I was recently diagnosed with moderate to sever high frequency hearing loss. I thought 'can the Q30 correct for that?' Armed with the graph of my ears frequency response I created a mirror image in the headphone equalizer (i.e. where frequency hearing goes DOWN, on my custom equalizer setting it goes UP) . Holy god almighty, the clarity I suddenly had, l never realized how muddy music all sounded until I used these to correct for my bad ears. I'm listening to songs where I now realize there are entire instruments that I could not even hear, or hadn't heard in years and years. The noise cancellation is amazing but the built in equalizer makes this headphones indispensable for me now.
Soundcore are my go to company for travel headphones now, the battery life is outstanding, they charge so quick, EQ to lower the bass slightly and up the high’s a little, and for €80? Also goes on sale for a little less sometimes, the best “bang for the buck” travel headphones out there imo
I've gotten these, they're perfect in nearly all aspects: easy pairing, GREAT sound quality, very very comfortable, noise cancelling especially on planes is spot on, wired and wireless mode (wired mode can work with and without battery) But quick down points: - Ears can get very warm after prolonged use in a warm-ish room. - the plastic around the adjusters broke a bit after a fall, though nothing hurting the actual headphones. - the clasping pressure is weak, in my opinion, so not so great for workouts, but just moving around is perfectly fine.
@@andre-x1 I haven't tried them on commute/gym but with a noisy crowd it does work relatively well (not perfect), I'm not sure with music such as ones being played in gyms.
It’s so nice to have so many wireless audio options from a company that has been well known for power accessories and banks and stuff. Lots of battery life is what we all want :D

When testing headphones, no matter if sponsored or not, I would love seeing them being tested by several different people. Like people with smaller heads, bigger heads, glasses, etc. The issue is that it is really hard to find out what really works for you, the HyperX Cloud 2 (my second ones) took 9 months to feel comfortable, until then they started to hurt within 2 to 3 hours thanks to my glasses. Other people with bigger heads may also find them unconvertable and may prefer "looser" ones, that just fit better for their head and are similarly firm to them as a firm headset is to someone with a smaller head. A cool thing to test would be running, like on a treadmill. So people who want to make the pain of running for 1 hour go away a little bit, know if these actually hold while running or not. Not that you should do it for that time, but usually you know within a minute if they will hold or not.
You don't wanna run with these, they are pretty comfortable for me even with glasses on but I also realised my ears were kind of getting damp with sweat, it's gonna be real bad if you're running with these. I also have pretty big ears and a pretty big head if that helps with your decision
@@xuyukun123 Jesus where do you live? I have the q20s so the setup is pretty normal and have never had any sweat. I wear them for up to 8-9 hours a day.
@@xuyukun123 You should expect your ears sweating when you buy an over ear headphones, it's an issue in all of them since your ears are sitting inside the ear pads for hours. :P
@@headlight31 They are super bassy, which was too much for me, so I had to return them. Q20+s and Q30s, on the other hand, can be EQ'd with Anker's Soundcore app.
@@xentiment6581 He was wearing the hd 650 iirc, not hd600. And you cannot really compare the two. One is for critical listening that needs an amp to drive and a quiet place to listen and is double the price, the other one is for bluetooth and portable use
Great headphones for the money. I use mine for work (in office). They cut out A LOT of the background noise. Being able to hook Bluetooth up to my laptop and my phone is also great. Microphone is decent, but picks up others talking nearby a bit too much. Sound is very solid. They definitely aren’t audiophile grade or anything but also nowhere even close to bad enough to notice, I’d go so far as to say they sound pretty good. Battery life is also not joke, can easily do a week in the office on one charge.
You definitely need to use a good custom EQ to make the Q30s sound great! If anyone is interested, I've recently posted a video on the custom EQ settings I use that give a lovely balanced response!
Bought the next in line, Q35s, and they are AWESOME! I was hesitant, yes, but the amount of customization for filters age everything. My ears are very happy with these :)
Is it just me or the frequency of LMG videos increased. The last few days, they are releasing at least one video every day. Sometimes two. Tremendous speed. Really Good content. Bravo!
Well the main LTT channel has been on a one vid a day schedule for a long time, combine that with the increasing amount of side channels like this and yeah you get 2-3 a day usually

They're definitely good. I bought them without any research and I'm super happy with them. The sound can be adjusted to any musical sound preference and saved. The noise cancelling is quite astonishing but then again its my first pair of ANC headphones. For me it's all about comfort and sound quality and this has that in spades along with other features I didn't realize I wanted to much like phat ass battery life and insanely fast charging. The microphones seem to work quite well for calls and voice chat when gaming on a computer and I'm excited to plug them into my amp and see how my Epi Les Paul sounds with them.

