Thank you! God knew I needed to hear this. I always read the word daily in different ways so it isn’t a lack of desire it’s more like a comparison of how other peoples relationship is to God which had me feeling down believing I’m not doing enough or examining critically my thoughts and desires but this was a good reminder to stop those toxic thoughts and remember those verses. I thank God all the time that Paul wrote these things to us bc He knew we would need the reassurance!
I’ve started Kanoe Gibson’s Heartdive 365 read the Bible in a year here on RUclips. It’s made all the difference in getting into and sticking with reading the Word daily.
Thanks for the share and reminder. 😊 I liked what you said to make a schedule, because I believe it will turn to a habit in that way. I've turned it into a habit to listen to my audio Bible app every morning when I wake up, while praying in the spirit, and in this way I've listened through the sum of The Holy Word several times, and I know that my faith grows by listening to His Word. However, i also need to sit down with my "paper" Bible each day, and I've noticed that that hasn't become an easy task, because i so easily let myself distract from it and I'm not proud of it. I've also noticed that when I decide to pick up my Bible and start to read and ponder, the time is going so quickly and I really don't want to stop reading! Abba Father, I know that it is super important to get stronger in the sum of Your Holy Word, so I can learn to know You as You are, learn Your way and will, and not go astray from Your Word and heart, so I thank You for helping me and my brothers and sisters in The Lord to faithfully read 📖 and ponder on Your Word daily, especially when we don't feel like it, in Yeshua's Name! Amen!

I have a reading the Bible plane for one year now I read some of it for months but unfortunately I have miss a lot of days so i decided to do it again this year now my youth pastor said that this is for $500 so I would say that’s a smart decision for those who never read the Bible now of course I want the money but if I don’t win it after 2024 I would say hey that’s fine with me. Because I need to learn more and more about the Bible and yes even the Old Testament and I can’t believe that there are Christians that say “ we don’t need to understand the Old Testament just the new.” No. We need both to understand his words because he is the same yesterday to day and forever.
When i clicked on this video i was afraid he might say, "A demon got me". He is probably the most solid and grounded christians out there. Great reminder and think you!
Bro I was legit feeling this rn, and this is the first time tht I’ve felt so guilty abt not doing my divotion😭 and I just hope God isn’t mad at me for not doing so😅😓
Just choosing to realize that we are in a spiritual (inner mental) war can really help. We have the power/authority by faith in Jesus (Luke 10:19) and our spiritual enemies do not want us to grow in enlightenment. Best wishes to all.
I needed this video right now in this time of my life because I feel like I never want to read it because I’m just not a big reader in general but it’s good to know there’s no condemnation against me for it. Still I need to try to discipline myself to reading it anyway even if it’s just a chapter a day because I do want to be closer to God. Thanks for the video and God bless!
It’s been a struggle to read my Bible for years😫 it’s usually hard to understand to get into it, be excited about reading it, it’s harder when he’s being silent, and I usually get bored with just that being the only way to spend time with God🥺 I’ve been wishing to have more options to do with Him. Wouldn’t we ever want to do something else with Him? Like having a face to face conversation, going on a walk with him, or I don’t know activities you would do with a friend or loved one of yours. Like if you did the same activity every time you saw that person wouldn’t we get tired of doing it and it would become boring? Before reading the Bible I wasn’t into reading at all, mom couldn’t convince me to read anything.
Spending time with Him is more than just reading the Bible. Psalm 95:2 says "let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!" If you love music find some worship songs that will help you unlock the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. This is a great way to spend time with God that opens our hearts to receive His word better. Hope this helps ❤
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I take my bible outside with a beach chair & do Grounding (Barefoot on grass/soil/sand) for minimum 20 minutes. I end up staying like 45 minutes. I also take Ginkgo Biloba for mental focus and clarity + lots of other benefits & Ashwagandha (Ginseng) pairs great with it. They can go great with coffee too. But Grounding you HAVE to stay put barefoot outside. So it's great opportunity for prayer before the reading. God is Amazing. YAH Bless you brother!
