- This is one of my absolute favorite recipes - and I love that I can make it Whole 30 compliant with homemade (or Primal Kitchen) mayo. You can change it up, too, by using more or less of any of the ingredients, or even adding in extra stuff (grapes would be lovely)! Bon appetit!

Hi Shana, ok so it very well could just be my natural lip color (I feel like such a snot for saying that!), but it could also be just a simple chapstick-style balm from the brand Sierra Bees - they have a collection of shimmery lip balms in stick form and I usually keep one of those one my vanity for my lazy days when I don't want to do a proper lippie...which is most days these days! (I got a pack of four from iHerb, but I think it's discontinued now - I believe the shade I usually wear is just called pink.) Also, a very similar color to my natural color that I really like is called Blossom Lady by Ilia - fave.co/2GkSInN - this is one of their tinted lip conditioners.

Whole Foods sells tortillas made from coconut and almond flour. Completely Whole30 compliant.
Do you know what brand they are? I've heard the Siete brand is good, but haven't tried them yet (I've heard they are quite pricey!).
Not off hand but I'll find out for you. And by Whole30 compliant I mean ingredient wise. We all know they don't want is eating anything resembling bread. And yes, the one's we bought weren't cheap. they were around $7.99 a pack. I did Google Siete brand and found a 2 pack(16 tortillas) for $41.50 which is ridiculous.
Oh my gosh, Amazon can have such silly prices for random stuff like that! I think $7.99 is around the price I've seen for the Siete brand, will have to give them a shot! I also have a couple packs of coconut wraps (Thrive Market freebie), but haven't tried those yet.
Not compliant at all. The book stresses that you shouldn't use foods such as tortillas, pancakes, etc. with ingredients that are "technically" compliant. A large part of the program is changing your relationship with foods and eating WHOLE foods is key. You aren't retraining your mind and relationship with food by eating replacements such as fake tortillas or making a pizza with a cauliflower crust. The premise behind what you eat is far beyond just the ingredients. You really should read the book...
Hi Tasha, thanks for your comment! I have read the book a couple of times and have done strict Whole30s twice and generally follow a Whole30 style lifestyle. Yes, you are absolutely correct - eating "compliant" foods like tortillas or pizza crust isn't with the Whole30 ethos at all, but I think once you aren't going hardcore Whole30 after the program is finished, it's ok here and there. And I'm always interested in hearing about products like this, as I can't eat gluten anymore.

I really need to stop into Dollar Tree sometime! We have a Dollar General and a Dollar Tree where I live, but for some reason, I just never think to go in there! I read yesterday that they even sell fruit and veggies there - is that true?!
I also make this salad often, but sub out the chicken for eggs because my daughter is vegetarian. She loves it! Can you make a video on how you make your own mayo?
Ooooh eggs would be great with this! The mayo that I make is from the first Whole 30 book - this is the recipe - whole30.com/2014/05/mayo/ . When I do it, however, I generally use safflower or avocado oil - the recipe says to use light olive oil, which can sometimes be hard to find (and I've never been able to make the recipe work with extra virgin olive oil).
She's vegetarian but eats eggs?

Just for info, the Maille Mustard is not whole30 compliant, it contains Potassium Metabisulphite, which is unfortunately not compliant :(

Haha, super late response to this, but I just heard on the radio yesterday that chicken wings have tripled or quadrupled in price and there's this major chicken wing shortage right now, so restaurants are pushing thighs and trying to get people to discover the wonder of the chicken thigh! Hope you are doing well - are you back Stateside yet?
