Hey Flux Family, I am humbled by the interaction I have received from this video in just 4 hours. I am immensely greatful for all of you and all of your wonderful comments. I am a tad bit overwhelmed as I am trying to respond to everyone and will do so as I can. DISCLAIMER: I recorded this a month ago, as well as one other Ren video reaction since I was already down the rabbit hole after this one. This is still my FIRST VIEWING REACTION. I, like others, have seen a bunch of different reactors react to this song and you may see me in some of the comment sections. This is to say that I can't believe, with some of the amazing reactors who have reacted to this song, that many of you are saying how much you like this. It's ironic that a song that sort of discusses imposter syndrome, also makes me realize that I have imposter syndrome. Funny how things work out huh? Lastly: There have been A LOT of requests for more songs to react to and I want to get to all of them. I created a Patreon page for those of you who would like to support the channel (This is NOT A requirement nor expected) but appreciated!). Certain member tiers get access to request songs and videos to react to. If you choose to do so, your song may be the next one I react to! Patreon: patreon.com/mcflyjp I am eternally grateful and already have some more Ren reactions and many more music reactions in the works for everyone! Thank you so much! - McFly
Looking forward to seeing your other Ren reactions. He also has some fantastic collaborations with Chinchilla and Sam Tomkins. Until recently he was wit the Big Push a band of very talented guys.
Haha, I have been telling other reactors all day that this was the healthy fusion moment! (Well, telling them on the screen anyway). The fact that it continues the intro song, but with a higher, more melodic tone of triumphant finale, a celebration of wholeness and balance. So phenomenal and moving!
"He can play the guitar", "Bro can sing", "Sounds like he can rap" ... I bet all of us who are further down this rabbit hole are having a little chuckle, like somebody said some inside joke, whenever you say these things. :D You are in for a ride my friend.
brief bio: Ren contracted Lyme disease and an autoimmune illness, was misdiagnosed as bi-polar, given psychotropic meds which "fed" his psychosis, he remains in treatment and has a "GoFundMe" account to pay his medical bills......
That was a phenomenal reaction. I've watched more reactions to this song than I can count. I didn't think I would have a favorite reaction simply because there were so many good ones, but you might be my favorite. I am very glad you decided to do this. I understand imposter syndrome, but you are not an imposter. I look forward to many more reactions with you.
Please dont ever say youre a nobdy...ive been watching Ren reactions for a while now, and Ive seen a lot of them. To me, you fit into a very select few that actually got the impact of this song. You have a very precious ear and a heart that has the ability to feel it....please dony ever discount yourself❤
I'm making this comment at the beginning of your reaction. You've just made it past the initial guitar portion right before he begins to sing notes. Your observation of his playing was so good. Lots of people think he's playing fantastic classical guitar. Which he is not, it's clumsy and punchy. The guitar itself is not well tuned or set. The plucking and some note choices are specifically out of flow and dissonant. Every bit of this was intentional as he is a very good guitarist and can play beautifully. It was an expressive choice. The fact that you caught on to this puts you at a very high calibre in my assessment. Thank you. Edit: Here I am at the end of your experience. I'm so happy that you found all that you did and were moved the way you have been. To realize this was your very first music reaction is profound. You were spectacular. I already subscribed. I cannot wait to watch all of your reactions. You won't be disappointed with Ren. We have not seen his magnum opus yet. He has so many live performances to choose from. All of his choices for compilation work are immaculate. The more I have delved in the more amazed I am. The support he has from top shelf caliber artests is fantastic. Yes! A once in a lifetime gift to humanity.
Couldn't agree more. The difficulty of not binging all of his things for the sake of the channel is a real struggle but I am holding strong. Every little detail is meticulous and thought out and that is the sign of a true artist who cares of his craft.
Great reaction and analysis. “Hi Ren" is the song that put Ren on everyone's radar since December; it went viral and has garnered more than 6 million views since its debut, but he has been creating great music for more than ten years. Ren’s music videos are generally recorded live, often in a single take, although not necessarily the first take, and from various camera angles. His release, "Sick Boi," is almost another chapter to "Hi Ren." Many of Ren’s songs resonate with people because he addresses struggles that many others face every day. Ren plays multiple instruments (acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, piano, drums), has impressive vocals, is an excellent storyteller, and is quite the philosopher and poet. He is considered by many a modern bard; he calls his music “bardcore.” Ren’s earliest recordings on RUclips are from his time in a band called “Trick The Fox,” consisting of Ren and his buddies Charlie and Tommy. Unfortunately, the band performed only briefly due to Ren’s onset of health issues. They are very talented. A fun clip to watch is “The Mash Up.” Ren’s trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy and is a prime example of his genius; it is a master’s class in storytelling and also showcases his guitar skills. The three acts are haunting, and the conclusion will catch you off guard. The trilogy needs to be watched in the order given, as this is the flow of the storyline and is best watched as a whole rather than piecemeal. Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me,” “Sexual Healing,” “One Dance/Drunk in Love”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice. His live music videos are especially impressive. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation, although it is less of a personal song than it is an indictment of greed and the resulting injustices in this world. Ren’s Hip Hop/Rap style songs are all worth checking out if you enjoy this genre; they are pretty amazing. Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (Parts 1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).” As I recently discovered, Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” that is simply beautiful. Then there are his performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the moon/No Diggity”), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”), which are all great. "The Big Push" busking sessions, concerts, and live recordings all are awesome and well worth checking out. Their covers of "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop," "Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard," “War Pigs,” "My Generation," "An Englishman in New York," “Bongo Bong,” the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," "Watch Out," “Dignity,” and so many others are equally impressive. The band performed their last official busking session and gave their last concert in September of last year due to the fact that Ren was leaving for Canada to undergo medical treatment for his multiple health issues, including surgeries. In anticipation of his stay in Canada, Ren prepared some music ahead of time to be released over the next six months that he expects to be gone. He released “Sick Boi” and “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” which is another masterful work. Ren has hinted that he might release his newest song on March 29, which is his birthday.
A lot of people have commented on the lights flashing, the common theory is that the flashies represent the chaos of the darker side as they flash when the dark side is talking, They do not flash during the first yodeling sequecne but they do during the second one. I believe that represents that the first yodeling sequence takes place before the battle and the good side is suppressing the bad. THe second yodeling sequence takes place after he realizess that he can not defeat the dark side completely and must live with it. I think the yodeling represents the creative state and the joy he feels while creating, There are vicims and students, Ren is a student and he has learned to accept both sides of himsielf and the fact his creativity is inhanced by all aspects of his personality. , If you listen to more of his work I think you will find that he is a very deep thinker and has a fantastic abiltiy to make his thoughts relatable to all of us.
