Professor Alex B-Series is fixed cam timing, dual pattern cam for both intake and exhaust. K-series is VCT and dual pattern cams for both intake and exhaust.
I had 8 rocker arm retaining clips come off running my Whippled OEM gen 3 to 8500 a few hundred times over 5 years, one went through a cam, broke cam cap bolts, cam cap was in pieces in my cylinder head, cam was bent, also had multiple broken piston skirts. Car still made the same power though and compression test was fine, just had cam sensor codes. I see the cars like Lasalas run gt350 cylinder heads and rocker arms which dont have rocker arm retaining clips, although lasala did break a cam cap too. I now have billet cam caps, ARP cam cap bolts, an aluminator ARP headstuds etc etc
Sounds like an exciting time to come new tuning device from Lund, further advancements on the 6R80.. Pumped for the future for the first time since November 3rd 2020.
I think the boost and RPM will be a problem eventually. Michael Washington's car was wearing out valve springs over 10k without boost. Cams and Heads details really dictate RPM. Also, for the people running big boost. I noticed that the compression ratio is being lowered.
My RTD was datalogging issue was apple CarPlay connecting on bluetooth at the same time my RTD was trying to talk. Once I fixed that. My Apple Watch would reach out inside my house and try and connect in the driveway.
John Mihovetz has gone 5.88 @ 256mph with an almost entirely oe 4.6 4V and it dynod over 3,000 hp right at 10,000 rpm on the Westech dyno. ... in 2015. He's also built the world record standing mile 5.4L in MKII Motorsports Ford GT. That was a near 10,000 rpm engine also. Fords been twisting for years. 0:02
Google "Texas Mile Record Holder" to see that (still) world record pass of 300 mph. And unlike so many other cars running the TX Mile that had ugly aero tack-ons, that '05 FGT had NONE. .
I also agree with the Camaro/Mustang/Charger/Challenger ban. That whole community needs to calm down. If you're at Cars and Coffee, you're going to get outshined, get used to it. Nitrous and bias plys….. you said the other day something about cutting the rear stock springs for drag racing. I have stock rear and front springs and rear strange single adjustable. Fronts are stock. I’m manual with bias plys and I’m cutting a low 1.4 consistently. Will that work on my car? How much spring would you cut off?
John Doc has a billet circle d torque converter in the Blacksheep and he's run 1.04 sixty foot at 4.09s in the 1/8! And that car weighs over 3,000 with him in it!

@@Diamondsintherubble The coyote and small cube with vct is doing so well im drag racing is due to lower torque and the ability to create a favorable power curve to get the car to 60ft easier without spinning.. its the reason these guys are turning 1.0 60s and well iver 200mph thru the traps.. and street guys love them cuz you can drive a modern nice car with full interior and daily a 700-900hp car without pulling the motor or tearing into it at all.. it is a great platform..

There’s nothing magical about Coyotes versus the previous 4V. Great motors but they really didn’t rewrite the fundamentals. Coyote is easier because of available intakes and OEMs ignition systems that allow some RPM.
@@BC08 12 to 1 compression, an 8000+ RPM ready valvetrain, and a rotating assembly that is ready out of the box for 800+ WHP absolutely sets it apart from its predecessors which can’t do any of that. The coyote requires boost, E85, and nothing else. I’m also guessing you don’t own one

The 4.6 4V was there with oe timing components in 2014/15. Accufab ran 5.88 @ 256mph with an almost entirely oe 4.6 4V. 3,000 hp @ 10,000.
Brett Lasala isn't a pro mod and he's also spinning 10,000 w/ oe coyote timing components
