If I were the owner, I would be a comeback. These So FL guys are always cool to deal with, like this dude. *EDITED** (I bet he's from Florida haha) Now, sorry, but I gotta say it.. As an owner of a 2.0L FSI and a VW fanatic... Welds = 1/10 Guys, nothing needs said... But im'a say it anyway... At the least, you could have painted them for the video. Removing the resonator (The big one in the middle not the back box) -5/10 The drone in this car at cruises (on the interstate) you won't be able to hold a conversation at normal volume -- AT ALL... Using a Flowmaster on a VW = 10/10 I love your outside the box thinking and it clearly makes a difference on the db levels... Resonators don't really affect db levels. They are often a passthrough (so no muffling happens) and on any turbocharged VW, it will be always be a passthrough resonator. It's there to make life manageable on the interstate. Your db meter is picking up the resonance from under the car, which causes more overall "noise", but it's not exhaust note. If I were in this guys area I would 100% drop by your shop just based on your enthusiasm alone. I'm positive the comments have changed how you weld these up.
It sounds good in person. I did not want a super loud exhaust. My car is just the way I like it. Since this video I have added a APR CAI and a vented diverter valve spacer.
The vented spacer will cause a CEL and high LTFT. The VW engines require the air you're dumping to the outside. It's metered air. Someone else said it would be loud, and I thought so too. How was the sound on the hiway?
You can hear a little once the muffler and resonator was removed but don't expect much after that. This car has two cats and then the turbocharger. This is the best you are going to get. It is a luxury car anyway.
@Midnight MechanicHow many times are you going to do that before you realize it doesn't do anything to me. Since you do know my address and I never hid it on my RUclips videos why don't you come over with your car, if you have one, and let's talk about this. What's wrong? Scared kid? 😆😆😆🌈👬
thats a nice car! i like those the styling abd the drive! but i dont like working in german cars! as for the tone it wont get much louder with that huge cat and the turbo takes a large part of the noise away! i think its just right the way it drove off. .i like it!
Oh hell No! That's still way too quiet. Sounds no different than a stock 2012 Nissan 240sx, and that's a damn shame 🤨Owner should have just run an open manifold which is hands down the best setup and provides the perfect amount of back pressure and reduced road and tire noise on these VW CC R-Line 2.0L's.
Not bad for a 4 but I thought the flowmaster outlaw would be much louder. Did not hear the car with straight pipe but im guessing there's some resonator or secondary cat still there.
oh hell no ryans moms manifold sounds louder then this after taco Tuesday

An aftermarket downpipe would fix that
A downpipe and a vibrant ultraquiet resonator sounds amazing on these cars.

@Midnight Mechanic And the troll with no car of his own replies. 🌈👬

@Midnight Mechanic Thanks for the views and breaking the 1900 subscriber mark. 😆😆😆
That made not much diference with the sound at all it still sounds stock if you ask me
The catalytic converters on the German turbo cars eat the whole exhaust note.
It literally had no sound stock.
Sounds really good.
Damn 🔥
Is this car petrol or diesel?
And does it drone?

Atleast its not in ur face loud like ricer civics. Much prefer this sound over ricers.

I had it all removed except for the cat.
How do you make it louder
Turbo cars never ever ever need mufflers and especially cats if you want performance and sound the turbo is the muffler
For the love of “Gawd.”
Why?!?!
What a quack!
Just throw away the whole car lmaooo
my vacuum cleaner is louder than this
My 4.0 stock it’s louder then that nd my Chevy Cruze