Word of God, aka Sam, the cinematographer - the flashing lights represent the shadow side and if you look, you'll see that he set the shadow on the left to be darker than the shadow on the right.
You’re the first person to mention that the singing at the end was different than the singing at the end. It sounds the same, but one is worry, and the other is celebration. In fact, you made a lot of observations I’ve rarely heard. You are good at this.
MY MAN!!! Thank you!!! I have literally watched over 100 of these reactions and can I say that you are THE FIRST one to explain why the lights were flickering at the end THAT was the ONE thing I could not figure out. Because he was singing but the lights usually only flickered when he was the shadow guy…thank you…and you were also only the third person to recognize the diminished triads…soooo cool!!! Welcome to the Ren Rabbit Hole fellow traveler!!! I would suggest the next Ren song to do but if your friend gave you a list to watch in order then he obviously knows what he’s talking about because that’s EXACTLY how I suggested to people was to listen in a particular order and I think it’s just an intuitive thing so I can’t wait for the next one!!!
To be honest his list kinda differs from what people in the comments have been suggesting so I'm not sure. Haha. I don't know if Sick Boi should be next or Jenny and Screech (Full). And I am sure I missed some stuff first watch but that's what happens when there are good songs/performances.
First reaction ever and it's something profound as this? This is really one of the best reactions out there. Was taken aback by rather than plugging your Patreon, you asked for donations for another. You deserve every success that's coming at you. Truly. Now it's on us to help you catch an algorithm. Cheers all!
@@mcflyjp I whole heartedly concur. Everyone's been learning what they can about him, obviously. Out of many reactions watched however, you're the only one who's mentioned kicking cash to him. He watches and responds to a lot of reactors. I hope he learns of your nobility on his behalf, especially as you're just starting out and garnering momentum of your own. That's absolutely badass Brother. You've made the world a brighter place! Stoked for whatever you post up next! Cheers to you and yours.
14:19 - Flickering lights at the end indicating that both halves are present. I've seen literally hundreds of reactions to this song. You're the first reactor I've seen who noticed this and made mention of it.
This was fantastic, AND a very important thing that you added to the larger conversation is that everything Ren is doing is deliberate and with intention. Someone described his playing as sloppy when he was the dark side, but I would say it's more chaotic and done for effect. Did you happen to notice how he did not go back to the Dm before the spoken word part? I thought that leaving it unresolved was an incredible move. I hope you'll explore his whole catalog. No two songs are alike. No joke, this cat is special. Like Shakespeare, Dickens, and Super Mario kind of special. He's a once in a generation, maybe once in a lifetime talent. Please check out Jenny, Screech, and Violet's tales. They need to be watched in that order. Ren shows us that he's a modern day bard. In-fuggin-credible! cheers!
That's one of the things I wished I mentioned. The chefs kiss was leaving the song unresolved from a musical stand point because, like I said, this battle doesn't end.
Charlie Daniels did something similar with the Devil Went Down to Georgia. Said the devil's fiddle part was all fire and fury and no real technique. Some folks will argue the devil sounded better but that section was really a chance for the whole band to show off and that's what sounded great. Isolate the devil's fiddle part and it's worse than nails on a chalkboard. Anyway, I love it when musicians are committed enough to make something sound worse because it's the right choice for the song.
Not sure if it was purposeful or by accident, but the dhadows on either side of him being cast simultaneously because of the lights, feels representative of his two voices and maybe even an extension to the bit about the brighter the light shined, the darker the shadow it cast. The symbolism is this, with the use of religious references is like a triple entendre within a picture rather than a word scheme. That inner dialog, the battle between the conscious mind and the ego is present in all of us. This is the first time in my 46 years, that I have seen someone able to explain this so vividly and beautifully. It is absolutely a work of art and regardless of the particulars of our interpretations, I feel as though none of them are wrong and that may have been intentional because of the multitude of layers involved. We needed something like this. I've gotten tired of the sames recycled genres. This piece hit me in my core and even though it was a bit jarring, I am here for it! Thanks for the authentic reaction. It's getting hard to find them on this app. ❤
Everything about this video is planned and maticulus. I couldn't imagine even beginning to think of all these details when trying to create this video. Top Tier genius artist.
A thing that I haven't seen people mention is the lighting. I mean everyone talks about the background lights but the most important part to the dramatism to this video is the spotlights casting shade on his face when the dark side talks, and lighting the light side. Also something really powerful that I haven't seen also being noticed is the change the in his sight. During the first 2/3 of the performance he is facing the characters and in the last third he is talking directly to the camera and the audience (or maybe the dark part in ourselves?). These 2 things have a very powerful impact in the delivery and this director is fantastic. The whole thing is brilliant.
You have to realize, especially for reactors, that this is all in one viewing and it's their first viewing. Especially with songs like this or videos like this, they are not going to catch everything. I do agree that every little detail of this video is a masterpiece.
@@mcflyjp Oh for sure man! I didn't mean it as a jab to your video or other reactors, mostly just trying to reveal those details so that another layer could be seen by other viewers, and of course highlight even more how genious all the work in the piece is. It also looks like it was shot in one take, but I'm not 100% on that, because of the close-up shots.
Yes, Ren puts his ego aside and does whatever gets the message across. He isn't trying to make himself look like an accomplished musician. He is sharing his naked soul as much as possible which takes guts and proves he is an accomplished, amazing musician. Just wait until he is healthy!!!!! Your appreciation of Ren was awesome to see!!!
Dude that was a great reaction! Thank you for your thoughts and welcome to the club! If you want a more deep dive into Ren's masterpieces - please react to "The Tale Of Jenny & Screech (full version)". I hope you'll enjoy this
@McFly JP I'm glad that you enjoyed this sad but great tale! Saw all of your reactions to Ren's music - and you are well done a good job with react and analysis, I'm appreciate this a lot!
It's people like Ren that makes me wonder what the hell I am doing with my life. The more you listen to his catalog you'll understand there isn't anyone else like him. Hi Ren is the Bohemian Rhapsody of our generation.
