- Thursday night in Edgewater, city leaders told neighbors the Broadway Armory will serve as the city's newest shelter for migrants. The decision means many of the Park District's summer and fall programs at the Armory will have to be canceled or relocated.

Property ‘values’ will take a ‘nose dive’ big time. Property ‘taxes’ will ‘shoot up’ big time, increased crime and decreased resources for residents already in need. These residence don’t seem to understand the full repercussions of their decisions to allow migrants to be house in their neighborhoods.

I used to live in Edgewater and BA is a BIG thing. A lot of events taking place. I hate that the Mayor is pushing this on residents. We need to declare the city no longer a sanctuary city. I remember when ICE was arresting illegals and the city stopped that. Now we're getting what we sow. Those who are welcoming should open their homes to the migrants.
In Detroit, the city is turning their heads as illegal immigrants are moving into abandoned homes and fixing them up. The same homes that are off limits to blacks who would love to assume homes on our own blocks ., homes that we have been keeping up for years. Immigrants represent commerce to these mayors. Immigrants have made the south richer than the north in just 30 years! I was an eye witness to it in Georgia. Make no mistake about Atlanta being some black Mecca. The Latinos are doing much much more better than them. Our taxes has been used to allow another ethnic group to flourish in Amerikkka.

Sanctuary city means that the police do not ask the immigration status of anyone who is stopped for a traffic violation, or of a person being arrested.
A sanctuary city does not cooperate with ICE.
It has never meant that Chicago Would house and feed anyone who comes across our border.
The people who came across the border illegally ,if they came to Chicago it was because it was their destination.
They had family here, or friends or a job to come to. They never showed up looking for the taxpayers to house and feed them.

Also I would hope the City would Provide 24 Hour Police or National Guard Security at the Armory to insure that the At Risk Youth do not harass, intimidate, or abuse these Wonderful Newcomers to our City.
