A little tip for hotel chocolat hot chocolate without the velvetiser: get a little hand held milk frother from Tiger (it costs about £5, and looks like a tiny electric whisk). When you make the chocolate, put your milk and chocolate in a pot on the stove on low heat, and keep mixing it with the frother until it’s ready. The frother helps the chocolate melt so it’s not bitty, makes it really smooth and creates a delicious thick foam on top, and it is a fraction of the price of the velvetiser!
The Liberty box should arrive mid January. You pay £20 a month and that adds up in your Liberty account. You can spend this in anything and get free postage and you don't have to spend it all at once. Then you get 4 boxes a year basically free, with stuff to try. I love it.
It's great to see you back, Grace! We were getting a little worried about you and your family. I hope you're all doing well and had a lovely Christmas!
Something that I like about Love Cocoa is that the guy who runs the company is the great great great grandson of the original Cadbury. After Cadburys we’re taken over by Kraft (and changed) he decided to go back into the family business - chocolate.
So lovely to see you Grace and we missed you. But, family and friends and looking after things at your end must come first. We appreciate all you give to both channels, but want whats best for you, always. Happy New Year.
Scrawlrbox is a pretty good art sub box, it varies a lot every month but you always get enough stuff in the box to create a cohesive art piece without using a bunch of other art supplies too
I was addicted to subscription boxes a few years ago thanks to RUclips videos! I really love the ones with treats from around the world! I finally discontinued all of them but now I want to start one again.
i worked at hotel choc a while back, we would tell people who wanted hot choc without a velvetiser to mix it into a pan of milk and heat it on the hob! the hot chocolate we sold in the cafe wasn't made with the velvetiser, but in a steel jug with milk using the steam nozzle on the coffee machine - but microwaving it will probs make it very gritty so give it a try on the hob if you're wanting to try this out!
The Liberty London one will come mid January. You pay £20 a month and then the £20 goes in to your beauty bank you can save up the vouchers or spend as you get them. I am saving mine for the beauty advent calendar at Christmas. Then you get a free box of goodies every 3 months. Mid Jan, mid April, mid July and mid October xx
Definitely looking in to the Earth and Wheat one ❤️ you're my comfort watching at the moment and in January in particular it's very appreciated. Thanks for being a joy 😊
Grace, I heard you say recently that Mama Booth accidentally killed your sourdough starter. I actually preserved some of mine in powder form at the beginning of December and would happily part with a bag for your sake. It’s all organic and works wonderfully. I make a loaf almost daily with it. I know you can buy starter online but I have some if you want it. Let me know. 😊
I have the liberty one and it comes every 2 months and then the £20 gets added to a pot each month. It’s very useful for trying products and the voucher can be spent on anything in store/online
If you want a chocolate box try The Chocolate Smiths! They're a small business from Newcastle, they have a monthly box and every month is a different theme (the chocolate flavours are exclusive to the box too :) )
I used to have a subscriptiom for kiwico for toys and book for my son. They also have adult subscription crates, like the maker crate that is all about arts and crafts for ages 14-100. They are a great company, if you really want to try an artsy subscription. Their crates make awesome gifts for all ages
Thank you for the Earth and Wheat review. I'd heard great things about them before but seeing this vid just confirmed that I needed a monthly subscription from them in my life!
A great subscription box is Dog and Hat who do a coffee subscription box! I know you're not overly keen on coffee but if you know someone who loves speciality coffee, then it's such a great box to gift!!
Love all your videos! Also, video idea: I’ve recently been climbing and bouldering and it’s so much fun (it’s like a puzzle to see where you need to place your feet and hands to reach the top), maybe you could try it out. Similar to your last series of trying different activities!
For the hotel chocolat hot chocolate sachets you can make them in a pan! You just need to heat a bit of milk, add the chocolate and more milk and whisk constantly. That’s how I made mine without a velvetiser and they were great :)
Please try the Blurt Foundation's BuddyBox! They do monthly boxes for mental health or a pick-me-up, and they were so nice to receive during dark days! Usually a self-care bit, a candle or bath product, a craft, and a sweet little zine.
Ahhh I'm so glad you did Earth & Wheat and to see so much love for it in the comments!! Absolutely one of my fave companies, we just can nevermake use of the bread! They are releasing new ones over time though! I always try them 🤣🤣
Artful is worth looking at for an art box subscription. They are quarterly and you can buy earlier boxes without a subscription. More expensive but great value and comprehensive information and support. Good luck!
I live in Buxton and work right across from Wild Olive!! They are so cute and so much smelly stuff! I have gone there for so many of my friends and would 10/10 recommend!!
I am fascinated by subscription boxes. I get the Color Street one now. This year I searched for interesting Advent calendars. I found the jam one that you got & decided to get it this year. We enjoyed it! Hope you & your family have been well. Missed your videos!! 💜💜
Congratulations on your engagement. The last subscription box you showed with the wine was the most intriguing to me. I would love to see a video where you do the blind tasting with your family. That sounds like great fun. ❤
I feel so upset about the stationary one. The things you got were cute, but like you said they could have done so much more with it! The deli one was definitely the best. They understood the assignment!
I used to get the Papergang box for a few months like 2 years ago? It was really cool because each month a different artist designs it and there were some really nice things in there. And if I didn't like the design I'd just gift it to someone who would 😊
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these videos, I’m always looking at subscription boxes! I’ve had a couple of the papergang boxes and it was INCREDIBLE, so so much better than the one you received which is so sad!
i know of a few art subscription boxes, but the one that came straight to my head was one called scrawlr box! they are a very cool brand and i would definitely consider checking them out!
Liberty box you have to sign up for a 3-month period at least (so £60) the £20 goes into a voucher which you can spend on their website. Every 3 months they sent out a box as well, the next one is due in January. So if you subbed in December, you will get January's box :). If you don't like it remember to cancel before the next 3 month cycle begins.
You can make travel vlogs, like you made of Cornwall, if I am not wrong. Show Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scottish Highlands, Wales, Northern Ireland, English Countryside and Historic English Castles. Like Jack Whitehall did in the last season of TRAVELS WITH MY FATHER. Now that you're engaged, you can travel with Mr X or your friends, even your mum and papa.
You HAVE TO TRY the Harry and David fruit subscription! They mail seasonal fruit to you that is insanely high quality. My parents get it and I always steal it from them. + the perfect gift to anyone!!
I used to have the papergang subscription and sometimes the stuff were amazing and really beautiful and sometimes it just looked like leftover stuff they couldn’t sell.
I Have the velvetiser... it makes it lovely and frothy but isn't hot enough for me... they state it makes Hot choccy at optimum temperature but I find it too cold, I offset this my heating the mug i'm using up with hot water whilst the velevitiser does its job lol. I've had little frother whisks in the past and they do as good a job tbh! and you can control the temperature of your milk, should you like them extra hot like me!
Great. Now I want some chocolate and daughter the younger ate the last of what we had when she visited today. I have to learn to watch these things earlier in the day..l
I used to do snack crate subscrption which is good for adventurous eaters which I am not haha but dud try some new things from all over the world. It was a US subscription though so was about a month behind due to shipping across seas
Please, don't microwave your milk and water The best to have your powdered hot drinks is by heating milk first on the stove, and the pour a 2 tbsp and stir it in the powder and make sure all lumps are removed, then pour in the rest of your hot milk
Most I would probably buy once, not as an ongoing subscription, with exception of the bakery box. How could you go wrong with bread or other baked goods? Scent by Mail would be lovely to get at the change of seasons.
Woohoo!! A Grace upload is exactly what I need to get through a Monday!! 🤩🎉🎉🎉Sending so much love and big hugs from Hollywood! And thanks for trying the boxes for us 😊👍👍 xoxo 🥰❤💕💕💕💕
I will probably never buy a subscription box but I am LOVING these videos. It's like I'm living vicariously through you ☺