Great Idea! The weather is getting better here in Britain. It was sunny today, so tomorrow, I’m going to take my Bible out onto the patio. Just me, the Puddy tat and The Lord.
I’ve really been struggling with this and feeling so vile and guilty. I started to feel like it was more of a “routine” thing because I would do it morning and night. So I did it any time I thought about it or when i pass by my Bible. But then I felt like I was just doing it because I have to doing and THAT made me feel bad. So then I was confused with myself. I decided to worship instead today and then I came across this video. I’m gonna keep opening that book even when it feels like I’m just reading an assigned book, God always speaks to me through it and I wanna hear his voice. Amen
Thank you so much for this. I have been struggling with this for a while now, I just never feel like reading my Bible. And when I don’t read I instantly feel like a bad Christian and that God is going to be upset at me. This video helped me learn what to do when I don’t feel like it. Thank you so much, God bless you! ❤️✝️💕
Stoked I just found you! Immediately subscribed. Exactly what I needed to hear right now. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos! Thank you for spreading the gospel. 😊
That was such a comfort, I spent so much time by trying to fix those feelings and praying that I would always feel like reading God's Word ,I guess this is the answer, thank you for the tips too..God bless you
Exactly! Spiritually we will always want to spend time with God, but our flesh draws us away. That is why we must take up our cross daily and follow him, crucifying the flesh. He gives us the grace to do what our flesh doesn't want to do by enabling us to walk in the spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Spiritually we hate all sin, but we also have flesh that wants to sin.
Ive read the whole thing once and got a badge for it 😊 I used to meditate 🧘♂️ for 5 hours stright listening to it on a bible app plan and finished it throughout the whole year to the next (Them Israelites need to leave baal alone 🙄😒 its like going back to an exes house) i do plan on reading it over at least 10 more times to saturate my mind with it. Its happened before and even my ma notied i talked differently being in the word it was extraordinary 😊❤
It's natural to want to focus on this life as it is and the people in it. On your job, your health, your family, friends, worries, nature, the rent. We're intimately attached to this world because on this plane, it's what's most real to us. Do believe God wants us to live a real life and get our footing, and experience his creation firsthand and not just pine for the future in another dimension. That's what I suspect anyway.
Heres a verse that i think might help you when you feel like you dont want to read your Bible: Psalm 119:36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Have a great day!
When you have too much pleasure, you start seeking these things as your source of pleasure and fulfillment. When you start hating the world, when you live in the Spirit and become poor in spirit, you actually lower yourself and make yourself able to come humbly before God and get your satisfaction and fulfillment from Him. Yet, the world and all the things in it will pass away, but the Word of God abides forever. If we seek God, we will find Him, and get our joy from Him, we will be fulfilled. We must not look how others around us live, where they find their pleasure, we must be set apart and live for Christ. We must give up Egypt, Sodom, where there was abundance, immoral pleasure, we must never look back, and keep seeking God who called us out of love. God’s love is what we will never lose, nothing shall separate us from His love. May the Lord bless you my brethren.
Also feel same with worship music. Try to make self listens for few mins here and there. Maybe it’s an exposure thing? Like more here more get used to it and comfortable?
Thank you! This is so simple yet so encouraging and refreshing to hear, will definitely apply these tips in my life! We actually just had a church convention about the importance of reading the Bible TOGETHER, especially when discipling young Christians
I need help🥺, I have cried and cried over and over again(I literally just got done bawling my eyes out and praying to God) because I say to God “forgive me of my sins” yet after I say that I commit the same sins, I know I’m not perfect but I am just wondering why I can’t do better. I recite scripture in my head and yet I still fail in the same area. I am struggling with a pornography addiction😞. Yes I am ashamed and embarrassed to say that but I know I can’t battle this alone. Please if anyone can, will you pray for me?
