Thank you so much for making this video! I owned 2 Type Rs(one stock/one modified). The second one was unfortunately rear ended/totaled after FBO which is why I still have the FK8 turbo. I thought the only difference between the CTR and Accord 2.0t was the smaller turbo and different fuel injectors so I was planning on going with the Hondata fuel system,CTR turbo,E85 fuel lines,etc. but I saw your response that upgrading injectors wasn’t necessary. Interesting! I recently bought two 2.0t Accords that have only 19k and 9k in miles. I’m looking forward to the performance and sleeper potential of this platform! I think I may have to convert to K-Tuner since I noticed even John Vega at Phearable doesn’t seem to have any OTS tunes for Hondata( unless I missed something) and the Accord 2.0t which surprised me. I’m guessing that may have to do with the available maps that K-Tuner has…All good either way!😁👍

Yeah K tuner is the way to go over the JB4, it gives you more detailed options. I would've had it but they only sold 25 for the 21 TLX Type S & are currently working on more maps, so I'm curious how much my car will push out
The question is how long will the transmission survive for at those power levels ? PRL stated that it starting slipping at north of 410 wheel torque. The 10 speed auto that is.
As much as I wish I can have those numbers, I couldn’t afford to keep up that amount of maintenance. But great video 🐐💯 maybe someday. I would be happy to just be in the 340-350hp area. Recommendations ?

Excellent information Gianny. Why is the Ktuner necessary over the Hondata tune? I've had the Hondata stage 2 for a couple of years. I'm considering additional upgrades so I'm not opposed to switching to Ktuner if necessary. I'd like to have around 350-400hp. As of now I can't keep the tires hooked from a launch in 2nd gear at 5500' elevation so I guess wheels should come next haha. I'm running Yokohama GTX 17" on stock EX-L wheels
Reason why i recommend Ktuned over Hondata is b/c specifically on the Accord, Ktuner seems to make 40-50 more HP on the same set up when tested before by some of my friends in PR. As far as tires try the federals RS-RR i used to hooked pretty well with them at 440whp & 440tq, also upgrade your suspension to eliminate wheel hop!
Great job, Gianny! If you plan on running exotic fuels, I would highly recommend that you guys get a proper oil such as the Royal Purple XPR. That's all folks.:)
Did you ever consider putting ARP Type R head studs? I had my head gasket blow and my heads warped at 40k miles FBO and e30. Trying to see if that would help
I never did but yes that would help. MT has a few Accords now running 36-37 psi of boost and we have instructed some of them to get headstuds installed

That's a great turbo, install Aem meth injection kit and with a custom tune on a 1000cc nozzle you should be 440-460whp. If you don't wanna go over 400who you can install a small nozzle for the meth injection 250-500cc and you'll make less power
Question on the exhaust I’m running ballade careless downpipe with borla catback with out the muffler so straight pipe. But it’s to loud so if I were to put the muffler on do you think it would make it quieter and not super obnoxious

Not at all, k20c4 can handle upper 400s HP to the wheels no problem. What you mentioned on a custom tune E30 you'll make low 300s so nothing to worry about

How are you hooking with that much power and the 10 speed since there are no limited slip differentials out there? My C6 Corvette spin slightly with drag radials and it has LSD...
@@ahmadmorrow2749 all downpipes as long as they're catless will gain about the same HP, so just go with the most affordable one and use the extra money to buy other parts💪🏽

FBO E30 mix on stock turbo is 330s to the wheel on a custom tune! Can do all that for around just 2.5k🔥

Yes direct swap, you just need to get the fk8 turbo swap kit from PRL, tbst sale kit spplies for the bigger turbos as well

Full bolt ons and custom tuned on e30 you'll be around 330whp

For the money, tre Federal RS-RR can't be beat. When i had 470ish HP i ran an 11.5 1/4 mile with a 1.93 60ft on those street tires lol.

In theory should be doable, Id you have an AWD model thoe power levels will be around 5% lower due to more drivetrain loss on a awd car

@@843_DAUNO unfortunately no, stock turbo maxes out at 330s HP. You can buy an OEM fk8 turbo for like 600 bucks and make 350-400hp

In the street i just play with the gas pedal, 4.2 was my best 0-60. At the track with drag radials i could launch it harder and do a 3.5 0-60

Better off selling the 1.5t and buying a 2.0t to build up from there. You arent going to get the same reliability out of the 1.5 at that power level.
