  • Day 8- Great Divide Trail Section E- Skyline Trail
We hiked from Trapper Creek campsite into Maligne Lake, grabbing a coffee and watching a moose swim! We then started up the Skyline Trail and did a little detour up a peak from Little Shovel Pass. We camped at the Snowbowl campground.
Day 9- We hiked from the Snowbowl campground to the Tekerra campground, on the Skyline Trail. Unfortunately, the day went from cloudy with sprinkles to torrential rain and snow with strong winds. My batteries died in the cold and we were running, so I didn't capture any video of this section. While it wins as "most miserable hiking day ever" for both of us, we have to be grateful that we avoided hypothermia.
Day 10, we hiked 25km to Jasper separately. I hiked out at 4am to the highway and hitchhiked to Saskatchewan River Crossing to grab the car. The drive on the Icefields Parkway was amazing! Giddy hiked to Jasper and tried replacing her broken pack (frame broke on day 2), but with no success. We met at the hostel, restocked our food, and ate a massive supper!

Gorgeous! We've never seen a moose swimming in person, what a great view to have your coffee :) When we were out camping on crown land back in August 2020, we saw 3 moose cross the trail up ahead of us! Loved the heel click haha. Thanks for the detailed description, that's really unfortunate about the weather. You both have a contagious smile and thank you as always for sharing your journey! Stay safe out there.

Sorry Day 9 didn't turn out the way you had hoped, but I have hope it will turn around in the days to come! Love seeing the moose in the water, that was neat. Still enjoyed the footage and the smile. Thank you.

I've been so lucky with weather in all my trips so it was definitely time I got a day like this, glad we had a campsite and shelter to warm up at the end of day 9.

We had the same luck as y'all on our Skyline hike last year. But short enough hike for y'all to go back and do over a weekend.

Are these video short cause of no charging options so to carry more food and less battery chargers. It's been over a year since the move and you need to know the different types of salmon by taste as your probably only had the tasteless Atlantic Salmon in Ontario . This is the PNW and you will learn of the many we have on both sides of the border.

Ya these last few videos are shorter because it was a 9 day resupply and the batteries were almost dead, I've had lots of Salmon out here and it's tastier than any out east.
