She is correct though. Star Trek has all of that and more.
Periodically they would have these "Scraps" episodes, which were compilations of things that happened in rehearsal, so the only people there were the people working on the show. It was Jordan's job to keep coming up with things to say. Another thing they did sometimes were "cold opens" - short filmed introductions to the regular show. One great one was the Mad Max themed one for a show from Comic-con. Some others were Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad.

I think you guys missed the beginning card, hence the entire point of the skit: Jordan is just trying to keep talking, somehow, until Conan stops him. That’s the joke. It has nothing to do with “Star Wars vs. Star Trek.” He’s just trying to make Conan uncomfortable enough to stop him, so he has to keep ad-libbing on the spot.
They didn't miss it, they even referenced it later. This bit just wasn't funny, hence why it never made it out of rehearsal.

A critical element of the original series from the '60s was the Cold War, hence the interactions between the Federation & Klingons & Romulans. Dave just doesn't like space stuff. On the sly show Oscar some of Scott Manley's videos about space, or Tim Dodd the everyday astronaut, or Marcus House, or my current go to RUclips favs, NasaSpaceflight [NSF]. Or wow him with SpaceX's amazing coverage of IFT4, their recent launch of their 'starship', a 9m diameter 2 stage 100% re-usable rocket [100% re-usable after the integrated flight test regime is completed.] Also, you can watch SpaceX launch its Falcon 9 rocket about 2 to 3x/week - Per Mother f*!#*n WEEK, land the 1st stage, and reuse it again 4-6 weeks later. Oh, and Star Wars has a larger corpus of storylines...
Star Trek is just human society in a sci-fi format. That's why I don't like what Disney has done to Star Wars. Star Wars isn't supposed to reflect reality. It's supposed to be a fantasy escape, not touch on subjects we already have to deal with on a daily basis; subjects that, most often, people need a break from because they're boring and tiresome. It's not fun to be nagged by something you're supposed to enjoy as an escape.
Star Trek can deal with human struggles, race, strife, gender, unions, illegal organ trade, trafficking, addiction and all the other everyday problems we already have to deal with. Star Wars should just be dumb laser sword heroics and fun.

Star Trek universe is much more diverse than the SW universe. So many different planets and sets of circumstances.

The funniest part of your reaction is that you are feeding into the debate. There is no debate. Why would you even feed into a discussion over which is the superior science fiction story? I think Jordon is the one pulling everyone's leg in this time. Notice in the introduction how it's stated that Conan doesn't know that he's supposed to stop him.

Dave, I love you man, I truly do (you too Ash!), but that was momentarily blinding there for a second when I first hit play.
Who knows what in this rehearsal from Conan is actually in their own words. It could be all a script.
However, when Conan implies that Spock has no recognizable human emotions that is incorrect since humans themselves often display a lack of emotion. Therefore that is also human.
Though any argument Jordan says after he begins can be immediately discarded for the same reason he uses to negate Star Trek. Both are written by humans and neither is any more informed or uninformed in its imagined world than the other by that limitation.
Jordan also wants it both ways. And his own points can be used against each other. His logic is lost if it ever existed.
Battlestar Galactica makes both Star Trek and Star Wars look like muppet shows for children.
