History Hikes #1: Chelatchie Prairie Railroad 🚂🛤️

In this new series, I will take you on hikes and walks throughout the Portland region while sharing my knowledge of the area’s history.
Today, we’re exploring a portion of the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad near Yacolt, WA. This particular section is between Lucia and Moulton Falls.

Pretty close on your history here. I'm a local and live on this line and have studied up pretty far on this line with some friends and noticed just a few errors but overall good and informative video!
Edit: 211 is an SW1200 and yeah it definitely could use a freshening up but I still love it

Love the history especially the RR aspect of the NW. I visited some Navy friends in Portland around early 2000s. It was a beautiful area. I don’t feel safe in blue states so theses videos are a great way to re experience that part of the country.
