      Im thinking of getting my son a 2014 V6 Mustang, that 3.7 with r680 is pretty quick. With a tune and some rear gears, it's a total sleeper and a go start for my boy.

      @@Joebauers2505 there is no benefits about a 6 cylinder turbo, Ive owned a 2011 335i and I can tell you they eat as much gas as a v8 and if you want to make big boy power they just aren’t up to the task without dumping lots and lots of cash.

    TBH a lot of BMW owners were upset about the sound of their BMW. They sounded amazing with the V8. But the turbo B58/S58 are a powerhouse you can’t deny are monsters.

      I'm a BMW fan I never complained. Some of the 3 series loosing inline sixes for the n20 and b48 engines yes people hated that....

    Alex, to your point, I recently purchased 2015 taura SHO eco boost twin awd. It also has a tune. This sucker moves out. Yeah, I know it's a boat, but that low-end tq gets it moving pretty quickly.

    I see what you’re saying, but that’s what makes the Mustang a Mustang in my opinion is that V8 sound and performance. I would never buy a mustang that’s not a V8 🇺🇸💪🏼🐎

      Same, even if the V6 was better performance-wise, I couldn't bring myself to BUY a V6. I could appreciate it and accept I'd get dogged by it, but I would never trade/buy for one.

    it wont sell with the 3.5 as well in Europe because they already have those motors they want big V8 American motors in their mustangs

    This worked out pretty bad for Mercedes so bad they had to revert to the v8 for future models of the c63 even though it was the most powerful in 2024 with the i4 hybrid system (720/750 I think) customers wanted the v8 back. BMWs s58 platform all around everyone seems to be happy with the performance with the g80.

    Glad you liked my point of view on this one. I posted a dyno graph of a 21 Raptor next to the 24 Mustang. The Raptor is literally up 100hp/tq at the wheels at 3500 rpm. The Mustang doesn't overtake it until 5200ish rpm. If you want to go really crazy, the GT spec 3.5 mimics a Coyote power curve up to about 6K rpm while not only making more power than a Coyote, but 500 lb/ft of wheel torque from 3K to 6K.

      @@midnight347 Show me a world where that meets MPG and Emission standards from the factory. It doesn't. An "Ecoboost Coyote" will never exist. The whole point of those engines are to make the power of a bigger motor with less cylinders.

    We all bag on EcoBoost for fart exhaust, but after 13yrs of production it really is pretty great stuff for daily driver power. Have an 18 Edge Sport 2.7TT as the daily/winter car. With a $300 email tune, puts out 392 Grand Cherokee numbers but still nails 27mpg on highway trips. Monster in snow with snow tires. Upside: pretty sure it pipes in fake engine sounds thru speakers, sounds too meaty to be an EcoFart.

    Yep, most Big beverage plants run automated forklifts now, pepsi hasnt caught up yet but coke, niagara etc run em. They even take themselves back to their assigned charging station. Charging takes just a few minutes.

    It would only take one air intake assembly on a flow bench with/without the carbon trap and then use a data log to have a true measurement of air mass through the assembly. I bet the difference would be hugely disappointing.

    BMW only went to V8s in their M cars for a short time. Beamers roots were always the straight 6. I love the sound of V8s the best, but the way the world is changing to EVs, i will forever cherish the symphony of any ICE vehicle. It could be a 1 cyl diesel with a misfire, and it would bring a tear to my eye if that's the only ICE i've heard in years.

    If mustang was not offered in a V8 I’d buy a fast 6 but it would not be a Mustang probably an M3 or M4 BMW. I’m actually a 5.0 L Coyote fan full stop.

    Broooo I love you, you’re funny af roasting a 5.0 f150 running 12.2s like that’s shit time for an na truck without opening the motor hahaha😂 trucks doing those time till the 5.0 f150 (3rd gen) came out we’re only modded diesels and Chevy guys with cams and head work in their 1500s. Obviously the lighting bolt on tune as well but not counting that.

    1:14:50 I wouldn't buy one, but I would definitely like to test drive one. Performance aside, the Coyote sounds WAY too good to give up for a faster V6 model (unless there was a way to make them sound as mean and badass as the V8)

    A v6 mustang gt would probably get a lot of initial blowback. It would be awesome if they did a 4.0TT v8 mustang but that would probably be pricey. They really should have made the Mustang lose weight. Its too heavy.

    S55/ S58 are twin turbo M car engines and the B58 is a single turbo cast piston non M car engine.

    If all I cared about was performance, I would just go and buy a tesla or tycan turbo s. However yes I actually care if the eneging actually sounds good and also has to perform alex. Also i work as a cerfiide nursing assistant and i take care our elderly and People that need help to do everyday things and i honestly work ass off for my 16 an hour.