Been seeing it compared to this often. Considering I wasn't alive when BR came out I can't confirm if it's equal with impact. But this does feel like his artistry is equivalent to the importance of a Bowie when he came on the scene.
Comparing this to Bohemian Rhapsody of our times is an interesting match ... I do concur that "Hi Ren" is a master piece, its art, its out of this world, and for sure something to remember for many many years to come ... Love it!
Wow, I hope @RenMakesMusic sees your reaction. I agree that he is a “once in a lifetime” talent. A modern Mozart. He is so talented. This is absolute genius.
What a brilliant and inciteful reaction, one of the best to this song that I've seen, and I've probably seen over a hundred by now... I've caught a bad case of Renitis
Haha. Probably the best thing I've seen for the Ren Mania happening. Thank you so much for your kind words. Never thought my first Music reaction would get this much love!
Ren is a 21st century poet on the level of Bob Dylan. I can relate to the voices in my head though not on this level. This is a masterpiece. Every individual can relate to this song on some level. Check dylans Murder most foul. Its is deep.
My friend, I just found you while watching numerous “Hi Ren” reactions. Your reaction was stellar… thoughtful, informed, and informative. No gushing, no gimmicks. Great job. Please keep up the good work of doing music reactions. Thank you!
Okay so for what it's worth.. This is the third reaction of Ren I watch from you. And I watch quite a lot of reaction videos, but they're all about the same dozen of artists, because I really admire and appreciate those talents and I love to see new random people's inputs on said artists. For that reason, I usually don't really subscribe to any reaction channel, but I did subscribe to yours on the first video I watched (Jenny & Screech). One of the reason was because early on, one line caught my attention by saying : my musical expertise ends at production but I like to think I can comment on etc etc. And I was surprised to hear that.. because it's self-awareness and humility. And the more the reaction went on, I saw the music theory knowledge here and there but I liked the way you interpreted the video, so I subscribed, because I'd probably enjoy discovering new artists through your input. And three reactions in, this reinforces my first impression. I just learned you're a graduate in music, and this video has a bit more breakdowns than others, and I really like that. I don't know if the "popular pool" of reaction watchers are seeking that, but it's a cool addition that doesn't hurt if it's implemented quickly here and there 👌 I've played guitar for ten years or so, and many people doing musical breakdowns are sometimes a bit overconfident and act as if they know it all. But the best artists always show humility because they're aware of the higher ceiling and how they can improve. And you show similar qualities in your reactions, which I appreciate. So you asked why people should watch your content over others? I think you have a spot out there in the reaction world and if you keep at it, I'm sure it should quickly pick up organically! Cheers man
I've never wanted a comment to keep going more than this one! This is really humbling. I have my degree in Music and I have played guitar since I was 13 (basically 20 years now!) But stopped playing it for about 3 to 4 years in that span and it really made me humble about my chops. I also know that when I watch reactors, the ones I enjoy watching the most are the ones who don't act like they are the best thing out there. They have humility, empathy, sympathy and actually care about what their doing for the art of it not the clicks. Outside of my Ren reactions, the channel is doing....ok. but they are growing slowly due to the Ren reactions so I'm hoping that maybe people are enjoying my content enough to stick around. Thank you for your kind words. I really do appreciate it!
@@mcflyjp Yeah I haven't been playing much last two years either. Covid messed up my motivation oddly. But I started picking it up more lately so that's good! And for your channel, yeah I'm sure it's a grind, but you'll notice that some artists have pretty big communities of people watching reaction videos, and you'll spot which artists by looking at starting reactors who have videos popping off early! Those are good to tackle for high views early. People love first time reaction to an artist a lot. Anything either unique, out of the box, or overy positive get lots of love on the reaction scene. Omegle musical content creators as well. And as far as I know, beating the iron while it's hot helps.. so being ready for new releases and dropping a video early seems to help a lot of folks, but you know.. your mileage may vary. But I don't have a channel and talk out of my hat haha, just from what I've seen from the spectator side. Anyways, I'll stay tuned 🤙
I’m a year late, but I’m stuck on this song and I keep watching people react to it for the first time. I’ll be in my bedroom, with it playing on my TV and I’ll get a text from my wife, “Again?” I just answer back, “Yup.” Lol Great video and great reaction. I’m subbing for more. 👍🏻
Seen this described as the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' of it's generation which should be blasphemy for us oldies - but I can't knock it. Queen made an operatic/rock masterpiece that blew us all away at the time & is still a legendary song. This has so much more depth and lets us look into his soul as he deals with his demons. Yes, a real piece of art across multiple disciplines. The video, the acting, the music, the bars & finally the subject matter itself - wow. There's no line or lyric or musical expression in here that I haven't heard before somewhere or some-when, but the total package is SO much more than the sum of it's parts - true synergy. Every time you get comfortable with a beat or flow, he breaks the rhythm and your left edgy waiting for the next switch up and that final monologue has everybody staring in rapture even after he's finished - you're expecting more. Props to your buddy for chucking you in the deep end on your first outing!!
I think in terms of originality and just the range of emotions in one song yes, but Ren is Ren and I don't think anything has been done quite like this.
Someone seeing HI REN as their first Ren video: "It sounds like he can rap..." People who have already gone down the Ren rabbit hole: "Hehe, yes. Oh yes, he can. You are in for a treat..." Good reaction, good luck with your channel!
Don't gotta worry about copyright with ren. He has it set up as a thank you to reactors for spreading his music. If the vid is pulled dispute it and straight away it'll be good. Welcome to the rabbit hole. This guy is a genius. Truly
He made a post. All you have to do is click dispute and it'll be fixed for you, his way of saying thanks to you guys. It's amazing really, he's growing reaction channels, they're spreading his music then to their base, we are the industry. Ren can lead the way 💪 also if ya want suggestions, he covers pretty much every vibe and genre, you pick the genre I'll let you know the song 😂😎 some very socially conscious ones aswell. Let's just keep spreading ren, truly a generational talent, and one whose music can help
And again, really loved your reaction, there's a lot, you got it in every way. Message emotion but also the technicalities and musical nuances, I've prob watched min 30 reactions and you're maybe the only one who gets it all. I wouldn't have just learned from so many reactions and perspectives. But you nailed it brother. Can't wait till you hear him rap rap tho
Ren being your first music reaction is something. The guy bends and weaves through genres and styles. Enjoy the ride cause it's an emotional rollercoaster. Chalk outlines and how to be me live War pigs, I shot the sheriff live Losing it, pertinence, what you want, insomnia, money game, fire, Enjoy the ride man and I'll be there to watch.
