Enrique Martinez 😃 ... Btw I am going for the mk 2 because I only need it for launching clips. For me launchpad pro is somethinh you'd use in a studio environment and I already have a Push so I guess having both would be pretty redundant AND poor use of money :)
Exactly if you got push you don't need the pro. But the regular LP would be a great assist, or a travel companion. Push can get a little heavy haha. For launching clips and start/stop recording onto clips that LP has got you covered
Yeah, you're right man... Push is a real pain in the back (haha) and isn't meant for traveling at all. I had to learn it the hard way lol. Thank you again. Keep it up.

Check out the thirty two sequencer available for launchpad pro. It is a great standalone sequence. 32 steps x 32 tracks

Say I wanted to get a launchpad pro (mkii?) could I effectively use the scale mode to select notes on the squarp pyramid for midi learn step sequencing? And could I run my keyboard into the launchpad midi in and go through the launchpad so they can both control the pyramid?

is the notes played on the launchpad pro the same as the notes played when laoding just a short sound on the mk2 i want to know cause i've got a mk2 and want to play melodies but i can't figure out what plays what
It depends what program are you using for producing. I use FL Studio and FL gives note mode drum mode etc for every launchpad. For example I use note mode on Launchpad Mini MKII

There are now 3rd party sequencers to add to the Pro, this plus its midi out makes it a 'must have'.

the other modes in launchpad pro are not really necesary if you have external midi keyboards like radeon 49 for example.

There are also ordinary keyboards where you can set a scale and all the keys will stick to that scale (and mode, and transpose). Yet it's gonna take less time to actually play in C minor that learning those utility and switching all the time ;) Heck you can just place color tape on the keys.

I have a question
If I just want to use Launchpad to trigger samples, loops, drums and play instruments with Ableton, is mk2 enough?
Also, is mk2's pad need to be pressed down to trigger? Or is it the same with pro but without velocity sensening?

Hey Lin! The MK2 has more of a “button” rather than a pad. But it’s not bad, you can easily get used to it
what about the hackable mode :D? what can i detailed do with it?
Id like to know... Is there any way to play whit the launchpad like,in a bus for example, and just put some kind of earphones to just listen to the musique or we realy need a computer to play the sounds coming out of it?..
Hey Anthony, Well you can use something like the Launchpad Mini to play sounds off your IOS device instead of a laptop.. but at the end of the day you'll technically always need something connected to your Launch Pad in order to hear sounds. No sounds can be stored on any of the launchpads.
So say I wanted to download someone’s project to play it myself. Does having a launchpad mk2 prevent me from being able to do that at times? Or is the pro just more compatible with other hardware?

Yea if you want to get into lightshows or just basics in Ableton or other msuic making using a launchpad the MK2 (not pro) is a great place to start

I just bought a LaunchPad Pro due to your excellent video. But I can't figure out how to turn on the Vegas mode you have going in the video. What's the secret???
So that happens when nothing is actually plugged into the launch pad pro. You can fake it by plugging something into the midi input or just plugging the launch pad bro into the wall. Essentially when your computer is asleep and not sending any signal but is sending it power

Ableton has a great and really powerful Scale midi effect in their plug in section. Comes with almost all versions of it!
My launchpad mk2 doesent have that cable its different
Mahlil I lose and replace so many of my cables, haha. Luckily the USB cable doesn’t really matter. Whichever one comes with the box is probably “the best” one to use with your Launchpad. But 99% of the time shouldn’t affect how it works.

That's awesome! i think by it not being hackable, is that Novation actually provides the script for the pro to make it way easier to "hack" but im sure there are scripts out there for the MK2

Is it me or the buttons on the Launchpad Mk2 are easier to press? The Launchpad pro, I need to press harder to get the buttons to trigger
The launchpad MK2 are definitely more button like. The Pro has velocity sensitive pads and you can actually increase or decrease their sensitivity
Sorry to expose you: but with launchpad95 the Launchpad Pro becomes useless. This is a big point and you pay attention on this.
