The tip primer is a new thing. Instead of using a file to rough up the surface I guess. Looks like it is easier to handle that using the file to:rough the surface up too. Great system, and I love using them to keep my hands looking symmetrical when I have nail breaks.😊
I’ve been waiting since I was a teenager for something other than acrylics to exist and decades later but I got my answer. Salons are smelly, pricey, and intimidating.
Acetone for the excess. Just dampen a thin brush and clean it off. If after you put down the tip (before curing) make any corrections with gentle movements. Then cure. If you already cured, you will have to remove the entire nail and product and start over.
I am struggling keeping them in longer than a week. Any suggestions folks? My newest attempt is rubber base on natural nails and extend gel on the tip. 2 days so far so good.
i find that your natural nails may also play a part. Gel X doesn’t stay on my clients that have bitten nails. other than that I’d say size up and customize the tip shape wise to fit
I see you leave the product quite thick on the underside, right? but my question is... doesn't that application leave a gap between the finger and the extension? Or should that space be filled in later with gel?
what if my clients have nubs? aka for my nail biters who dont have any free edge whatsoever and want nail extensions and expect them to last a month? i have a method of doing it but i'd like to know if there is a better and fool proof way? love this product btw!
If my tips fit almost perfect to the nail not exactly sidewall to sidewall…just a little tiny bit off, am I ok? will the nails still work and fit/last as usual or does it have be to 100% fit
When your tips do not fit properly, don't force it. Go up a size and file the tip to the correct size, espessically for this type of application your prep work is key and ensuring the nails are fitting correctly are apart of that.
You can only file your ‘nail bed’ if you fully remove your actual ‘nail plate’ and that would be extremely painful so I think you are asking if you buff the top of the ‘nail plate’ where you apply the gel Polish to. I’m about to start trialling their gel system so will email Apres’ directly and ask them and suggest you could too. 😊
@@diannes1254 you knew what they meant. as did the person who already answered the question before you. there was zero need to respond in such a know-it-all way.
Hello . i love this product. but i have question. Do i have to use tip primer too? I didnt use a tip primer and did the extend gel after grinding the insde of the full tip with a drill. There was no tip primer in the full package. omg.. I did already couple of customer. OMG
I’m so glad this exists! I was so tired of acrylic smell and all that filing
There's monomer drops for the acrylic smell
The best system they have come up with I had my nails done and it’s very strong no lifting etc

I’m just noticing that’s new too
Yes I is new, about a 8 mo to a year or so….I think.
I cannot wait to try to new tip primer technique!!!
Great video! My clients and I love GelX

Lol I agree
Gel extensions have existed for a very long time. I started getting interested in gel extensions almost a decade ago
@@user-tj6jd7td5cI learnt gel nails when I was 18 & I’m now 49!!! Gel nails have been around for decades, they’ve just improved slowly over the years.
@@user-tj6jd7td5c I never knew they existed that long ago
Best system to use on my nail's...I love Apres 💜
How long does a set last
@@gua03jenn 3 to 4 week's for me as I'm in the Hydro pool and hot spa 3 time's a week...
What if you put the right amount of gel, but it comes out uneven, or wiggles out of the cuticle area part of the extension?
Clean it with a brush dipped in a little alchol before curing it.

Why isn't the led light it comes with not being used? Is it useless, i have the kit and didnt know i had to hold the nail on with under light
hi what gel color polish color is the model wearing? it's stunning! thank you in advance.
I was thinking the same thing!! A super soft taupe but I went to know exactly what it is too!
Was the natural nail not filed before gel application?
Looks like they skipped all the nail prep part 🫤

Mine has a gap causing the nail to break not even one hour after the mani
You probably need a natural tip then instead of sculpted. With correct application they last 6-8weeks@@titanandtheworldschoolers9235

What’s your method I have short bitten nails
I would also like to know
They need at least a small part of free edge to use these tips. At least that's what it says on their website.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Apres gel ex
Does this person not answer anyone questions below because all these are good questions but NO answer from the person who doing the video 😐
they don’t answer the questions here from what i’ve seen. they answer questions from their website tho!
Thisbis one large company, they do professional seminars that you can attend but they’re not free
They want you to attend their $500 classes.
Anyone know the gel polish color or something similar? It’s the perfect nude
If my tips fit almost perfect to the nail not exactly sidewall to sidewall…just a little tiny bit off, am I ok? will the nails still work and fit/last as usual or does it have be to 100% fit
It should be a perfect fit to avoid lifting. Go a size up and file the sides and cuticle area of the tip so you can make your own perfect fitting tip.

Am I supposed to file my nail bed before applying all of the 3 steps ?
Yes (: @larajean

Do you fill in the bottom with gel or leave it like that?
What do you mean by "the bottom"?
Why do you do a layer of gel glue under the Uv light instead of going straight to applying the nail with the glue?
Can we use hard gelfor applying gelx

The tip primer is used instead of filing the tip
@@Peachypolish14 is doing both a good idea?
Can you put acrylic over this
That would defeat the purpose of this. It’s would be very thick if you did so.
anyone else have a problem with the gel taking so long to cure or not curing at all? I’m using 48 W lamp.
😀😀😀😀Perfect
How do you reshape them? I feel like there needs to be a size between the small and medium lengths.
file them with a nail file
I don't have any of they products but i really wanna try they extend gel and primer
What do you do if the gel overfills from the bottom ?
Do you have a e file? If so use that to clean up or use less gel
I wish you would ship the extended gel and primer to Europe and not juste the gel tips
are we gonna talk about the air pocket at the corner of the free edge