"it's a crumpet, innit?" i love british people

Thanks for the info I will subscribe to Liberty.
It's great to see you back, Grace! We were getting a little worried about you and your family. I hope you're all doing well and had a lovely Christmas!
The wonky baked goods is a brilliant idea! You hear a lot about wonky veg but not so much bakery stuff
Something that I like about Love Cocoa is that the guy who runs the company is the great great great grandson of the original Cadbury. After Cadburys we’re taken over by Kraft (and changed) he decided to go back into the family business - chocolate.
He was on dragons den
So lovely to see you Grace and we missed you. But, family and friends and looking after things at your end must come first. We appreciate all you give to both channels, but want whats best for you, always. Happy New Year.

Yay! Nice to see you again! Hope you had a nice Christmas? I really wanted to see the Booth Christmas but am just pleased you’re here again 😘

I love mine, you get free postage with it too.
Sooo happy you’re back! And sending you all the love in the world. Treat yourself well lovely 💜
That wonky baked goods one looks so good wtf I’d eat all of those things
I get them and they’re so good. The crumpets are the best!
Yes! That's the only one I'd subscribe to without hesitation.
Definitely looking in to the Earth and Wheat one ❤️ you're my comfort watching at the moment and in January in particular it's very appreciated. Thanks for being a joy 😊
Happy to see you back!! Praying you and the family are doing well!😊❤
Grace, I heard you say recently that Mama Booth accidentally killed your sourdough starter.

