I will probably never buy a subscription box but I am LOVING these videos. It's like I'm living vicariously through you ☺
A little tip for hotel chocolat hot chocolate without the velvetiser: get a little hand held milk frother from Tiger (it costs about £5, and looks like a tiny electric whisk). When you make the chocolate, put your milk and chocolate in a pot on the stove on low heat, and keep mixing it with the frother until it’s ready. The frother helps the chocolate melt so it’s not bitty, makes it really smooth and creates a delicious thick foam on top, and it is a fraction of the price of the velvetiser!
The Liberty box should arrive mid January. You pay £20 a month and that adds up in your Liberty account. You can spend this in anything and get free postage and you don't have to spend it all at once. Then you get 4 boxes a year basically free, with stuff to try. I love it.

Scrawlrbox is a pretty good art sub box, it varies a lot every month but you always get enough stuff in the box to create a cohesive art piece without using a bunch of other art supplies too
Something that I like about Love Cocoa is that the guy who runs the company is the great great great grandson of the original Cadbury. After Cadburys we’re taken over by Kraft (and changed) he decided to go back into the family business - chocolate.

I have the liberty one and it comes every 2 months and then the £20 gets added to a pot each month. It’s very useful for trying products and the voucher can be spent on anything in store/online

i worked at hotel choc a while back, we would tell people who wanted hot choc without a velvetiser to mix it into a pan of milk and heat it on the hob! the hot chocolate we sold in the cafe wasn't made with the velvetiser, but in a steel jug with milk using the steam nozzle on the coffee machine - but microwaving it will probs make it very gritty so give it a try on the hob if you're wanting to try this out!
The bread one sounds like it would be really nice to get. They looked perfectly good to me, it reminds me of imperfect foods boxes!

The Liberty London one will come mid January. You pay £20 a month and then the £20 goes in to your beauty bank you can save up the vouchers or spend as you get them. I am saving mine for the beauty advent calendar at Christmas. Then you get a free box of goodies every 3 months. Mid Jan, mid April, mid July and mid October xx

For the hotel chocolat hot chocolate sachets you can make them in a pan! You just need to heat a bit of milk, add the chocolate and more milk and whisk constantly. That’s how I made mine without a velvetiser and they were great :)

Please try the Blurt Foundation's BuddyBox! They do monthly boxes for mental health or a pick-me-up, and they were so nice to receive during dark days! Usually a self-care bit, a candle or bath product, a craft, and a sweet little zine.

I used to have a subscriptiom for kiwico for toys and book for my son. They also have adult subscription crates, like the maker crate that is all about arts and crafts for ages 14-100. They are a great company, if you really want to try an artsy subscription. Their crates make awesome gifts for all ages
i know of a few art subscription boxes, but the one that came straight to my head was one called scrawlr box! they are a very cool brand and i would definitely consider checking them out!

If you want a chocolate box try The Chocolate Smiths! They're a small business from Newcastle, they have a monthly box and every month is a different theme (the chocolate flavours are exclusive to the box too :) )

A great subscription box is Dog and Hat who do a coffee subscription box! I know you're not overly keen on coffee but if you know someone who loves speciality coffee, then it's such a great box to gift!!

Artful is worth looking at for an art box subscription. They are quarterly and you can buy earlier boxes without a subscription. More expensive but great value and comprehensive information and support. Good luck!

You HAVE TO TRY the Harry and David fruit subscription! They mail seasonal fruit to you that is insanely high quality. My parents get it and I always steal it from them. + the perfect gift to anyone!!
Most I would probably buy once, not as an ongoing subscription, with exception of the bakery box. How could you go wrong with bread or other baked goods? Scent by Mail would be lovely to get at the change of seasons.
I Have the velvetiser... it makes it lovely and frothy but isn't hot enough for me... they state it makes Hot choccy at optimum temperature but I find it too cold, I offset this my heating the mug i'm using up with hot water whilst the velevitiser does its job lol. I've had little frother whisks in the past and they do as good a job tbh! and you can control the temperature of your milk, should you like them extra hot like me!
I used to do snack crate subscrption which is good for adventurous eaters which I am not haha but dud try some new things from all over the world. It was a US subscription though so was about a month behind due to shipping across seas

I used to get the Papergang box for a few months like 2 years ago? It was really cool because each month a different artist designs it and there were some really nice things in there. And if I didn't like the design I'd just gift it to someone who would 😊

Lakeland £60 milk frother is a perfect dupe for the velvetiser and does more than the velvetiser for nearly half the price ☺️

the velvatiser is amazing (although Aldi did have a pretty good knock off version) as for a arty one i think Crafters companion do them (ie they send you a new crafty thing to do. but i am not sure its not on the website but it might be instore)
