Dear Dr Ravikanth, unfortunately we see many people going through Google to read about their reports and assess as per their understanding. They even question / suggest the doctor. Its a great problem for both. A qualified Doctor is the one to assess/diognise the issue. This is a bad habit of an ameture patient. It's also an immeturity in such people. Still, we have all sorts of people around us in Society. I'm 67, a retired teacher & having a longing to see you personally (not as a patient ... by God's grace i have no health issues). Sir so kind of you and your videos' are very interesting and informative, which saves many people from un necessary anxiety. I have been suffering from Gastric problems since year 2000 with main problem of tightness under the left rib at the junction. I was diagnosed with Non ulcer functional dyspepsia. Visited many gastroenterologists but the tightness never got cured. All the types of PPIs prescribed. My recent endoscope report shows mild antral gastritis and Mild Distal esophagitis. Any advise please. I am not in India at the moment but when I come to India I want to visit. Sorry to say, of the Gastroenterologists I visited most of them they are not spending some time to listen to the patient as the see the number patients per day. Two years back, I had sever gastric problem due to Helicobacter bug which was found in stool test so Doctor (GP in UK) prescribed anti-biotics as you rightly mentioned (Clarithromycin & amoxicillin) for about 2 weeks. You've explained very well Sir. Two years back, I had sever gastric problem due to Helicobacter bug which was found in stool test so Doctor (GP in UK) prescribed anti-biotics as you rightly mentioned (Clarithromycin & amoxicillin) for about 2 weeks. After that, I have't had any gastric issues till today.
Would advise to redo urea breath test or endoscopy to confirm eradication, stool test not gold standard.
