You have done just simply great. It is just that the setup is not clean enough. I mean it's just the little thing. You can ignore this anyway. Never mind. 👍👍👍👍👍
BigDwiz tested that Boss amp and it barely made 200 watts rms. He later destroyed the amp out of disgust by shorting it out internally. The moral is that those subs could give you so much more with an amp that can properly drive them. The amp doesn't need to be a fancy brand name, just something that can actually give the subs the RMS they are designed to handle, the Boss armor 4000d puts out 800 watts rms into 2 ohms or 1200 watts rms into 1 ohm. -The Planet Audio anarchy AC2500.1M will put out 250 watts rms into 4 ohms or 400 watts rms into 2 ohms. Both amps are priced very low and offer good performance for the money. Pioneer and Rockford offer some very reasonably priced monoblocks that meet their advertised rms ratings if you have a little extra to spend.
You would be way happier with JL Audio W7 series speakers instead of Kicker. They are much more money but the happiness level goes up exponentially. Just the same, you could have bought an Ecoboost, but you spent a fortune more on a GT and that cold air intake + Bama tune was expensive. Spend the extra money on top of the line speakers. You will freak out when you hear the bass difference. It's like driving an Ecoboost compared to a 5.0. Night and day difference. Put in two 12W7's and that car will BANG HARD. You should also put black wire loom on the power wire coming off the battery, just the way it is on most wires from the factory on other wiring harnesses. I used to get loom at Radio Shack. You'll have to get it elsewhere now.
Hey! You have to download the image to a USB drive, resize the image before you transfer to the drive, then just plug it into your usb drive in the center. There’s a really good tutorial on the forums
s burton thanks I will deff do that when the time comes up. I'm really impressed with how the stock amp is powering my door speakers. 200w max 6.5s it's not too bad. But when I want more I'm going to have to do a lot of work
Damm bro I have the amp I thought it was dead but come to find out it was installed hella shyty so I bought and fosgate amp thinking it was my amp and I ran all new wires myself so yesterday I said let hook up the boss amp and that thing came on a was hitting hard nice set up bro
Getting a mustang Gt premium. I have a Audio control LCq 1 should i connect to the wires from the back of the radio or to the wires after the factor amp for the signal
What gauge wire are you running to your amp and ground? I cant really tell from the video but I would suggest at least 4 gauge if you arent already it does make a difference. Im using the LC2i as well its a good product.
@@3r1kvg83 I went to the flea market and they did it they just pushed the back seat in flipped it down and said they just slid it in over the back seat

Hey you do know that the GTO function of the LC2i is a remote turn off function already, right? You didnt need to run that remote wire. At least that's what they say
David Lynch GTO is remote turn ON so it knows when to turn on when it gets signal from the speaker wire inserted from his rear speakers. He’s using the remote OUT to turn on his amp with his lc2i.
awesome video, I am trying to wire up my subs in my 2017 f150 without removing the headunit so i will also be purchasing a lc2i. The only thing I'm confused on is where the speaker wires come from (also is it 2 wires or does it have to be 4?) and where do the power wires come from? I noticed you used the thick wire from the battery to the amp, but then howd you power the lc2i and vice versa?
nevermind figured most of it out by rewatching the video a shit ton, but now all i need to know is what guage wire are you running from the amp power wire to the LC2i power in? its not that same guage as the power wire from the battery to the amp right? Also, What if I dont have 2 rear speakers to tap into, could I just use the one? I imagine it plays the same low range that your two deck speakers play
Ekaj Oabil I thought of the same thing. But, I was told from a professional at Best Buy that it doesn't matter in this year of mustang. All the speakers from and back receive the same signal. So basically, to do from the front and run it to the back would just be longer speaker wire if you are putting your amp and lC2i in the back seat.
I am looking to do the same exact setup with LC2i. Do you think adding an epicenter to the mix will give any benefit in restoring bass on old songs that don’t have a lot of bass?
greg0716 you want to try and match your rms from the amp with the rms of the speaker, if you cannot remember there is about a 70% rule, for example if you are wanting to push 100rms try to go for an amp that is at least pushing 70rms this will give you the best clarity and you will get the full potential out of what your speaker is capable of,
JokerMustang Fiveoh do you have new speaker wires??i do have new speaker wires installed but now i dont know how if i should cut the speaker wires from the stereo wire harness and just connect it straight to the loc
fifty 9755 I just used the positive and negatives on the left and right speakers , I cut them and crimped in new speaker wire to the loc while I kept my old speaker wire and factory connections to the rear speakers. I cut them about 6 inches before the factory plugs. And that's where I crimped and put everything together.
fifty 9755 just connected at the speakers from the rear. No need to take the stereo out or tap into those wires. The rear speakers are full range which is the same you would be tapping at the stereo, just a whole lot more work and destruction to get the stereo out of the center console. Way easier to just tap and crimp at the rears
Bruh I can’t find it anywhere! Which wire do you tap into for signal?!?! I can’t find nothing! I just wanna do a amp & a 12” I’ve got the sync 3 big screen too, I wanna leave everything how it is
The LC2 unit takes signal from any speaker. When it gets the signal from the speaker (stereo on), the remote wire from the LC2 sends the remote signal to the amp to turn on. This way, you dont have to open your dash for a remote wire. Also, some factory stereos lower the bass in a signal to the factory soeakers when you raise the volume. The LC2 unit fixes that with tuning adjustments. Makes upgrades using factory stereos and aftermarket amps a breeze. Hope this helps.
Not sure if you still need this information. If you're doing the same exact setup to tap into the rear speakers using an LC2i. REAR SPEAKERS: Left Rear WH/GR + BN/YE - Right Rear BN/WH + BN/BU - If you're using an LC7i, you still need to tap into the front and rear speakers which will allow for you to amplify front, rear, and subs. Just need sure to upgrade all of the interior speakers since they are all crap.

Good, if you bought that from an actual car audio shop, you could've been looking at $400 maybe. Here's what I would do. New amp. Look into the Pioneer GM series. Great bang for your buck. Build a custom box or buy one. If the wiring kit isn't OFC, get OFC. Other than that, nice ride. I'm looking into the LC2i, but not sure if the Accubass distorts the signal. I had 2 P3 12s on the amp and they slammed, so when my 15's get on it, they will be a little overpowered. It's a budget system really, $99 a sub from Fi is a great deal.
GhilleGhille yeah I'll check that out. I know of pioneer didn't know they had a different series out. I ended up installing a coupler kicker 6.5s in each door with a kicker amp. It sounds great right now. But, I'm ready for stronger bass. I plugged in the bass rca's into the smaller kicker amp and it hit harder than the bigger boss amp did. So I know it'll sound great when I get a second better brand amp
Great video and explanation. Just got an LC2i with and amp and 2 10’s for my fusion and visually seeing how it’s wired helps a ton.

If your going aftermarket unit you won’t need a line out converter. They would have built in outputs

Have you experienced any sound distortion by piggybacking the power off of the amp power?
John Parmer none at all. Seems very clue.