Hey, when you get tempting thoughts in your mind flee from it. Try to shut down those thoughts as fast as possible. Learning discipline in keeping a clean mind has helped me. Also cut of any possible sources of temptation, like movies with scenes, pictures, games, get a chrome extension that hides the youtube sidebar and then only use youtube for helpful religious videos or studies. This point took me a lot of time because I kept easing my set-limits when I started to feel overconfident, but overtime I have learned and made it habit to know and stay away from my possible sources of temptation. The key is to flee those thoughts instead of trying to fight it/endure it. Just like Jesus said even lusting over another woman is already like adultery in the heart, the same way if we keep lustful thoughts in our mind we will already lose. Do as Joseph did with the woman that tempted him, run away and train your mind. Don’t let a thought linger for even seconds, shut it down as fast as possible. I hope this helps you. I also had a long battle against porn but finally started winning after mastering this.
I used to see it as a victory if I had lustful thoughts but endured it and did not watch pornography. But that tires you out quickly and eventually you fall. Instead, you should see it as a victory when you immediately close those lustful thoughts. Instead of seeing the point of watching pornography as the failure, start seeing having the lustful thoughts as the point of failure to avoid. Because there is where it starts, and where the main battle is. The thoughts are just as bad as the porn. Stay strong and cut off those lustful thoughts from the enemy as fast as you can.
What you said reminded me of how Jesus goes to pray to His father the night before He is sacrificed and asks Him if there is any other way. Even He didn't want to go through that, but He did it anyways because it was the will of His Father and because He loved us. We need to imitate Him.
A lot of times we're harder on ourselves more than God is. A lot of times the enemy is speaking to us trying to influence how we see God and how He sees us. Just stick to what the Word says about us. He desires mercy over sacrifice. His grace is enough, He did not come to condemn us. He is concerned with your heart and being led by His Spirit much more than serving Him or routines. Think of Mary and Martha when Martha was so overwhelmed with much serving and things going on but Mary was just at her Savior's feet. Perhaps, the next time you feel like you don't want to read the Word, consider being like Mary and just bask in His presence with some worship music on or in silence. Let Him speak to you, lead you and peace be still. Shalom to you all and God bless you all and the love of Christ compel you in J E S U S mighty name. AMEN!! 🙂♥️🙏🏻
I haven’t read my Bible in a while…. Since before my mom passed away… she passed in October and I’m really struggling in my relationship with the Lord I feel like I’ve hurt him or made him or he’s mad at me or something idk and I feel depressed too but I want to read the Bible but it feels impossible everything does right now it feels like nothing will change…
Here's my Bible study times! 8:00 am 12:00pm 4:00 pm 8:00 pm. Here is how I decide on which book to read. I recommend praying before doing this. Go to random number generator and put 66 as the maximum and 1 as the minimum. Then, I just try and have faith that GOD will give me the book I need to read. (Sometimes, I also do this for the chapters, but rather than only reading that one chapter, I read the whole book and focus on that 1 chapter more keenly.) After this I pray every time I finish reading. So in 1 day, I read for like 10+ minutes! If you struggle with scrolling, what I do is I put 'not interested' on all videos that are not related to God. Then, I fill my recommended with Bible videos. Refrain from evening looking at youtube shorts lol. Have a blessed life, stranger!
Although I have been slacking lately on my bible reading, I developed a bible reading plan (I don't know if the Holy Spirit developed it, and/or helped me, if that is the case, give all glory to God!) The "Meal Plan" Breakfast -as soon as you wake up, read something light (Epistles, Psalms, proverbs, etc) Lunch - something more filling (prophetic books, Isaiah, Job, Revelation, etc) Dinner - Big meal (books of Moses, Kings, Chronicles, Gospels, etc) Me personally, I want to switch Lunch and dinner, I feel like reading Story books in the afternoon and reading prophetic/poetic books in the night, But everyone's different, let God guide you to His will. God bless.
This really hits me since i feel this way after ik i felt like what my action is doing. So now i discipline myself on putting myself to shape n listen to the bible app i hv to keep me focus. Cuz ik reading isn't my fav but listening things is
You made the decision to follow Jesus, its a decision based on crucifiction not on feeling. You either feel or not,you must read the bible because youre desire is to know Jesus as much as you can and be like him more and more.Thats the beauty of Christianity. You do something that you might not feel it,but if that pleasured God,then you have to do it.
