    Thanks again, Dan. You’re part of my nightly routine. I watch your video for the day - and sometimes more if there’s something you mention that I feel will help me learn to feel safer. Then it’s time for reading a book (instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media or RUclips) and
    then off to sleep.
    I’m heading in the right direction thanks to your constant guidance and reassurance. God bless you. 🙏🏼

    So good, Dan! I imagine a safety blanket of sorts figuratively covering all the different things (traumas, emotions, etc.). Doesn't really matter what the things are -- what *does* matter is that they are *now* covered in safety.

    What I notice now that I’m better mentally and emotionally is that my subconscious brain struggles with overall relaxation or safety.
    It also struggles with long activity ( meaning duration of an activity like walking, household etc).
    If I try to meditate I get really restless.. breath work idem..
    It brings on pain as well.
    I think 🤔 it will take really baby steps with learning to live in a slower rythm and pace, and learning my subconscious that that new way of living is not dangerous.
    If my system was overwhelmed with adrenaline for the past, my subconscious has taken this as my safe state and considers my new transformation as dangerous..( addiction to the stress chemistry in my body)..
    This might seem odd, but that’s what I feel happening with me right now..

      This is how I am! I wonder if my system is familiar and biology is in cortisol and adrenaline imbalance from being unwell for so long and I can flip flop into adrenalised or crash but I agree my brain is used to being in Hypervigilant State so yes I’m wondering also whether it will just take a lot longer with safety messages and proving to my brain and body but it’s okay

This takes a lot of practice if, like me, you spent years in a high paced state of mind but it is achievable. One day at a time and live each day to the best of your ability. Love this! Slowly but surely I am teaching my brain safety.
    I read a wonderful story recently. About an American traveler, who went on safari in Africa, and he had everything planned down to the minute. He and his guides stuck to the schedule for the first two days, but on the third day, he found the guides sitting under a tree talking. He got very angry and said to his translator “what are they doing? This is such a waste of time.” The translator said, “they are letting their souls catch up with their bodies”

    I know exactly what the trigger was for me. That hasn’t helped me to recover.
    What’s keeping me in pain is fear, attention, thinking I’m broken which furthers the fear, and my negative self talk. I know the changes I need to make, but I apparently need constant reminders for the lessons to sink in. This video helped so much, the repetition of the core message is getting through, my subconscious hears it. I’m bookmarking this as a daily practice, along with whatever the current message is. Thanks for shining the spotlight on the path. I just need to stop veering into the woods ☺️

    There are definitely cumulative events, thoughts and emotions that have created this condition. Conditions can be changed, but how do you overcome them? Life stressors never stop. I feel for a lot of people their jobs are a huge source of stress, but they feel they can’t leave because they have bills and responsibilities. Work is a daily stressor. I’m unhappy, but I need to work. So every day I put myself through 8 hours of sadness and frustration then somehow expect to feel better. I don’t think that’s possible. Find a new job? Never found a job that really made me happy, but I know with everything in me it’s significantly contributing to this pain. So how do you live in an unhappy situation and still heal your pain? Work and financial responsibilities are not going anywhere.

    Dan, thank you for your answer, but with your answer I have a question how do you stop to ruminate about the negative situation or event or people when this constantly comes back. Even though you make conscious decision " I am not going to think about it" it always on your mind. The more you think you are dome the more you think about it.
    Also how do you feel emotions exactly?

    • @PainFreeYou

      We cannot stop our thoughts. But even if they do come, we don't have to believe them. ruclips.net/video/A6Z6KO7b0lE/видео.html
      How to feel emotions? Without judging yourself harshly for having the emotions and try not to get lost in the story behind the emotions. Story is rumination. You already know why you are feeling the emotions....so just allow yourself to experience the sadness, fear, anger, rage, guild, shame, grief, etc.
      And if these thoughts keep coming back, give then no significance.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад

      Many people seem to like his process and there seems to be some benefits. However, I am not aware of people in the TMS/Perceived Danger Pain community claiming that was a cure. If you like it, feel free. If you find benefit feel free. However, I do believe the solution to TMS are the things I teach.

  • @Fulfill_Your_Potential
    @Fulfill_Your_Potential Год назад +2

    I've learned what TMS is, the assessments indicate that I likely have TMS, and I have decided that my pain is from TMS. Besides being aware of my emotional, physical, and mental state, is it just about steadily increasing the amount of the time that I can stand or sit (aka be out-of-bed) each day while practicing responding with indifference (I can)?
    For context, I have hip pain, and I can usually go about my day until about 8:30pm at night... then the pain becomes unbearable... but, I'm looking to steadily increase the amount of time I can stand/sit.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад +2

      Maybe it has nothing to do with it being 8:30 PM. It could be a conditioned response that the expectation is that nighttime is when you hurt the most. That expectation, fear and attention is why it hurts the later the day gets. It's driven by fear.

    How do you teach the brain that emotions are safe? And how do you teach the subconscious mind?

    • @giadalucchi509
      @giadalucchi509 Год назад +1

      Talking with yourself, with meditation or just talking. I do it everyday, I just put a hand on my chest, breathe slowly and say to myself that I'm safe, I'm okay, there is no danger, emotions are okay. I do it also with everything that bring me pain, like fatigue, noises, food. It's not easy at first, but it's like an exercise, more you'll exercise more you'll be able to calm yourself and make the pain go away. It works, repetition is the key.
