By this point the Travellers Forecast theme was changed, I think it was probably one of the first times this theme was used (normally new themes would start on a Monday).
I think, normally classical music would play in the event of technical difficulties. In this case, it was the satellite signal that was disrupted; so everything goes dead on the receiving end. Also, the Traveller's theme debuted just a few weeks before this recording. You may notice the original version was more zoomed in over central Canada, and as a result didn't include Ottawa.