I want to read and I do everyday Only thing is I am so busy and I’ll be like after doing productive things for the entire day go lay down in bed for 5 minutes just bc I’m so tired. I end up falling asleep and not reading my Bible or doing homework. My sleep schedule is awful too an average of 6-7 hours.
Question!!! Background The Lord has blessed me i love him continue to pray. I was reading and it was changing my views like Christmas trees, holiday orgins. Then i started hearing everyone I liked were false prophets and that how many times the bible has been changed… it makes me scared to read. idk what to do.

Thank you so much for sharing! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I have felt this lately. But I know God loves me and longs to speak to me.
I’m gonna try sometimes reading when I’m not comfortable. If I can read when I’m not comfortable when I am it’ll be so much easier.
Like when I first wake up or when I’m tired
Amen!
A practice is to leave your bible open where you always see it.❤❤
Amen Amen Amen 😊 😊.
Reading Scripture takes discipline. Hard to do in our crazy world, but it IS life changing.
Make a regular time each day and preferably the ssme spot each day. A favorite chair perhaps
Always be aware Satan will fight you tooth and nail to derail you.
Eventually this daily time with God changes yorlur way of thinking.
It works!!!
you every way he can by distractions . Excuses galore will enter your mind...the battleground of.
This has been a real struggle for me. Especially trying to get through all the sections about laws in the Old Testament.
Thank you brother. I was just thinking why I feel like this yesterday. Because God had me found this video without even being subscribed, I will pick up my Bible and see what he wants to tell me and what I can learn from The Lord. God bless you man🙏🏽✝
This video was an answered prayer. Praise the Lord.
Thanks for this one, definitely helped me a lot:) I want to always please God and I’m gonna really start being better and reading my Bible more:) Thanks and God Bless, brother! ❤️🙏✝️
🫡🫡 thank you!!
Bro I was legit feeling this rn, and this is the first time tht I’ve felt so guilty abt not doing my divotion😭 and I just hope God isn’t mad at me for not doing so😅😓
He’s not!
That’s great that you have others, because iron sharpens iron
I think because i overthinking too much , the problem of h
This world is so big in my head 😢
This video was for me. The timing was perfect. Thank you for this man, God bless you!
Thank you! I’m glad it helped
I wish there was something else too. I get so bored trying to struggling to read the bible
Thank you so much for this inspirational message Amen and god bless🙏❤️
amazingly well put together video!
Thank you!!
Thank you for reminding me this I was feeling really lost❤
This is SO GOOD!! ❤
God will pick us up
Thank you so much this really helped me❤ amen god loves you
Great teaching!
Thank you!
This is gold
Right👍 it happens
Thanks ❤for giving suggestions and verses from bible 📖 to understand ☺☺
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Stoked I just found you! Immediately subscribed. Exactly what I needed to hear right now. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos! Thank you for spreading the gospel. 😊
I’m at the place where I’m doing a daily chapter read and see it as a discipline and not desire. Good to know that’s ok.
Wow! So good, I needed to hear this. 😊 Thank you so much,I have those days. God bless you,I enjoyed this.🙏💯
Thank you so much!
@@Spencernakamura your very welcome! Keep up the good work. Love to hear you always.😀
That was such a comfort, I spent so much time by trying to fix those feelings and praying that I would always feel like reading God's Word ,I guess this is the answer, thank you for the tips too..God bless you
So grateful for this! This is so awesome - literally exactly what I needed to hear today!! 🙏🙌
Thank you for this. I find myself feeling the same. God bless you. I will set a schedule . I believe that will work better for me.
Feel like this everyday!!! I’m a Christian but I feel like this 24/7
It's natural to want to focus on this life as it is and the people in it.
Heres a verse that i think might help you when you feel like you dont want to read your Bible:
Psalm 119:36
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Have a great day!