My first time seeing your reactions and I’m subbing! You really got it! Here’s some info and songs 🖤 Welcome to the Renaissance! Ren is my favourite artist of all time. I say artist because he is a multifaceted diamond! From singing (all styles) to rapping (bars/flows/schemes for days), Bardcore (story telling) beatbox, makes his own beats, scatting and a multi instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums, melodica and more). On top of that he is the most beautiful human being inside and out who has been through and continues to go through absolute hell. He’s 33 from Anglesey, Wales originally but spent most his life in Brighton, England. He’s been living in Calgary, Canada all year receiving intense medical treatment for his brain damage and mast cell activation disorder amongst other things. He started off making beats at 12 and selling CDs then moved on to busking. He was part of a band called Trick The Fox and was signed to Sony but they didn’t renew the contract after his health deteriorated. He then started The Big Push. They went on hiatus the end of last year after 5 years partly due to his move to Canada and also because the other members are also soloists and were moving around too. I have a list of songs to check out of all styles. Obviously this is no where near everything but gives you places to start. 🖤 Ren song list Here’s a list to get you going (I know you’ve seen a few) 🖤 Rap type The hunger Illest of our time Power Losing it Genesis (also the acoustic one) Sick boi Animal flow (also the acoustic) What you want (beastie boys homage) Murderer Masochist Bardcore The tale of Jenny and screech (full) Hi Ren MoneyGame part 1 MoneyGame part 2 Singing ones Chalk outlines (live) How to be me (live) Humble Ocean Fire Funny 1990s (watch the video one) Love music Love music part 2 Love music part 3 Love music part 4 Down on the beat Dear God Depression Insomnia Ren&Sam Tompkins- what went wrong 1&2 Loads of busking ones with his band The Big Push, ones with Sam Tompkins and Chinchilla. Found you on my rabbit hole journey of watching all the reactors watch ren lol. Love your view points and especially as you actually know music and obviously understand the message he was getting across. Great first music reaction, keep it up!
Dude! I have watched ALL of these reactions to Hi Ren…I was not ready for YOU! Props to you and your friend who was enthusiastic about your decision to do this. Great work! Great artist! Both of you. Enjoy the rabbit hole. I have.
My path here today went from Ren immersion to the Dotta diss and back again. I'm so happy I circled back with so much learning, loving, and appreciation in tow. I've come to respect certain things among the reactors I've experienced, almost all of which you do or give. To name a few-preparation, on-screen texted asides, generous screen-share for the artist's video, no over-talking the lyrics (but stopping as appropriate to work them out verbally), and staying open and alert to ALL the facets of a performance: background, lighting, action, camera-work and more. Not being trained in music, I appreciate when you share both technical things (like chord progressions) and general things (like vocal range and breath control). You and Ren are like that "fresh air" you mentioned, because I wondered how and where poetry was evolving in arenas I didn't have access to or barely knew existed. I'm exuberantly astonished... bless you and thank-you! (And what I hope is a gift is something I picked up from only one reactor: that the back of Ren's guitar is open; has a hole in the back through which his hospital gown shows through.)
@@mcflyjp I must have watched HI REN 40+ times in the last two months, picking up tidbits from one reactor after another. Just now I noticed something that other people probably knew long ago... that when Ren talks about the light-dark-pendulum dance, he drifts side to side as he walks toward the camera... and the camera sways along with him... panning back and forth against the background... partnering, like us, in the dance.
Love Ren! I'm a 72 year old that was stuck in 60s and 70s rock and old country, but because of reactors, I've been introduced to so many different styles (and no specific styles) of music. Wow! May I suggest Home Free (anything of theirs, because i dont think they have anything bad out there - a capella group), Yebba - Evergreen and the live version of Boomerang, Nightwish - Ghost Love Score, a symphonic metal band from Finland (their live show at Wacken in 2013). Thank you!
Thanks. This one kind of struck a nerve that was open for me. Had huge self doubt. No channel growth. Nothing going. Then I put this out and the rest is history.
I have to say that I am addicted to not only watching this video it also watching the countless reactions to it. This song get me every time I watch it and I am glad it seems to do the same to Almost everyone else who watches it as well. Wonderful honest and genuine reaction you gave to this song. Looking forward to seeing more reactions of Rens amazing works.
I absolutely loved this reaction. When I heard that this was going to be your first music reaction. I thought was, oh boy what way to start. The man is one of the most multi-talented artist that I have ever seen. His music is all over the place. Style wise. He raps, sings or a combination of the two. He is a MASTER story teller. His trilogy Jenny and Screech's tale full, is a prime example. He calls his genre Bardcore. After seeing the trilogy you will realize the full meaning behind the word. This video in particular though, is definitely a masterpiece. But, the most astounding thing is what is happening out here because of it. We all have inner struggles and demons that we have to go through. Whether it's doubt, self esteem, addiction or mental health issues. That makes this relatable to people in all walks of life. People have been reaching out saying that they have felt alone in their struggle before seeing this. To find an amazing amount of people saying that exact same thing. Proving the point, a falsehood the way no words can. I think that with this one song, he has proven his own words true. He IS a genius and the waves that he is creating are tsunami in scale. His music may just be more important than he could ever imagine. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment for the damage that the untreated Lyme disease has done to his body, including his brain. He posts on Instagram about his progress through the medical process. This is a very real young man who is willing to share his mind, music and life with us his ever increasing fan base. As you said, once in a lifetime. Sorry for the long comment. I could go on for days. So, I welcome you into the rabbit hole. Some call it the Reniverse. It will be a fun ride. I can't wait to see your next step. Btw, I think you were at 110 subs when I saw this. I make it 111. Take care and be safe until I see you again.
Thanks. I'm immensely grateful for your kind comments and I can confirm that I agree with pretty much everything you said. He has been through a lot and its sad that a talent and what seems to be a good-hearted human being has to go through all of the things he has gone through. And before this video I was at 96 subs and after I'm at 215 now. I can't believe it! Thank you so much!