@@victorstriga They've got a 3.5mm plug in them. It's the only pair of headphones I use when I'm recording anything as well. The only negative thing I can really say is that if you've got semi long hair and you're leaning forward, with the smooth material the padding is made out of, they like to slide forward on your head. It's the only negative I have about the headphones whatsoever.

@@mmmnnnmmmm I'm not sure about the equilizer I've never tested it. ANC works they just have to be powered on. And since I use an aux chord with it for guitar idk about latency for guitar. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a bit as that's just the nature of Bluetooth.
@@SSlayaa I know right! Even my Sennheiser HD 4.40s sound noticeably better in Bluetooth mode. These headphone manufacturers must have really tuned the DAC/Amps to the drivers they use. Had you told me in 2010 that I'd willingly choose a Bluetooth headphone over wired pair, I'd have told you you were crazy.

Honestly they should sound better if they're meant to be Bluetooth. Plugging in Bluetooth headphones in the 3.5mm jack on my v60 would most likely bust them over a good amount of time lol
I have these and love them. And I use Transparency mode a surprising amount. I use these during dialysis treatments to block the loud room hum and the 30 annoying machine alarms beeping loudly.
I had the q30 for like 9 months and I will say I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The sound quality is very nice, the bass is there, the sound is very clear and high notes also sounded good. The build quality is really good for the price. The metal headband feels very premium, the plastic is smooth to the touch, although a little flimsy. Fit is ok, just a little tight sometimes and the earpads sometimes build up heat in your ears. The anc is alright, It mainly filters low frequency noises such as airplane engine, car engine, and other general low-range sound. On an airplane it filters out like 70% of the noise. The weakness is when eliminating high pitched sound tho, like conversations, music, etc. The touchpad on the sides works fine. I had no issues with connection range, which is very good and stable. Overall, very excellent value for money
I'm glad they went with physical buttons. The design team likely thinks a touch pad would be an upgrade but I can't count how many times I've accidentally skipped to a different track with my Sony XM3 ANC headphones.
I LOVE my Q35's and like Linus states, the transparency mode is really good at not only giving you transparency but amplifying nearby noises (Which has already saved my bacon when running at night by hearing two lads coming up behind me) on top of just giving me a heads up that someone might be about to pass me on an e-bike or e-scooter. I already loved my Q35's but after that night out running and them giving me plenty of notice that people were coming up behind me as fast (and thankfully overconfident in how quiet they needed to be) likely also saving my Q35's in the process 😅 The App's improved a lot over time too.
Still doesn't mean that these headphones aren't great and packed with modern features for their price. You really wouldn't expect this from headphones at this price
My 2 years experience: After 2 years of using the Soundcore Life Q35 (the Q35 is blue, the Q30 is black, but they're essentially the same), the narrow plastic on both sides of the headband broke while I was taking the headphones off. This happened because, when widening the headphones to remove them, the metal top stretches and pushes against the plastic. Over time, this causes wear and eventually leads to breakage. I doubt they'll offer a refund or repair, as they'll likely claim this is mechanical damage caused by me (I have had similar experiences before with other products, like mice). Maybe I just have a wide head or something? definitely not big, because I extend headphones band just a bit. To prevent further damage, I wrapped duct tape around the plastic and metal top. It's not very noticeable. I like my headphones, no hissing, noise canceling is super natural, and you can talk with people in transit, everything is just more peaceful. At the begging sound was bad but after applying Oluv EQ preset (or Cow NC - similar) sound is awesome. Previously I had sennheiser hd 4.40 bt.
I'm seeing a lot of reviews on Amazon with the same issue, that the plastic breaks above the earcups. That is why I'm a bit hesitant to buy them. What should I do?
I received my pair of Q30s last week and I am very impressed with the price to value ratio. The Bluetooth multipoint pairing is a big plus for me since I usually switch between my phone and laptop.