The reason it's here is because in my native language the word "testimonies" gives a meaning closer to the word "law"
Very helpful
I paused reading the Bibel after the book Samuel. This is so violent. I will start again. I love my king and savior Jesus Christ.
Needed to hear this today! Been struggling with this lately. Thanks so much!
I find an audio version helps the most
I need help🥺, I have cried and cried over and over again(I literally just got done bawling my eyes out and praying to God) because I say to God “forgive me of my sins” yet after I say that I commit the same sins, I know I’m not perfect but I am just wondering why I can’t do better.
@@PareidosOlia Thank you! You don’t know how much this means to me. You are actually the first person to be his nice to me🥹 thank you!🙏
@@Zeke_rvs Pleasure ☺ I am glad I could help! I have been through the same struggle so I know what it's like
Needed this
What you said reminded me of how Jesus goes to pray to His father the night before He is sacrificed and asks Him if there is any other way. Even He didn't want to go through that, but He did it anyways because it was the will of His Father and because He loved us. We need to imitate Him.
Brother this is powerful. Thank you for the video!
I love how the video is entertaining and encouraging 😂
The Shepherds Chapel is a good channel for Bible study!✝️🕊
Thank you Spence I really needed this message 🙏🏽
Here's my Bible study times!
8:00 am
12:00pm
4:00 pm
8:00 pm.
Here is how I decide on which book to read. I recommend praying before doing this.
Go to random number generator and put 66 as the maximum and 1 as the minimum. Then, I just try and have faith that GOD will give me the book I need to read. (Sometimes, I also do this for the chapters, but rather than only reading that one chapter, I read the whole book and focus on that 1 chapter more keenly.)
After this I pray every time I finish reading.
Although I have been slacking lately on my bible reading, I developed a bible reading plan (I don't know if the Holy Spirit developed it, and/or helped me, if that is the case, give all glory to God!)
The "Meal Plan"
Breakfast -as soon as you wake up, read something light (Epistles, Psalms, proverbs, etc)
Lunch - something more filling (prophetic books, Isaiah, Job, Revelation, etc)
Dinner - Big meal (books of Moses, Kings, Chronicles, Gospels, etc)
Me personally, I want to switch Lunch and dinner, I feel like reading Story books in the afternoon and reading prophetic/poetic books in the night,
But everyone's different, let God guide you to His will.
God bless.
I don’t even open my Bible. I feel so numb. I listen to sermons because I’m so exhausted.
Thank you so much keep preaching my boy I'm grateful I was moved to watch
You look like younger brother of David digahernadez , great content, can you recommend any study guide.
This really hits me since i feel this way after ik i felt like what my action is doing.
So now i discipline myself on putting myself to shape n listen to the bible app i hv to keep me focus.
Cuz ik reading isn't my fav but listening things is
This video is so good!
Thanks so much!
My thoughts exactly
I struggle with this alot
You made the decision to follow Jesus, its a decision based on crucifiction not on feeling. You either feel or not,you must read the bible because youre desire is to know Jesus as much as you can and be like him more and more.Thats the beauty of Christianity. You do something that you might not feel it,but if that pleasured God,then you have to do it.
Thank you
TY for this.
Of course!
I want to read and I do everyday
Only thing is I am so busy and I’ll be like after doing productive things for the entire day go lay down in bed for 5 minutes just bc I’m so tired. I end up falling asleep and not reading my Bible or doing homework. My sleep schedule is awful too an average of 6-7 hours.
Thanks so much for the great video ❤
Thank you for this video
Of course 🙏🏼
Thank you Bro…
I had the same problems.
I never feel like doing anything.
And still don’t really understand from lack of experience about how reading the Bible is sending time with God. It’s reading right now
Jesus ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Question!!! Background The Lord has blessed me i love him continue to pray. I was reading and it was changing my views like Christmas trees, holiday orgins. Then i started hearing everyone I liked were false prophets and that how many times the bible has been changed… it makes me scared to read. idk what to do.
"Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee"