I like that you say the waves Ren's creating are a Tsunami- I've said before that I feel Ren is a Celestial being, an Angel Warrior of Light who has not just thrown a pebble into a lake and caused ripples but cast a meteorite deep into the ocean and created a Tsunami and through doing so has opened a Portal through which others struggling in the Darkness feel safer, and more Empowered to bring that darkness to the light - with less fear, less shame and less feeling alone
You are the first person out of all the many (so many) reactions I've watched that gave such an awesome observation about the 'Standing beside you verse'. Beautifully said!
OK - FIRST reaction? Wow - What a hit - Now you're gonna struggle to get the same buzz again - apart from more of Ren's stuff - Ironic that it sounds like a form of addiction! Salutes again from Oz buddy!
I agree, I too have watched more reactions that I want to admit. You saw and noticed pretty much the same things I did when I first saw it. Scratch that, experienced it. A new thing I noticed while watching your reaction was the cinematic use of zooming in and out during the "evil" section. Thanks for this reaction!😊
What a fantastic first reaction! I love that you felt the same as I did when I first discovered, 'Hi Ren'. I am so glad my nature wouldn't let me stop there with his catalogue and I dove head first into Ren's world, which featured several artists I now have on my playlist, all falling over talent like it's a prize, given out in the cereal in the UK! Just about to head to your second reaction. 🙂
Thank you! There's going to be plenty more and I have one dropping today if you continue to like my reactions. I am a music lover and just love talking about music.
I just saw your reaction to Hi Ren. I have watched this so many times. Never get tired of it. Every time I see it, I learn something new. You should watch The Tale of Jenny and Screech and Violets Tale. I think you’ll like them. Take Care of Yourself.
You sure picked a banger for your first react. ;) He hit 14 of spotifys viral songs. Thats without the video! Can i suggest 4 songs to see the huge range of his genuis. The band hes in the big push. Buskers. I shot the sheriff/zion rd/hip hop. That exact version. The hunger for his rapping ability, chalk outlines beautiful vocals, storytelling the tale of jenny and screech (full) oh and money game 1 and 2. Please play his multiple part songs together for max impact. Welcome to the Ren rabbithole! Next stop the Ren rollercoaster. Enjoy! Youcan go wrong with anything Ren. You are right we have been missing real raw emotional music for a long time.
This is YOUR FIRST??? Nice! If this is how your reactions are going to be... You are going to do very well ! Seriously! I listen to dozens of reactors... I could feel that you were genuine and truly listening ( although at first I wondered if you were distracted 😂). No matter. TRULY,.. nice job IMHO. ❤
Brother I too have watched other reactions and you blew me away with your take. You got him from the rip. I agree that he painted a masterpiece and you were right on every stroke of the brush Imagine combining Em and Beck with a British accent. Thanks for breaking it down. You have proven yourself on your maiden voyage
Fabulous reaction 😊. Really appreciate your technical insights into Hi Ren. Plus your honest reaction throughout in how you were connecting to what Ren has shared. The more I watch Ren across different songs I've noticed layers of poetry and performance, beyond the music he plays. This for me is what makes him rare as a musician. You mentioned you play guitar. Plus wanting to also learn. Have you come across Tommy Emmanuel? He is a master - basing this on what other guitarists say. Can I suggest Tommy playing Classic Gas ruclips.net/video/S33tWZqXhnk/видео.html Impressed by everything you brought to you first music reaction. Looking forward to learning more in your future reactions.
If you really want to dive into his rabbit hole you should really watch Jenny, screech, and violets tale in order! Been fallowing this dood for about seven years and super proud to see his accomplishments. Gives me inspiration. Much love
Ren encourages people to react and share as he is independent and this is a way for him to get his Music out there. Plenty of great stuff in his back catalogue to do if you want to react to more. Please do!
Brilliant reaction to Hi Ren. Ive watched many down this Ren Rabbit hole and yours is one of the best ive seen...so insightful on many levels. You got an awesome one for your first reaction xx
Since everyone already recommended Jenny/Screech/Violet, I would wish for another piece of art. Namely ”How to be me” live with Chinchilla. It’s written to his friend Joe who sadly decided to depart early from this life. Great reaction btw!
This one hasn’t been recommended. I’ll add it to the list of his catalog. Haha. It’s been a bit overwhelming for me all the engagement on this video but it’s a blessing. Ask and y’all shall receive.
I'll second that recommendation. I think it's my favourite Ren track. Musically it's exquisite with intricate harmonies that are microsecond precise. Ren and Chinchilla have an intimacy and musical understanding that takes my breath away every time I listen to it. And then the message breaks me. I think of it as a beautifully devastating song. [Edit] PS - really good reaction, I liked your analysis, especially the two minutes at the end that you weren't going to give, but did anyway. 🤣Thanks for that. Subbed.
Dude, I've watched probably 40 reactions to this song since discovering Ren 2 months ago. You are the first person I've watched who noticed the line "I stand here beside you today." Awesome reaction. Keep up the great work.
Mainstream stuff is more like kids throwing paint at a canvas and then charging people $100. But really I like how you put it. Over-produced and too simplistic.
You said “holy shit” at the end. Agree wholeheartedly. But, also, this reaction (as your first music reaction) made me say “holy shit” too (to the greatness of this reaction). Subbed and looking forward to more reactions from you. Great job!
His music is so versatile you won't believe your ears. He's a singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, story teller, instrumentalist (guitar/piano/drums), beatboxer, and social advocate. He excels in everything he puts out, which is mind blowing. You are in for a wild experience in this rabbit hole. Imagine combining Eminem/Prince/Sting/Nicholas Hoult into one man, that person would be Ren.😄🤩
You certainly picked an interesting one for your first reaction! I’ve been in my industry for 20+ years (tech), I’m young’ish (late 40’s) still, but had my first stroke a few years ago and imposter syndrome has totally set in. The stutter I got over as a kid came back, there are words I can’t say anymore. It’s been a long road but I’ve been crawling my way back to as close to normal as I can get. There’s been other medical issues that have decided to kick my ass while I’m down and this song kicked the shit out of me. I had no idea what I was in for but I’m damn glad I decided to watch a reaction/breakdown by Knox Hill. I’ve been running down the rabbit hole and Ren can literally do it all, his talent level is insane. I enjoyed your reaction and am looking forward to watching your channel grow!
Thank you so much. I'm sorry for all that you've been through and just keep your head up. Sometimes we forget how strong we actually are. Knox Hill is one of my go to Reactors and I'll have to check his out!
