Update on my stereo system added a 4 Chanel amp, all new kicker speakers, and used the lc2i. This is an update from my first video. 4 kicker speakers, 2 subwoofers, 1 mono 300 amp, 1 4 channel 250 amp. Matches appropriate rms range ratings, fitted with recommended ohms, and turned subwoofer box around. Check the video out. Here is a final video on my complete install on a 2015 Mustang GT while keeping the factory headunit. Sounds amazing. I have two kicker comp 12s. A boss amp. And the Lc2i LOC. Ran the speakers in parallel wiring since my amp is a monoblock. Tied into the positive and negative on the right and left speakers into the Lc2i. Be sure to tune the lc2 for bass drop-off otherwise it doesn't do what you paid for it to do

Great video and explanation. Just got an LC2i with and amp and 2 10’s for my fusion and visually seeing how it’s wired helps a ton.
So how do you get your rear speakers to send signal to the LC2I converter?

If your going aftermarket unit you won’t need a line out converter. They would have built in outputs

Hey! You have to download the image to a USB drive, resize the image before you transfer to the drive, then just plug it into your usb drive in the center. There’s a really good tutorial on the forums

You would be way happier with JL Audio W7 series speakers instead of Kicker. They are much more money but the happiness level goes up exponentially. Just the same, you could have bought an Ecoboost, but you spent a fortune more on a GT and that cold air intake + Bama tune was expensive. Spend the extra money on top of the line speakers. You will freak out when you hear the bass difference. It's like driving an Ecoboost compared to a 5.0. Night and day difference. Put in two 12W7's and that car will BANG HARD. You should also put black wire loom on the power wire coming off the battery, just the way it is on most wires from the factory on other wiring harnesses. I used to get loom at Radio Shack. You'll have to get it elsewhere now.
I am looking to do the same exact setup with LC2i. Do you think adding an epicenter to the mix will give any benefit in restoring bass on old songs that don’t have a lot of bass?
all late but yes but on bass heavy songs you won’t need the epicenter up

Damm bro I have the amp I thought it was dead but come to find out it was installed hella shyty so I bought and fosgate amp thinking it was my amp and I ran all new wires myself so yesterday I said let hook up the boss amp and that thing came on a was hitting hard nice set up bro
What gauge wire are you running to your amp and ground? I cant really tell from the video but I would suggest at least 4 gauge if you arent already it does make a difference. Im using the LC2i as well its a good product.
hes running a boss amp so he aint running much power at all. 4 would be more than plenty for that amp. its a realy low end amp not powerful at all.

if i change my stock speakers with higher wattage speakers, will they sound weak since theyre not being pushed 50 watts?
greg0716 you want to try and match your rms from the amp with the rms of the speaker, if you cannot remember there is about a 70% rule, for example if you are wanting to push 100rms try to go for an amp that is at least pushing 70rms this will give you the best clarity and you will get the full potential out of what your speaker is capable of,
What size ground do i need to run from lc2 to amp?
I used black wire I bought from Walmart, it’s just regular wire and i ran it to the negative ground insert on the amp

MR JERRY it’s All kicker now, I just got a good buy on the bundle and couldn’t wait any longer so used the boss amp until I got my kicker amps

Sounds great bro crystal clear. Did you hear big difference by changing the door speakers? I am currently in a sub amp build to my factory system 2008 caddy dts. It has a factory amp powering all the speakers. Also what os the big difference in Turning your box around? Thanks bro thats a fire 🔥🔥🔥 system!
Three Kings yes I heard a great difference in sound. Make sure you use the lc2i it will let you keep your factory head unit. You just add the lc2i to the full range wires and you’ll be fine. I turned it around most for just looks, I was going to show my car in myrtle beach for mustang week and I wanted to show it from inside the car. I really didn’t hear much difference though. Congrats on the build, it sounds really good. If you really want to step it up use an LC7i.
Hey you do know that the GTO function of the LC2i is a remote turn off function already, right? You didnt need to run that remote wire. At least that's what they say
David Lynch GTO is remote turn ON so it knows when to turn on when it gets signal from the speaker wire inserted from his rear speakers. He’s using the remote OUT to turn on his amp with his lc2i.
@@vkProdigY yeah I ended up having to do the same lol. The damn amp kept turning off after a few seconds of being on.

Bruh I can’t find it anywhere! Which wire do you tap into for signal?!?! I can’t find nothing! I just wanna do a amp & a 12” I’ve got the sync 3 big screen too, I wanna leave everything how it is
The LC2 unit takes signal from any speaker. When it gets the signal from the speaker (stereo on), the remote wire from the LC2 sends the remote signal to the amp to turn on. This way, you dont have to open your dash for a remote wire. Also, some factory stereos lower the bass in a signal to the factory soeakers when you raise the volume. The LC2 unit fixes that with tuning adjustments. Makes upgrades using factory stereos and aftermarket amps a breeze. Hope this helps.
Not sure if you still need this information. If you're doing the same exact setup to tap into the rear speakers using an LC2i. REAR SPEAKERS: Left Rear WH/GR + BN/YE - Right Rear BN/WH + BN/BU - If you're using an LC7i, you still need to tap into the front and rear speakers which will allow for you to amplify front, rear, and subs. Just need sure to upgrade all of the interior speakers since they are all crap.
Good vid how did you learn how to do this? I’ve got the lc2i 2 Ken woods 12s and Ken wood 1k amp, like to hook it up myself in my Lincoln MKZ
Did you install coaxial or component 6.5's?