@@lorenzogreco3014 I don't have any sound hissing or any other noise for that matter, the sound is clear and crisp. It's probably due to outdated sound drivers on your pc.
@@shipwreck9146 They're holding up pretty well, I still recommend them. The only mild annoyance I have found is when 2 devices are connected at the same time, sometimes the volume level changes. For example, if I'm watching a movie on my laptop my volume will gradually decrease/increase to the same level as my phone. The workaround is to disconnect me phone. It doesn't happen all the time but I just thought I'd mention it
I have these for business travel. The batteries last forever and have cables for charging and to plug into a sound port on a plane or PC. I like them very much!
Ive become a huge fan of ankers soundcore line of products over last few years. Their products are quality on builds and usually the sound and features of all of the headphones and earbuds ive owned have all been very good
I own the Q20 and they've been one of my favorite headphones I've ever had. I've owned a wide variety of different headphones (including the audio technica ath-m50x, which were my go to set for years). I got these because I wanted a nice bluetooth set I could wear while walking. I live near a busy road and honestly I don't hear any of it really with these on. Compared to the Bluedio T6s, it was night and day. Bluedio just fills your ears with a staticy sound in hopes of drowning out the background noise. When it all becomes a dull roar anyways, there's not a lot of room for fine detail in the music. Anker got it right with this set. Most budget sets go for booming bass....but the other details get crushed. My Q20s, while not perfect, are the sort of headphone that makes you want to listen to music, just because of how nice they are. The microphone is more than acceptable, a first for any budget bluetooth set I've owned. I may not have much experience of the Q30, but when my only complaint about the Q20 was that it wasnt USB C, I don't see any other real contenders that could go against it in the budget segment.
I don't know when it came out, but there is a version with USB C these days. It is known as the Q20+ and otherwise, USB C should be mentioned/shown in the product's description. It is €10 more than the Q20 on their website, but probably worth the convenience. Edit: it also supports their app. Which gives you access to firmware updates (if available) and access to the EQ.
@@zachkeyson9851 they're completely different headphones. I really wouldn't recommend the Soundcores for studio usage as I think their soundstage is too narrow. What the Audio Technica's have in their favor is how balanced they are. This is fantastic for mixing because you don't want your headphones colouring the sound too much. However, depending on the genres you listen to, music can sound a little boring on it. It's one of those "if it can sound good here it'll sound good on most headphones" type of deal. A decent studio tool, but not amazing for personal use. The Soundcores have a narrower sound stage, trebles aren't quite as crisp, but you get a much more enjoyable rumble out of the bass (not unrefined like beats however). I also much prefer the natural sound isolation of the Soundcores. They're more comfortable to wear for long periods. The Audio-Technicas made my head really warm, and they always felt just a little loose, they wouldn't pass the head shake test. The Soundcores can be worn for hours at a time just fine (which I do for my gaming sessions when my partner is asleep). They pass the shake test, mostly. Essentially, if you're using it for mixing and mastering, go for the Audio-Technica, if just for personal use probably go for the Soundcore.
Linus talks like it's the first time he has seen headphones, but knows everything about tech. I've also made some headphone reviews, but as seen on my playlists I also don't know much about them lmao
The audio reviews on LMG channels are terrible. They need to hire an audiophile as their next writer. I get this is a sponsored showcase, but even then the audio reviews lack depth. Focus seems too much on convenience features like quick charging and USB C jacks instead of more critical things like sound quality, audio range (whether audio is balanced, flat, warm or bass heavy), frequency response and wear comfort.
@@arvindravindranath audiophile reviews are for...audiophiles. quality of life features are more important for casuals, which is a bigger chunk of the market.