I don't like country either, well not anything contemporary at least. So much material to check out from Ren. He is a fresh breathe of air in the music landscape. Subbed. PS Looks like you linked the wrong Go Fund Me. He has a new one, the one you linked is an older (1st GFM) FYI. Peace
JP, your reaction was as genuine as it gets. The first time I tried to watch Ren: Hi Ren I had to stop the video after, I don't know maybe 2-3 minutes. It hit me that hard. I went and got coffee, moved around a bit trying not to think about it, but something about Ren's performance drew me back into the video. Heck I'm 71 years old and have never seen anyone as multi-talented as Ren, or anything close to what Ren is all about. It really warms my heart to see so many young people coming together, uniting for a common cause. Ren has revealed to us his innermost feelings of turmoil and somehow has found his way toward optimism and maybe some joy. Ren's stories resonate with many people, young and old alike. Thank you, JP for providing continued validation as we all make the journey with Ren. Ren's message will continue to grow in each of us.
Okay, listen bro. This song consumed me. I have watched mental specialists, vocal coaches, you name it and I have watched their reactions. You are so spot on in your interpretation, I appreciate your musical knowledge as well. I never comment, only like. I have 12 subscriptions, now it's 13. Good luck with your music and your channel.
At last. A fantastic reaction. Realising that every smack of strings was calculated. Shows just how astute you are. I've liked your video! now I'm going to subscribe. Thank-you.
Really a very good reaction! I am on your side when it comes to doing music reactions. If this was your first? Wow! You're a natural. I agree that it wasn't a 'song,' but a masterful work of art. Good luck in your journey!
Stages of watching Hi Ren: This looks creepy Guitar sounds nice Oh he’s singing Will the whole song be like this? Here’s the beat Ok he’s rapping now This guy is scary Now he seems nice Oh I see what he’s doing This is interesting This is intense The mean guy is a jerk This is INTENSE Make it stop I haven’t blinked or taken a breath in 2 minutes Go Ren! YES! OOO-OO-OO-OO-OO-.. I need some time to be still…
I love that when we first meet hope his voice is quiet and deep, he speaks slowly and the way he opens with" hi ren I've been taking some time to be distant" It almost sounds more like an apology than a statement. Like he says. "I've spent half my life ill" I guess this is because when ren got sick the first thing to suffer was his hope. But this lack of hopes presence allowed the darkness to become to powerful. So after we hear the darkness proclaim himself all powerfully and inevitable the hope decides he can't hide any longer and is needed. So he rises within ren to counter the dark. And I love how the entire performance ren is looking off screen until hope says "I GO BY MANY names also" at that moment he decided to look straight down the barrel of rhe camera. Almost as if to say look at ME right now. Look at me and listen when I tell you this because I'm serious.
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole,he's also an awesome rapper,it will blow your mind, and check out his live i shot the sherrif/road to zion/hip hop (knowing hip hop by dead prez shows how much a hip hop head he is)
Hey Flux Family,
I am humbled by the interaction I have received from this video in just 4 hours.

I am eternally grateful and already have some more Ren reactions and many more music reactions in the works for everyone! Thank you so much!
- McFly
Looking forward to seeing your other Ren reactions. He also has some fantastic collaborations with Chinchilla and Sam Tomkins. Until recently he was wit the Big Push a band of very talented guys.
@@kdavidreeves I had heard a song or two by the Big Push. Didn't know he was part of it until I posted this reaction.
This is a great reaction. Keep on your great work. Subscribed.
Great reaction
@@jrnhelgemagnussen9579 thank you so much!
You are the first reactor I've seen (and I've seen loads) that understood that the last section is the two parts playing and singing together.
To me that's what makes sense to follow both reality and the story he was telling.
Haha, I have been telling other reactors all day that this was the healthy fusion moment! (Well, telling them on the screen anyway). The fact that it continues the intro song, but with a higher, more melodic tone of triumphant finale, a celebration of wholeness and balance. So phenomenal and moving!
I was going to just mention that… the celebration/acceptance. What a masterpiece!
"He can play the guitar", "Bro can sing", "Sounds like he can rap" ... I bet all of us who are further down this rabbit hole are having a little chuckle, like somebody said some inside joke, whenever you say these things. :D You are in for a ride my friend.
I know, I got more to do. pparently this song is only the tip of the iceberg.
brief bio: Ren contracted Lyme disease and an autoimmune illness, was misdiagnosed as bi-polar, given psychotropic meds which "fed" his psychosis, he remains in treatment and has a "GoFundMe" account to pay his medical bills......
Thanks for the info. I made sure prior to posting the video that the GoFundMe was in the description.
Gotta support the dude. His talent is limitless.
This is so nice! Thank you so much that means a lot!
just wanted to say I agree and reiterate what you are saying. great job by McFly and well said Nancy
me too
Agreed.
Seen just about all of em and there's a new one every single day
Great pick for a first reaction. It might as well be your last music reaction, it doesn't get any better than this.
I'm happy with that. The trip Ren took me on made my life better. Can't ask for more than that.
Rather a birth of breaking down genres
Please dont ever say youre a nobdy...ive been watching Ren reactions for a while now, and Ive seen a lot of them. To me, you fit into a very select few that actually got the impact of this song. You have a very precious ear and a heart that has the ability to feel it....please dony ever discount yourself❤
@@ambermcvay6844 thank you so much! That means a lot. It’s a powerful song and so many resonate with it!
This reaction is one of the best I’ve seen, you’re pointing out a lot of details that most others have missed. What a masterpiece…
I appreciate that! I was locked in for my first ever music reaction.
LOL Hi Ren as your first reaction..well done m8
Thanks. Luck of the draw I guess!
@@mcflyjpWe are all lucky to have experienced, Ren.
Couldn't agree more. 👍🏼
@@justpassingthrough76 best reaction I’ve seen 👍🏻
Too funny 😂✅
A fun clip to watch is “The Mash Up.”
Ren’s trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy and is a prime example of his genius; it is a master’s class in storytelling and also showcases his guitar skills.
Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (Parts 1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).”
As I recently discovered, Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” that is simply beautiful.
Thanks for the info. I have been watching other reactors and it's great seeing the love and support he's getting.
That's what makes a great artist. Not only relatability but being able to tell a great story.
Very well said.😸
Its Not yodeling its is Classic Kolleratur singing
👍🏼
Word of God, aka Sam, the cinematographer - the flashing lights represent the shadow side and if you look, you'll see that he set the shadow on the left to be darker than the shadow on the right.
