The Emirate Abu Dhabi was founded on an island, surrounded by a mangrove belt. In the meantime and many skyscrapers and artificially created islands later, the town has become one of the world's most modern metropolises. To ensure that the inhabitants of the sea are not in danger of losing their environment due to this turbo growth, Nathalie Staelens has been brought in.
The Belgian environment engineer has the task of relocating hawksbill turtles to Saadiyat Island. In doing so, she often requires the services of the lifeguards. She knows that every call means a safe turtle!
Mohammed Hamid arrives at the Al Ain oasis shortly before sunrise in his mini transporter. A dozen dromedaries crowd around the loading area. Mohammed wants to sell them at the largest camel market in the entire Emirates.
Every day, around 1000 animals change hands here and buyers and sellers haggle prices until the sun goes down again. Even more sought after are the animals that Abdullah Alnher has on offer between the camel boxes: falcons. For the Emiratis, these animals are the number one status symbol - more so than cars, yachts and jewellery.
Iv been here as a tourist for 5 days. I am enthralled by the wealth and grandeur of this land. Amazingly wealthy Dubai and Abu Dhabi ☑️☑️☑️
Though I am Roman Catholic, I visited the majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque... It is a beautiful place of worship to Allah.
Emirates will always be blessed because they respect their Ramadan very seriously. I respect them for this. 🙏🙏🙏🌹

I lived there for 10 years and almost died of boredom!! Had to move back to some culture in London. Fun for a holiday, but would not recommend for an expat. There is also a huge problem of news censorship, covering up horrendous human rights violations.There are essentially two types of expats - white westerners who are treated with respect and then Pakistani, Indian and Filipino workers who are treated 2nd class citizens.

I've watched this video several times and each time I see more interesting things.... I've heard of Abu Dhabi but never fully realized how beautiful it is. One of the world's most modern metropolises........that's not quite adequate enough to describe this place. It's amazing!

This place is an architect's dream but an environmentalist nightmare. Altering the country's natural landscape to that extent I hope Allah saves them God forbid a natural disaster strikes. All that sand and blue water isn't as luxurious as the sight of lush green trees.
Environmentalists nightmare? I dont think an environmentalist would like to see lush green trees in a desert environment (except the mangroves that have been heavily protected by the UAE government). After-all, a desert isn't supposed to be green.....
We went to Abu Dhabi for the opening of the Louvre in 2017 and we also visited the Sheikh Zayed mosque - really amazing!!

is so very beautiful! Such pretty colors and me being an Artist, I have to tell you that ceiling and the circle ceiling window in this video -they are breathtaking. When I was in college, my friend took me to a Catholic church and it was so pretty inside that church. The colors and the trims and angels and of course their statue of mother mary - everything looked so nice. After that day, I have admired the beauty of ceiling art. My Grandma's Methodist church in the state of Ohio is painted beautifully in white, gold and turquoise walls and trim with angels and cherubs and other pretty designs, but your Mosque is the prettiest inside artistry I've ever seen!
Enjoyed all of that! The fishermen, the Camel sellers, the Falcon guys and the conservationists. Seems like a nice place to visit.

embe1 I grew up in Abu Dhabi and last summer I went to the mosque. It truly is amazing AND it is the second largest mosque in the world. I wish I could go back there every year.

embe1 anybody could visit that mosque even if the person is a non Muslim only during visiting hours / non prayer hours. The founder of UAE , Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s tomb is also located within the premises of the mosque and the whole atmosphere is absolutely heavenly there. As if you have been transported back in time a thousand years in the past. Amazing how a city so technologically advanced could also preserve its heritage so well.
I would suggest you visit Abu Dhabi in the winter time because it is EXTREMELY hot and may be unbearable in the summer. Good luck.

I remember when they built all those sky scrapers and palaces ! They didn't think about sewage, couldn't dump it in the ocean so they had caravans taking it all as far to the desert as possible .I suppose they have it better now !

I just want to the Gulfs and India's huge relation is the Magnificient TAJ MAHAL. The Moughals actually contributed a lot in shaping India's modern history. The great emperor Jallauddin Akbar and Shah Jahan are most recongnized emperors who ruled India. The slaves you say in Gulf is nothing just a tradition between them and us. The real beauty between them and us is growing together and empowering everyone. And this is the reason India have a huge trade with Saudi Arabia.

anwion this video is very one-sided, trying to make it look bad. It's literally a dream to be there, in a regular apt. It's beautiful. The money aspect.. just like a Los Angeles/New York. Apts are expensive.. but in Dubai, they're worth the $. Cops are local celebrities, it's safe, clean asf. You won't see any of these people who struggle (anything that is an eyesore is confined to small obscure areas). Sure it sucks but we buy everything in the USA from Chinese sweatshops without even realizing it. So how are we any different.

CarsAndProfits, any good quality school has field trips to consolidate the learning that takes place in the classroom. Saadiyat Public Beach (where the turtle rescue program happens) is only a few blocks away from Cranleigh, which makes it the perfect place to take students on Environmentally friendly field trips. I’m not quite sure what helping out with conservation efforts has to do with money...please elaborate on the connection between the two.

They live away from their families in labor camps for years and get appalling wages.
Overall the working conditions for all 3 world country employees is despicable. Every house has a maid and every supermarket is run by slaves.
I know so because I have lived there as a kid. Yes we had a maid and I was even driven around by a chauffeur. Today, older and wiser, I find it disgusting. Everyone should in my world be treated equal with honor and respect.

Laborer or slave...you stated both and they are not the same thing. If they were slaves, thats wrong. If they were laborers and agreed to a wage then that is what they agreed on. A maid and a chauffer are fine jobs and of course they should be treated with honor and respect.
I know slave and labor are not the same. I use it as a synonym to show a point.
There are some workers who are abused over there. I´ve seen maids also function as sex workers for arab older men. To me that´s being a fucking slave.

After visiting Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi by our brand new rental car all of their districts in the year 1999, it was impossible to adapt to Middle East, Balkans, Southeastern European Region and I had quited my job in Turkey and immediately had gone to San Diego California. UAE has the best glamorous sites, always under very bright lights during nights, best of the best services and infrastructure, motorways at all times even during the year 1999. Russians and Slavik girls, women were serving to sell products at most Dubai shops. Congratulations to UAE success and irresistability, nowhere compares Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Emirates hostesses were all very georgous young British women. I don't understand why Dubai Princess have got bored and left herself to Goa Island in India always in alone stance. During the year 1999, I used to work at international bidding council and representative in Bilkent Holding's construction section and we have got the Abu Dhabi International Airport Bid in 1999. Other international bids that Bİlkent Holding had won during my tenure was Atrau Kazakhstan Mass Apartment Development, Skopje Macedonia Mass Apartment Complexes , Diyarbakir Infrastructure Bid, USA Embassy in Ankara Turkey Renovation Bid, Tblisi Georgia International Airport Bids. Those were won in 1,5 year time in the years 1999-2000. Isbank General Management Skyscrapers were also built by Bilkent Holding Inc. Nowadays, my prof. dr. radiologist cousin has been working in Abu Dhabi hospital with his family nearby in UAE.
