Beautiful soft light. So many healthy, fit people. Volleyball without hands-as you say: incredible skill. Interesting as you examine the various surfboards and comment on them... a little more explanation of what various surf boards are designed to do, would be cool. Pleasant & bucolic scene!
Wow! Another great video. It looks like such a clean nice beach town. I’ll share this with some friends. Hope you get out and surf and maybe get a video. Safe travels.
I flew into Hanoi after riding around Taiwan in 12/2019. Bought a used 125 honda, then spent 3 months, all winter, slowly ziggy riding to Cat Ba-Dong Van-Sapa- Nah Trang-Phong Na- Laos-Cambodia-phu Quoc, and sold it in Vung Tao. I liked Nah Trang, but BYOG, (Bring your own girl) to Vietnam, Gringos.
I thought I will move to Honolulu bc the weather and surfing spot at Waikiki but i changed my mind. Danang is on my list and can’t wait for a retirement which will be very soon. I love my country. Hello to you from Silicon Valley thanks for a video. See you someday in DN ?
Spent about a month in Da Nang over the summer with my wife and daughter. I would live here permanently if Vietnam was more visa friendly… But the fact that it isn’t visa friendly is probably why it’s still so amazing haha.
I remember crossing the Hai Van Pass looking down at that beach. As we dropped down on the deck we noticed the morning crowd at the beach. No, it wasn't for their morning swim. They were lined up at the water's edge taking their morning dump. That was many decades ago but ...
I wouldn’t call myself an expat, but the secret is out. Da Nang is wonderful and a lot of people are interested. It’s a large city. Good for them. The people of Da Nang can handle it. Hopefully 🤞
@ hey thx for your reply. I saw a vid about DaNang beach areas/subdivisions; I think there were about ten or so, each w a distinct flair. Do u remember the name of yours? Or perhaps the name of the apartment building u stayed at; sounds like a great place to stay. My wife and I are going to be in VN for three months and any to do a month in DaNang. Thx for any help u send our way. Looks a fabulous stretch of beach u were on, and lots of active people. 👍
@@BuffertheTourist ok, thanks a lot. I’ll check out some places to stay there, but if u can get me the name of that apartment building I would start there. Ps as a former junior high vb coach, I can’t believe those soccer/volleyball players. That was something else ; should make that clip into a motivational training vid !
Can i please ask. . . . . are mosquito's a problem in Da Nang? Online literature says they are but ive see many youtube videos and theyve never been mentioned. . . .
In Vietnam, it is only possible to have a long term visa if you are a business man otherwise it's difficult to live there because the different visas delivered in Thailand for example do not exist.Of course it's a nice country.
Your English writing skills aren't the best obviously, and maybe I'm missing your point, but staying in Vietnam long-term isn't a problem at all. It's simply a matter of either doing a border-run every 3 months or getting a business visa; a bit inconvenient for sure, but living in Vietnam is well worth it. Cheers
My sense of timing is terrible i was in da Nang 5 days after this the weather was completely different beaches all had no swimming signs up waves pounding the shore and rained every day. Enjoyed the food and coffee it was far different to the south of Vietnam had just left Phu Quoc was 32 and hot every day.
I agree ! That same morning beach scene repeats itself in the late afternoon until after the sun is down . In the middle of the day is when the locals leave the beach for the skin scorching westerners . If it wasn't for the 90 Day limit I'd probably set up base right there .
Vietnamese government has no plan to introduce retirement visas like Thailand. Unlike Thailand, VN has very high real estates prices due to smaller nation with bigger population. Also due to past economic crisis, Vietnamese really like to invest in real estate. Adding retirement visas and people will come due to that visa will increase real estate prices even more, so they won't do it.
@@phamductri Vietnam is for the Vietnamese . Tourism friendly but not tourism reliant . They don't need the low caliber miscreants and mongers that Thailand attracts . Unfortunately that screens out some good folks that would love to live there BUT I understand and admire their approach .
Live here, 100 meters from the beach, 3 story, fully furnished house, with large top terrace overlooking the beach and the breaking waves. Local price if 9,5 million per month.
Arrived here a week ago and the first 4 days were sunny and great. It’s been raining ever since and will continue for the next month. I’m prepared for it but others should know what to expect. You won’t see the sun again until January.
The Da Nang deal breaker for me is the fact you're restricted to small swimming zones where you can barely go past waist deep water. You're stuck in the breakers and the areas are over crowded with people in season while 90% of the beach is restricted from swimming. I'm an adult and don't need to be kept in the kiddie pool.
You can go outside, it is your own risk. I used to swim 1-1.5km from the zone, no one cares. But you need to understand that is your own risk. The zones are for ladies and children.
Not true, and if that's a 'deal-breaker' for you, you should never leave the comfy basement in your mom's house; it takes a 'real' man to have a 'real' life lived on 'your terms', that's something most people will never understand, they instead come up with all kinds of excuses never to venture out into the world. 'Deal Breaker'...are you really that easily controlled...??? what a sissy comment to make...:):):) Those rules are merely guide-lines for women with children since most of them don't know how to swim, any adult can swim anywhere but it's obviously at their own risk.
I did the online EVisa. It’s good for 90 days. After that, as I understand, you have to leave the country and reapply. An overnight trip to Cambodia will do the trick.
You must have a Part 2 for this vlog. I didn’t see the Protests, Gangs Looting Businesses, Burning Cars, Deranged Shooters, Muggings, Murders, Kidnappings, Homeless Encampments
Hahaha! The next video I went looking for trouble on a scooter. Spent the day riding around the city looking for a bad neighborhood. Couldn’t find one 🤷♂️

BYOG is great! Vietnam doesn’t have all that nonsense that some other spots in SEA do. Not knocking it, just not the type of place I’d want to live.

Absolutely. That's my spot too
I miss old da nang when there were no buildings along the beach, only wild flowers and green grass. I'm shocked to see how much it's developed now.
Sounds incredible. It’s hard to keep such an amazing place a secret. They do seem to be handling the growth well. So there’s that.

I agree. Best place to live in Asia. For me the 90 visa wouldn't be an issue since I travel so much. I'll be making the move this year.

It was about the Southern 3rd of the beach