You’re the first person to mention that the singing at the end was different than the singing at the end. It sounds the same, but one is worry, and the other is celebration.
In fact, you made a lot of observations I’ve rarely heard. You are good at this.
Why thank you! That means a lot. I have plenty of other reactions if you're curious if it was just luck or not 😅
Glad you got the chaotic bit at the start. He’s actually a very good guitar player so the chaos was intentional
Everything was calculated.
First reaction ever and it's something profound as this? This is really one of the best reactions out there. Was taken aback by rather than plugging your Patreon, you asked for donations for another. Cheers all!
Thank you so much! The music wasn’t about me but Rens struggles. Everyone should support him.
None of all hundred Hi Ren reactions I watched noticed the symbolism of the second chorus. Spot on there!♥️
I appreciate that bthis one had me locked in from the very beginning. So much going on!
What you said there as it finished was my exact same reaction. It's not a song; it's a work of art. It's incredible...
A masterpiece. One that cannot be topped for a long time.
Any errors make it beautiful because it does what music was intended to, I speak to our soul and unites us. A Numinous Quality we are not used to
14:19 - Flickering lights at the end indicating that both halves are present. I've seen literally hundreds of reactions to this song. You're the first reactor I've seen who noticed this and made mention of it.
Great image poetry! The depth of his skills are yet to be seen from me and I can't wait to see more.
Amazing reaction. Glad that Ren brought me your way. That’s the power of song and social media and freedom. Bringing people together.
Thanks for the kind words. I agree. Music has no bounds.
@@mcflyjp Not many reactors seem to notice this. Like Simon and yourself I expected that final note, then realised it was intentional.
@@alanbrown9306 Was waiting for a resolve but not resolving it is so cool and just more appropriate in telling the story.
@@alanbrown9306 I loved it and hated it in equal measure. So effective. This cat has skills on top of skills on top of talent on top of vision.

Love it!

The dark side must be channeled, harnessed. Since it can't be eliminated. Zen mentions that.
Yup. I did too in the end. We have to learn to work with it and use it in a positive way.
@@baldbearded9601 thanks for supporting! It's a grind but so worth it!
It's great that people are still saying 'What Is Going On Everybody' and I can share that with my 25 year old son.
I'm confused by this comment.
Ren is a spectacular Performance Artist. Great reaction video, thank you.
He is an amazing artist! Glad I've stumbled upon him!
I’m a year late, but I’m stuck on this song and I keep watching people react to it for the first time.
I’ll be in my bedroom, with it playing on my TV and I’ll get a text from my wife, “Again?”
I just answer back, “Yup.” Lol
Great video and great reaction.
Someone seeing HI REN as their first Ren video: "It sounds like he can rap..."
People who have already gone down the Ren rabbit hole: "Hehe, yes. Oh yes, he can. You are in for a treat..."
Good reaction, good luck with your channel!
Thanks I appreciate it. And yeah, I've been hearing I'm in for a great surprise.
Nice to see reactors getting called in and surprised by the dive into psychosis.
Don't gotta worry about copyright with ren. He has it set up as a thank you to reactors for spreading his music. If the vid is pulled dispute it and straight away it'll be good. Welcome to the rabbit hole. This guy is a genius. Truly
Oh by the way brilliant reaction bro 🙏
Thanks. I got a copyright claim but an still able to use it. So that's fine by me. More worried about sharing his music.
Ren is next level
u r the only reactor that caught the shadows on the floor! Great job for your first reaction! This one is a big one! He is a genius!
He's a musical genius. Modern Day Bard. Illest of our Time.
Ren is an absolute genius ❣️🔥❣️
True artist 🔥
Great reaction 💙
Definitely recommend going down the #Ren rabbit hole! Well worth it
Oh I'm already down it.
Ren being your first music reaction is something. The guy bends and weaves through genres and styles. Enjoy the ride cause it's an emotional rollercoaster.

I'm so excited I found him. Definitely a generational talent.
@@mcflyjp yea it's been a minute since I've felt that gutteral emotion Ren can bring out and then flip it and just be a vibe like humble or hold on
The intro guitar was purposely played in that progressively chaotic manner, setting up for the rest of the performance.
I caught on to that. Everything was calculated. He's definitely a genius.
My first time seeing your reactions and I’m subbing! You really got it! Here’s some info and songs 🖤
Welcome to the Renaissance!

Found you on my rabbit hole journey of watching all the reactors watch ren lol.
Love your view points and especially as you actually know music and obviously understand the message he was getting across.
Great first music reaction, keep it up!
Thank you so much!
There is a lot to cover with Ren for sure.
Dude! I have watched ALL of these reactions to Hi Ren…I was not ready for YOU!
Props to you and your friend who was enthusiastic about your decision to do this.
Great work! Great artist! Both of you.
Enjoy the rabbit hole. I have.
Tha k you so much! Just trying to do what I can to analyze the song! ♥️
Liked this, thanks for drifting across my thread. Yes live, yes diminished, yes chromatics - yay - a man with ears!
Thanks for the compliment. To be fair, my ears are trained.
@@mcflyjp You'd be surprised how many trained ears are made of cloth
I've seen this video over 100 and never noticed that. The amount of details in this performance is incredible.
@@mcflyjp
I must have watched HI REN 40+ times in the last two months, picking up tidbits from one reactor after another.
Thank you!
All of these have been requested. I will hopefully get to them soon! Excited for Yebba and Nightwish.
You nailed it, the first reaction I’ve seen that immediately recognized self doubt. Well done.
Thanks. This one kind of struck a nerve that was open for me. Had huge self doubt. No channel growth. Nothing going. Then I put this out and the rest is history.
I have to say that I am addicted to not only watching this video it also watching the countless reactions to it.
This song get me every time I watch it and I am glad it seems to do the same to
Almost everyone else who watches it as well.
Wonderful honest and genuine reaction you gave to this song. Looking forward to seeing more reactions of Rens amazing works.
I have over 30 Ren reactions. Hope you'll stay and enjoy!
Thanks. I feel that makes more sense in the context than him talking to us. It seems from many of the comments I’m not the only one who thought that.
Honestly, you have explained exactly what happens when I experience artistic music and films. Thank you. ❤️
Thanks. Glad I was able to be your voice :)
OK - FIRST reaction? Wow - What a hit - Now you're gonna struggle to get the same buzz again - apart from more of Ren's stuff - Ironic that it sounds like a form of addiction! Salutes again from Oz buddy!
