@@SeamworkVideowith your cut patterns in the basket, I went to staples and got round white cylinders for mine, I copied the front of the pattern on a shipping label and stuck it on the cylinder so I knew which pattern it was
Wow, this looks so lovely and tranquil! I love that you've created the ideal space for your creativity to flourish. It's absolutely beautiful and so inspirational!
You are very lucky and have a lovely sewing space. My little sewing space is about quarter of the size I have a 8 x 6ft Keter shed gifted from a neighbour who also put electricity in for me. Principals the same as yours but sewing table and chair up cycled and I have a armchair tv and radio it is my little sanctuary I wish you lots of happiness in your space
I have white vertical blinds in my studio which can be angled to stop glaring sunlight plus they diffuse the light and outside I have rigged up some heavy duty greenhouse shading mesh like a curtain to help provide shade in summer as it can get like an oven, plus it helps to keep direct light off fabric which could fade otherwise as I have a lot of vintage and darker coloured fabrics. I also attached some fine insect mesh at window openings to keep little bugs out which might like to move in and chew things!
This is wonderful Sarai. My new sewing space is still far from being done. It is the old single car garage at our new property. Because we are a two car family it really isn't very useful so we're turning it into my sewing studio. I'm currently using the living space in the converted shed where my adult daughter and son live barely 300metres from the main house. The down side of this is that I cannot properly set things up the way I'd like because it is just temporary and it gets very hot in the summer because it is currently without air conditioning or adequate ways to cool the area down in our very hot Australian summers. I bring my sewing machine to the local craft group to sew several times a week during the summer so that I can still get some sewing done and I have also been sewing at the dining table in our little tiny house that is air-conditioned. I'm looking forward now though to finishing my designated space because you have given me so many ideas of how I could dress it. I would dearly like to be in for sure before the year is out.
Ok I went from never knowing about you, clicking on your shed video, reading about Seamwork, to signing up as a member all in about 20 minutes 😂 you are exactly what I’ve been looking for , can’t wait to get started 🤍
Just found your channel when this tour popped up in my feed. I am hoping you can help me find an easy pattern rebuild the top of a sundress that used to be a tieback top and I want to convert the top to a tank top instead. I really just need a tank top pattern for the top. Do you have a video for something like that?
We don't have a tutorial for that, but I would recommend starting by finding a tank top pattern you like (there are so many out there!) Is your dress in a knit or a woven?
Beautiful sewing studio in the woods 😍 Would you share a link to the cork tiles, please? I went back to your first studio vlog, but couldn't find it. Thank you!
There's an electric heater installed, but no cooling. It's basically a built in space heater, but because the space is small it works pretty well. It's well insulated and under trees, so it stays pretty cool in summer.
I love it so much!!!❤
Just missing one item.... the coffee/tea station.😘
Great idea! 🫖

Beautiful sewing space and I love how you've repurposed materials and furniture. Happy sewing ❤

Really cool! Dedicated sewing spaces are a little piece of heaven 😊
Yes they are!
I would love to see this space in a year after using, expanding, and refining.
This is a great idea and something we definitely want to show a year from now!
I love your sewing, so organized. Thanks for sharing 😊

That's just beautiful! Very inspirational. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much!
What are the dimensions of of your Tuff Shed? I’m intrigued with studio expansion without having to move.
It is 12' x 18'. 😊
I am planning to build a crafting shed… yours is very inspiring!
You won't regret it! :-)
Where did you source your cork tiles. I love that idea for keeping plans front and central
The tiles are from AmCork: www.amcork.com/collections/cork-wall-tiles
What do you have your vintage patterns in? Thank you!
There are in wooden storage boxes. You can find something similar at Ikea.
I absolutely love your working table....its so large and i love the multiple shelves
Thank you so much!

Beautiful ❤️
Who is the cutting table from? Where did you buy it?
I believe it is a Koala table. I inherited it with my house.
I'm so excited for you!!!! Me next me next!!!😊
Beautiful job really neat. What a great idea
I really enjoy viewing your work. Thanks so much. Patsy from n.f.l.d

It's a koala table that was in my house when I moved in!

Good for you I'm jealous!!
All those threads and fabrics out on the shelves will be dusty in no time…
Luckily I'm not afraid of a little dust! 😉

A super special calm creative space
What is the name of your sewing table/ desk?
I inherited the desk with the house, but I believe it is made by Koala.
Congratulations ❤❤
This is all so inspiring, Sarai! Do you have a link available to explore the Koala cabinet options? I’m in search of a great cutting table.

Beautiful space
It’s nice. Enjoy
You are so organized
That's beautiful. What kind of internet do you have living in the woods?
Thank you! Our internet connection is quite strong, thankfully!
I am wondering what internet company you have? if that's okay. We live in a rural area and need better internet.
Beautiful place for sewing
Thank you so much
Where is the toilet? In nature?
In the house, which is only a few yards away from the shed…..
So awesome! How do you heat it?
There's an electric heater installed, but no cooling. It's basically a built in space heater, but because the space is small it works pretty well. It's well insulated and under trees, so it stays pretty cool in summer.
Very nice❤
Thank you! Cheers!
How big is your studio?
I watched Part 1 ….has the answer to all your questions….
12' x 18'
Well, the thread organizer is useful, at least.
Indeed it is!