    S650 Mustang = 94/95 Mustang GT

      The 94 gt was much different than a fox inside and out it was a totally different car. They had 5 lug and 4 wheel disc factory on all mustangs the fox did not they were totally different inside and out like an all new mustang is supposed to be unlike this s550 2.0.

      Man don't dissrespect the 94-95 GT. The S650 is more like the 96-98 GT. At least with the 94-95 you could easily thow on some heads and in a performance cam and you were good to go, unlike the 96-98 4.6 2V.

      SN95 was great for brakes alone. Computer was a pain to deal with cams and heads, and the aggressive protection strategy.

      I got one and finding people to tune it is not easy and the ones that do preferred certain Fox parts be installed to make tuning easier.

    The raptor spec EB is fords high end motor for the mustang it would be their base engine? Idk but if they make an I6 it would sound so much better that I bet it would be more accepted barra, 2j type sound

    How many people get a pension at the end of their work career. No non union does that. Wages need to keep up with inflation Period. Manufacturers are greedy that is why they are not sucessful. Ford is a good example of this.

      if you are investing wisely you don't need a pension. One of the big reasons cars are expensive is Timmy is making $90K+ a year to put a tire on a car as it rolls down the assembly line, then he doesn't even tighten the lug nuts, the robot arm does it for him. The unions are just as corrupt and greedy as the manufacturers.

    If Ford goes 6 cylinder turbo I'll go else where for that. Other var companies make better turbo 6's. The mustang would be dead to me. I'll ride it out in a jdm inline 6 or German. Mustang is a V8 car. Once that's done so is the heritage. That's like WWE removing powerbombs and blood etc. Dead content now

    I at least think the 3.5 ecoboost should have at least been an option. If you drive 2 F150s back to back one with the 3.5 and one with the 5.0 the 3.5 feels way better.

    I think the fastest n/a 5.0 f150 was a 10.4-10.8 by allmotorlabs but I know he did weight reduction and full fbo stall

    Bro I am STILL seeing comments like “it’s because they haven’t reached 500 miles yet” I was in a several day long argument saying the s650 isn’t faster than a s550 and there is a reason they said “most powerful” mustang instead of fastest. I just am done with these clowns man. I was talking 0-60 times saying they are like the exact same and the dude whips out the dark horse 0-60 time. I about lost it.       I've seen guys go as quick as 11.8 at 117 with a bone stock 2012 boss on slicks. It's crazy the dark horse prob couldn't even match that. I wanna see one go 11.8 at 117 with a manual slicks only. I'll wait lol.

    What I don’t get is why Ford doesn’t base all of its ecoboost engines on Coyote architecture? Chevy has 90 degree V6 based on the Vortec and LT engines. Just imagine a 3.75L 90 degree Coyote V6 twin turbo 400 hp base car, then give the GT the Dark Horse 5.0, and then the Dark Horse gets a 5.2 (like 580hp 5.2XS Crate) but with dual intake like how the Germans/Italians do it. Entry level Mustang with 400 hp V6, the GT with 500 hp 5.0 V8, the Dark Horse🤢 with 600 hp 5.2 V8, and if they had brains/Balls a 5.2 “Hot V setup” twin turbo with 900 hp-1000 hp.

      @@andrestnt that maybe true but they’ll save a lot more money by making them Coyote based. They could use Coyote pistons, con rods, valves, lashers, caps, bolts, sensors, injectors, timing gear, etc. The only money needed will be from casting a V6 block, heads, intake, crank, cams, and exhaust manifold. The reality is they would save more in the long run with a “3/4 v8” Coyote V6 or “1/2 v8” Coyote 4 cyl then their current ecoboost lineup.

      @@4VJoeBoo302 no they won't. They would have to develop a whole new slew of I4/I3 and other variations. Ecoboost isn't just one single engine line like the coyote. Also it doesn't fit the bill for everything, hence why for having to develop other engines like the 6.2L and the Godzilla.

    I'm not a Dodge fan, but the I-6 3.0 twin turbo Hurricane engine looks promissing for Dodge. I can see Ford maybe taking notice and making something to compete. I would prefer an I-6 over the 3.5 Ecoboost. Maybe Ford could even use the Barra name and market it in that manner.

    39:57 managers at in and out make $240,000 a year. It certainly works out for them when their customer service is terrific and in and out rakes in the money. McDonald’s can pay someone $20 an hour, seriously think about how little $20 is in 2023. After taxes it won’t even buy you a meal at that same McDonald’s.
