In support of your video title, my life does depend on my mindset. I will resume bodily positions and movements to support the daily care and fun I want and need to provide my daughter. There's a knowing, deep in my being, that I am on the right track. No more imagining of my disc's and nerves in my disaster daydreams. I only attend to my brain, emotions, and core inside of me that knows I am okay and will continue to get better and better. P.s. I'm a member of Dan's Group Coaching and I HIGHLY recommend. I know I'm going to get my life back. I can't press fast forward or rewind.. Slow, steady, forward march. Much love all. ❤
Dan the Mindset Man! I treat my Mindset like it is the most important thing to my recovery and that is what has helped me the most in all aspects of my life! It was the reverse in the beginning for years and years all the fixing switching to Mindset Matters Most and Safety is the Solution is how I’m improving! Thank you have a safe trip back home to Finn ❤️
I just chatted with a friend yesterday about the importance of a good positive mindset! We both had a lot to deal with in the past and although she didn’t get chronic pain from it, she’s also working on changing her beliefs about herself.. We now call it our therapeutic calls❤ Thanks for a great therapeutic video and have a safe flight ✈️ home to Finn🐈⬛! 🙏🤗🌻
Thanks Inge. Great to have those calls with your friend. Talk therapy with someone you care about can sometimes be better than paying someone to talk to them. :-)
@@PainFreeYou I don’t have many people I call friends.. I want to invest in them in good times and bad. She was my neighbor from me being 2 years old.. now fifty plus years later we have a unique friendship. Where some other people ran away from me struggling, she stayed and is inspired by my journey. Since following you, she feels I will recover. I think real friends are the best safety- message for the brain. You feel like an inspiring friend too!Thank you!😊
Great topic, Dan. Thanks for being here for us while you were at your conference and every day. Sounds like it was a productive event. Yes, interested in the breath work. Hope you have a smooth trip home.
The past couple of weeks have been very difficult- constant high sensations. My daughter suggested I try the Buteyko breathing technique and I find it helpful. I think we sometimes make the mistake of over complicating matters and forget the basic stuff - good breathing being one of them. Dan - that's why I find great support in your straightforward, commonsense approach. I know that I will get through this and look forward to a Pain free me 😊
Just shared this video with my family who are new to this idea! This explanation is pure Gold!!! Thank you for getting me out Dan! I come back to your videos because I still have your notifications on haha.
Wonderfully timed video, Dan! I had a great week mindset and symptoms wise. Im back to high sensations but I’ve noticed I handle that “fall” better these days. PROGRESS! Thank you, and safe travels.
Breathing as a practice, not as fix-it/coping stragety, that just keeps you stuck. That said, it was a useful tool together with meditation to get me to a place that I could sit up and talk again and do my research and find channels like yours!!!
I had a really bad night last night , I've managed to get it under some sort of control during the day but it's been getting worse and worse at night . I know what I'm doing wrong , I just can't stop doing it . If I can be virtually pain free all day and it only starts before bedtime, that's proof to me its TMS but I can hear the thoughts getting louder and louder ad the evening wares on xx
Have you tried meditation Tracey before bed, it's not for everyone but it really helps me and camamile tea makes me fall asleep 😴 I do the breathing too, I have an App on my phone to get an instant calm down 😉
Re read your response as if someone else had written it. "Really bad" 'Worse and worse"' Louder and louder". Those 8 words will sink deep in the PDP brain. I'm guilty of this type of negative messaging/judgement to/of myself too. Focus on the positivity, there's lots. It is TMS. Virtually pain free. Wow you're doing great. I really understand where you're coming from, and the frustration and difficulty this PDP TMS causes. We can all just keep going forward, hopeful. Hope you don't think I'm being presumptuous. Take the next hours one at a time. You can and have got through this before. Take care.
@@jue7434 yes I do a lot of meditation, I was doing that before I found Dan's pain free me channel, so I didnt know what I was dealing with . I'm not a doctor and you need to follow them re your meds and if you can wean off of them if that's what you think comes next. Sounds like they're for anxiety?? But that's me guessing. Mixed message to the brain that something needs fixing but that's just my opinion. IF it is anxiety panic Dan says to treat it the same as other TMS symptoms. Dan I hope I got that right. Wishing you calm days.
What do you recommend about fatigue? I have the feeling if I go back to: "hey fatigue, im not concerned, let's go do stuff" I'mg going to go too far again. I almost regained my life, and now I'm house-bound again and I'm concerned I take things too far too quickly whilst that would be the 'indifferent' way right? Anyway, little lost but I keep listening to your videos until my confidence is back. Thanks Dan❤

I love this… but I swear I don’t know how to “Rewire” my thoughts of “what if something else is wrong?” No matter what I do or read, I can’t get those thoughts to stop! “What if it’s xyz”. Would you just let them float by?
Yes :-) We have up to 80,000 thoughts pass through our minds like a conveyor belt. Every day. But, they are just thoughts. They aren’t facts. They are like clouds passing in the sky - you can look up, notice them, but you watch them pass along on their way. Try to practice allowing them to pass away.
Thank you Dan. With your help and assessment I am totally bought in to the mind/body concept however it is named. I believe that this constant nerve pain (rectal and sciatic nerve) has been fueled for over a decade because my brain is trying to protect me. My question is this: if I need to take pain medication, can my brain “believe” my messages of safety and my efforts to have a bigger life?
My take on medication is that if it helps, take it until you don't need to. Then work with your doctor to safely taper off the meds. Consider taking medication as an act of self kindness.
Hello Tess, your question re taking pain medication and whether doing so might interfere with the brain's response interested me. I don't like taking any pharmaceuticals and for 3 months resisted doing so, but recently I gave in as everything escalated . As Dan says, I will wean off asap, but for now view it as an act of self love. All the best Irene.
I think part of recovery is to teach our brains that what we read is also not dangerous. It got my attention too lol but then I re thought it, telling my brain, it's just words.
@@PainFreeYou Words do carry such meanings and associations, even the word "safe" doesn't do it for me. I've been thinking what word I can use for myself that feels better and so far have come up with "peaceful"
Hi Dan,. I have pppd and anxiety because of it...Could i ask 1 more question? What do you think about this: when i go on a bike ride, somtimes i feel like i cant keep up with all impressions around me. Like i go to fast for them and there is a slight delay between my (tired) brain and processing these. It gives me a feeling of fear what might happen when i feel this. I feel a bit weird or dizzy in my head, or pressure...my fear is, when i feel this i can collapse/ faint/ have Total error... that is why i am still afraid to do things ...because i think these things might happen.. (faint etc).. Now, for example, when i have shaky legs because of fear, i know i wont faint and they WILL be able to hold me and keep walking. So, i am not afraid for shaky legs. But i dont know if it is likely to faint, or collapse/ errror when feeling overwhelmed / dizzy like i descrived above😏 would you please tell me your opinion? Is this a thing that happens to people with pppd?🙏🙏🙏🙏
This type of thing can occur in someone who's brain is on high alert and perceiving danger all around. Suggestion: Try not to create more fear with thinking about this issue. The problem isn't these symptoms. It's the thinking about these sensations.
This isn't your fault and YOU didn't program your subconscious to cause the pain. The subconscious somehow decided that mornings are when it's time to turn the pain on.