It’s all organic and works wonderfully. I make a loaf almost daily with it. I know you can buy starter online but I have some if you want it. Let me know. 😊
The chocolate smiths for sure!! A little pricey but you get exclusive chocolate each month and exclusive content!
I have the liberty one and it comes every 2 months and then the £20 gets added to a pot each month. It’s very useful for trying products and the voucher can be spent on anything in store/online
If you want a chocolate box try The Chocolate Smiths! They're a small business from Newcastle, they have a monthly box and every month is a different theme (the chocolate flavours are exclusive to the box too :) )
I second this! I just ended it due to money reasons but they are all phenomenal x
I second this!!
Perfect video to watch with my latte in my Central Perk Friends mug- reminded me of you!
regarding the hot chocolate, I find making on the stove top instead of the microwave works best when real chocolate bits are involved
I used to have a subscriptiom for kiwico for toys and book for my son. They also have adult subscription crates, like the maker crate that is all about arts and crafts for ages 14-100. Thank you for the Earth and Wheat review. I'd heard great things about them before but seeing this vid just confirmed that I needed a monthly subscription from them in my life!
I've been loving the positive teacher company subscription box...
Would love to see what the teachers in your family think.
A great subscription box is Dog and Hat who do a coffee subscription box! I know you're not overly keen on coffee but if you know someone who loves speciality coffee, then it's such a great box to gift!!

First video of the year! Looking forward to another year of bangin content 🎉
For the hotel chocolat hot chocolate sachets you can make them in a pan! You just need to heat a bit of milk, add the chocolate and more milk and whisk constantly. That’s how I made mine without a velvetiser and they were great :)
The Calligraphy Box is a really lovely creative subscription! Each box has a lesson and exercises to help you learn different calligraphy styles ❤️
for the art subscription box i recommend scrawlr box! u get really good quality items and prompts as well as sweets
I find the velvetiser hot chocolates are really good when doing them on the stove, not tried the microwave!
Such a nice surprise to see you back. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas holiday🎄❤️🎄
Please try the Blurt Foundation's BuddyBox! They do monthly boxes for mental health or a pick-me-up, and they were so nice to receive during dark days! Usually a self-care bit, a candle or bath product, a craft, and a sweet little zine.
Yes. Buddybox is so nice!

So great to see a new video! I hope you and the fam are well. Sending hugs!
yes!!!! happy to see you back❤❤❤ hope you are well!
Lakeland £60 milk frother is a perfect dupe for the velvetiser and does more than the velvetiser for nearly half the price ☺️
Sooo happy you are back! Hope you are ok 😘
The bread one sounds like it would be really nice to get. They looked perfectly good to me, it reminds me of imperfect foods boxes!
I’ve missed your content so much! So glad your back ❤
So lovely to see you're back! Hope you are doing well 🌟
I feel so upset about the stationary one. The things you got were cute, but like you said they could have done so much more with it! The deli one was definitely the best. They understood the assignment!

I really love the subscription box GlobeIn. They have handmade items from small businesses around the world. Very unique!
Try stripe and stare for pants - they are so comfy and eco friendly!!
Missed you lovely girl !! Hope you had a beaut festive period ❤xx
Who else has been binge watching all the old Grackle and Extra Grack content while Grace has been away?!? 😍

That stationery box in particular seems aimed at bullet journaling with the grid notebook and chunky pencil.
Yeah for sure

Love the video! And your gorgeous green jumper!
Great. Now I want some chocolate and daughter the younger ate the last of what we had when she visited today. I have to learn to watch these things earlier in the day..l
I agree that Yankee Candle is too potent. I cannot go in the store and even walking by it, the smell coming from the store is too strong.
You need to try The Chocolate Cafe subscription box😍 they do the best chocolate!
I used to do snack crate subscrption which is good for adventurous eaters which I am not haha but dud try some new things from all over the world. It was a US subscription though so was about a month behind due to shipping across seas
Where is your hoodie blanket from Grace? I love the print and that the arms are cuffed
Good to see you back Grace. I would love the wonky bread box but it would be terrible for my weight1
If you make another one of these videos you should do a price comparison to see if it’s cheaper to buy individually or as part of the subscription!
Loved this video! Would love to see some Veganuary taste test videos please :)
Please, don't microwave your milk and water
