Solid trout! How’s the water temp right now? Still lower 60’s? When ripping that plastic, still bouncing of the bottom or pulling right above the bottom?

Thanks brotha! Water temp was in upper 60s last front but now in lower to mid 70s. If the bottom permits, I like to bounce off the bottom. Plastic jerkbaits are great for this! If I have rock, oyster or grass I’ll try to keep it just above.l to keep from gettting snagged.

Also, if you can rig weedless and you still get away with bouncing off bottom structure. Will get you way more bites than just swimming the lure.

I usually throw an 1/8 when in 1 1/2 to 3’ of water to keep it close to the ground. Unless I have a hard moving current, I’ll go heavier. I don’t like throwing heavier, because I feel that you lose the action of the lure.

Spot on!! I’ll go little heavier if I’m fishing a little deeper or if wind kicks up!

How are you rigging up your spoon?

Man funny you ask, I WAS tying direct with loop knot but just literally had to cut my line now due to major line twist I found. Probably tie now with main line to swivel then with about 18” of leader to spoon.
