hello. Are the nails strong? The actual nail part not the part that’s on your nail? I worry about them bending?
Elizabeth McEldery I’ve been using this system 2yrs and they don’t bend, they’re actually very strong 💪
If you get a snake neck flash cure lamp from Amazon, it helps cure it while ur holding it. :) helpful hint
I turn my lamp on first on 90 seconds then apply the nail then cure it.
What kind of e drill do you use?
How would you recommend to buff the inside of the tip if you don’t have an e-file? Xxx
Phoebe Haswell I don’t know lovely that is how they show to prep the tip nails 🙈😬
You can use a cuticle stone x

My extend gel seems a lot more sticky than yours and it gets everywhere. I wonder if I can add a bit of acetone to it to thin it out
Hopefully you haven't. You'll ruin it!!!
If you have the gel that comes in the pot, it seems thicker.
