For 5 years I was the only company on google with more than 2 reviews. I got a ridiculous amount of business. A competitor came in and got 200 5 star reviews in just a few months and I could tell a huge difference in the calls that came in. They really decreased. Over the last couple months I have raised my review count to 65 from I think 29. Reviews are so huge. Very important.

Thanks Johnathan. Great video. I came out the door killin it with my reviews. I just topped 50 reviews in my first year. Planning to reach 100 by the end of this year. My competitors left so much space on the table for reviews. The majority around my area have ten or less. I'm going to post a video of how i got my reviews soon.

Yes, I've just found it's too difficult to get non-buyers to try to become buyers. You'll get a better return if you're speaking to the people who are already buyers of this service.

I saw the teaser for this video last night and started salivating. Truly EPIC, and quite possibly your best yet for marketing. If anyone else is reading this comment, do yourself a favor and implement this game plan( or something that closely resembles it). If you don’t have a website, there are affordable options like godaddy. It’s all about density folks, don’t waste your precious time. Best wishes to all in 2020.

Most of our customers have never had lawn care service before they had us. And though we service their lawn now, we have never actually talked to them on the phone or in person (the signup is mostly done very quickly through texting). The one's that I have talked to on the phone seem to be nervous in making the commitment to a lawn guy even though they are the ones that figured it out on their own for that to be the solution for their lawn. The ones that I have talked to I can feel the tension lower as I make them feel very comfortable with their decision. I felt years ago that we should have a video on our website to help them with this. I could make them feel comfortable with their decision even before they call us or so they don't have to call us - just sign up!!!
BUT, the video never happened.....yet! I really need to get this done asap!!! The mowing season will be here before we know it!

Matt, I would encourage you to do a video for your website ASAP. It has a dramatic impact on 1. Making sales easier to close by getting people comfortable with you 2. Increasing your websites SEO rankings because people stay on your website longer 3. Clients know what to expect from your company and put a face with the business. I've had clients tell me they had already made up their mind after watching the video that they were going to use us. It has a dramatic impact. Go for it!

absolutely loved this video. tons of info. I wish I could afford to have a website made. how much is it? Brian did a podcast referring a guy who can do it for around 1500-2k i think. I made a business page on facebook and have been doing this tip on every post putting the town! I am going to setup Google my business this winter before the spring rush. I should have done it last summer! I havent been able to afford to do marketing other than going around town and passing out hundreds of business cards. I also plan on printing a page flier and sticking it where I am allowed to around town like restaurant bullet boards and things. I've struggled with understanding marketing and having enough to invest in marketing my first year. Great video though thanks!

Florida Turf Pros so I understand the no contract but I would omit the winter time part you could definitely work in winter as I do here in Louisiana we put rye on almost all our yards and cut it every ten days even with 0 contracts on any properties just a verbal agreement that we are to maintain the properties year round every week in Sumer as needed in winter

Do you know what to put in the backend on the html or text part of website so it won't show a list of random videos once mine is done? Johnathan, how large do you want your business to get in the end? Sort of curious since your marketing plan could differ depending on the size you would like to end up with. For example, a larger company may focus more on branding than a smaller company would. Just curious and don’t think you have mentioned it before in a video. Thanks!

Hello my name is Anthony Silence and as far as tagging photos you put lawn care then put your city and state for each photo too as far as tags?
I type my business name in Google and the city I live in and I come right up #2. On yelp I come up #4, and yellow book pages #7. I know nothing about advertising on the internet. I usually just put a ad in the paper in the spring. It does ok. What do u recommend I do next? Love the videos. Thanks brian

When I do fiverounds or pass out door hangers I typically punch holes in the card and put a rubber band through the hole and attach to the door. What method do you use and have you tried my method? My method works well but it does take a lot of time to punch them and rubber band them, then they also dont stack very well. I am looking for other ideas. Thanks
I use the rubber band method for homes that have glass front doors... but most the time if you have a stiff postcard you can just slide it half way through the door crack
Are you a member of your local chamber of commerce? Also do you know if that is a good avenue to market/meet potential clients?

Show us how to set up Google business listing so we can get the reviews "thats the gold" is it free? I get 5 calls a day for someone else to set it up. Is it a scam or did you use them???
