- The Illinois Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the constitutionality of a state law ending cash bail, ordering implementation in mid-September.

I guess no one looked at Los Angeles County, where DA George Gascon decided to do away with bail for property crimes of less than $900. Criminals make sure each individual crime is less than $900 and it's a revolving door. Arrested, released, arrested, released. The other day there was a Dollar Tree where people were walking in, grabbing stuff and walking out. No wonder retailers are fed up.

Most low level crimes aka misdemeanor crimes I’m ok with a no cash bail system. Why because their low level crimes. Felony crimes should be a cash bail system
If they keep robbing businesses then those businesses close down and people lose their jobs. It should be based on if they are first time offenders and if they actually only stole to feed their family bc they’re out of a job, not bc they want to buy drugs or are a part of a ring.