Thanks very much!
Glad you enjoyed. A lot to pick up on in this but he pulls you in very quickly.
Welcome to the multitalented genius that is Ren. Hope to see you deep down the rabbit hole with the rest of us 🐰 🕳️
I'm there now and dove in head first! Excited to post more of my reactions soon!
We ALL cry. Welcome to the movement that is...Ren. 🥹
Some people won't admit they cry.
@@mcflyjp that's okay. We know.
Thank you for this reaction, this is my top 3 reactions for this art. And ive watched A TON.

I was following this guy when he started making this song. He's amazing. Thanks for reacting to him.
You're one of the OGs!
I just saw your reaction to Hi Ren.
I have watched this so many times. Never get tired of it.
Every time I see it, I learn something new.
You should watch The Tale of Jenny and Screech and Violets Tale. I think you’ll like them.
Take Care of Yourself.
Thanks! I have a running list of songs to react to.
Seeing this just shows there are very artistic people out there, yet somehow the companies don't want them mainstream. I wonder why that is.
Fantastic reaction to Ren. Pure excitement.
Thanks. I have many others if you are interested.
Welcome- and be ready to have your mind blown
This is YOUR FIRST??? Nice! If this is how your reactions are going to be... You are going to do very well ! Seriously! I listen to dozens of reactors... I could feel that you were genuine and truly listening ( although at first I wondered if you were distracted 😂). No matter. TRULY,.. nice job IMHO. ❤
I was just talking it all in. Didn't want to keep interrupting.
Brother I too have watched other reactions and you blew me away with your take. You got him from the rip. I agree that he painted a masterpiece and you were right on every stroke of the brush
Imagine combining Em and Beck with a British accent.
Thanks for breaking it down. You have proven yourself on your maiden voyage
Thank you very much. There have been 34 other videos of Ren since this one (and many other artists) that I hope you'll enjoy.
Wow…..great reaction….this song makes people think
It's an emotional roller coaster!
Can I suggest Tommy playing Classic Gas ruclips.net/video/S33tWZqXhnk/видео.html
Impressed by everything you brought to you first music reaction. Looking forward to learning more in your future reactions.
I'll have to check that out. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your excellent, thoughtful and intelligent reaction! You really hit the nail.
Thank you so much

If you really want to dive into his rabbit hole you should really watch Jenny, screech, and violets tale in order! Been fallowing this dood for about seven years and super proud to see his accomplishments. Gives me inspiration. Much love
Yeah. That should be coming very soon. Most requested song.
Ren encourages people to react and share as he is independent and this is a way for him to get his
Music out there. Plenty of great stuff in his back catalogue to do if you want to react to more. Please do!
I definitely will be doing so.
Brilliant reaction to Hi Ren. Ive watched many down this Ren Rabbit hole and yours is one of the best ive seen...so insightful on many levels. You got an awesome one for your first reaction xx
Idk how this ended up as my first but I got extremely lucky.
Subbed.
I second this!!! The live version is sublime, truly gorgeous. And heart-rending. I'm a weepy mess by the end.
Wow---how sad. Will check that out.
Dude, I've watched probably 40 reactions to this song since discovering Ren 2 months ago. You are the first person I've watched who noticed the line "I stand here beside you today." Awesome reaction. Keep up the great work.
Thank you! That part is the most powerful part, imo.
The main stream stuff is more like Crafted Art , this is High Art.
Great job!
Thank you so much! That's so nice of you.
I have my 2nd one up already and my 3rd goes up tomorrow.
Man is praise is immeasurable. I feel like this rabbit hole is deep!
The tale of Jenny and screech (full version)
He has nuff rap songs bro
Is there any you recommends. I’m new to the Ren train.
Great reaction. “I don’t know if he raps”, you have fun times ahead 😂
Lol. People already told me he does. I gotta see for myself.
Thank you for being so awesome! I'm overwhelmed with the love I'm getting on my first music reaction!
I don't like country either, well not anything contemporary at least. So much material to check out from Ren. He is a fresh breathe of air in the music landscape. Subbed. PS Looks like you linked the wrong Go Fund Me. He has a new one, the one you linked is an older (1st GFM) FYI. Peace
Shit. Let me find the right link. . .
@@mcflyjp I would have posted it but YT would have just taken it down.
I know I am late but this was a great react. Thank you so much, I loved hearing your perspective of the music side and the rest.
@@Elizabeth-qh3kw thank you. And no need to apologize. Adulting keeps us so busy.
Beautiful words. Good art knows no bounds and can affect anyone and everyone. This is a masterpiece.
Wow thank you so much. I'm setting the bar high for my channel. I promise to do my best to deliver in the future.
Also Rick Beato is awesome. I love is "Why Makes This Songs Great" series.
At last. A fantastic reaction. Realising that every smack of strings was calculated. Shows just how astute you are. I've liked your video! now I'm going to subscribe. Thank-you.
Oh my goodness thank you so much for the kind words. Little details in music that so many people take for granted. I had to mention it.
I wasn't ready and i didn't expect this are the two sentences everybody says or thinks when they listen to this for the first time
I haven't been pleasantly surprised by a song and/or artist in too long. I was happy!
Really a very good reaction! I am on your side when it comes to doing music reactions. If this was your first? Wow! You're a natural. I agree that it wasn't a 'song,' but a masterful work of art. Good luck in your journey!
Thank you so much I appreciate that. I got a lot more content, and more so, Ren content.

This is intense
The mean guy is a jerk
This is INTENSE
Make it stop
I haven’t blinked or taken a breath in 2 minutes
Go Ren!
YES!
OOO-OO-OO-OO-OO-..
I need some time to be still…
Haha. You forgot
[Awe] at the beginning and end 😆
So many powerful moments in that performance! One of the best I've seen.
Absolutely this.
This was startling in it's beauty and honesty.
The vulnerability shown is unmatched.
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole,he's also an awesome rapper,it will blow your mind, and check out his live i shot the sherrif/road to zion/hip hop (knowing hip hop by dead prez shows how much a hip hop head he is)
I mean that's a deep cut. So I'm curious as to his rapping skills.
I have only got into Ren yesterday and he is 'GOOD' ! in several styles I have seen so far......
I look forward to posting more of my reactions to his stuff.