I just got the Q30s today and boy oh boy am I impressed with the sound. The headphones are comfy, noise cancelling is great and overall a great value for the money headphones. Only downside I would say the covering the right earcup for turning transparency/noise cancelling mode on and off can be quite annoying and fidgity. Otherwise I'm overall very happy with my purchase of the Q30s.
Own these and love em... for under $80.00 bucks good luck finding some Bluetooth cans that can beat these in sound and features. And yes, I've listened to the Bose and Sony's as far as sound goes these sound the same or better if you eq them to you liking (with the soundcore app).
Yes, with a custom EQ (see Oluv's gadgets for a good recommended neutral EQ), the Q30 is an exceptional sounding headset. For pure sound quality, the better purchase over the Q35. In terms of ANC/Ambient...its is also very good. NOT Sony/Apple good insofar as ANC/ambient. Only about 75% ANC compared to the class leaders. However, in terms of BT sound quality (w/custom EQ), it is class leading IMHO.
I've been using a Soundcore BT speaker for years, a big and tiny model, it's really a good brand in my book. I'll keep these in mind if my current BT headset ever decides to finally give up :)
I have had a very good experience with all of my Anker-Soundcore products...the Q30, Motion+ (BT speaker), and Life P3's (TWS 'earbuds). All use the SAME app, which is a class leading app insofar we functionality, custom EQ, and GUI.
Yea, good ANC headphones are so expensive that I've never considered them because I rarely travel (long distance), but for $85 this might be a great purchase even if you rarely use it.
I wonder how they sound and how good the ANC is compared to my Sony WH-1000 XM4 headphones. I only bought them for around the house so I could block out most outside and tv sounds from inside the house so I could watch and listen to stuff in my room without being disturbed by other stuff and they do great. If I have music on I don't even hear people knocking on my bedroom door unless they are really pounding on it lol.
@@WyattOShea lol you cant compare them, very different price point. but usally cheaper ANC headphones struggle to handle sudden and/or high pitched noise. just depends on your environment.
Got em for 62 bucks. Great deal. Standard EQ in Normal mode is eh... well a bit bass-heavy to my liking, but I'll probably get that tuned quite a bit. The noise cancellation mode actually doesn't sound bad.
Good one, that plus acoustic are the best preset EQs when for most uses imho. I now have some custom ones going for both ANC and normal mode but honestly for the money it's impressive.
I've been rocking the Anker Soundcore Life Dot 2's (quite the mouthful) for like 4 months, after replacing my Airpods V1 and I'm SUPER impressed. Been using thier battery banks for a few years and decided to give their headphones a try. Did not disappoint!

@@lorenzogreco3014 Hey Lorenzo - works okay for me. Only issue I've had is that they don't connect with some devices - like a MacBook. You have to force the Bluetooth connection. Other than that, they work fine for Bluetooth and Aux. Definitely contact Soundcore, their support team are really helpful
Best thing about them, for me - is the multi-point bluetooth. I use them for SfB/Teams calls all day with my laptop, whilst also having them connected to my personal mobile for music/everything else. I've been pretty happy with them so far. The mic quality was pretty shoddy before the update to v1.80, now it's decent. Now I am no longer tethered to my desk with a USB headset, so can sneak off to make a cuppa in the kitchen during a meeting. :D
NFC pairing is really nice on headphones that can only connect to one device at the time, helps you quick pair do different devices (ie: Every sony Wh1000-Xm generation except the lastest one)

Since I have used the Q10s, I am very impressed with what you get for the price. They were so good that the only fault I could nitpick was the startup and shutdown sounds.

I got the Soundcore wireless earbuds and they're really really fantastic. Like.. shockingly good for the $70 CAD I paid. That was a year ago too, so probably they're even better now.

How is delay? Last time I looked into wireless crap for some reason called headsets it had like 0.5sec delay of sound. I do not read lips, but when I see movement I expect sound immediately. When I see gunshot/explosion I expect sound!
I have the Sony's new XM4 and they have a hardware problem with sensitivity while on NC. Returning them for these. I love the XM4's but that hissing sound is a deal breaker. How it's been so far for you?... any cons?..
I own the Q30's and with custom EQ, they are terrific. ANC is pretty good, at about 75% of class leading (e.g. Sony, Apple). More than adequate for my home office or air travel use cases. To get full benefit of quality sources I am also using a FiiO BTA30 Pro bluetooth 5.0 transmitter (~$120), which can deliver LDAC/AptxHD/AAC/SBC from my Win10 Pro PC with either its USB-C or Optical inputs. At about $70~$80, the Q30 is a terrific performer that swings well above its price point. IMHO, and subject to proper custom EQ, it has better sound quality that the more expensive Q35.
Linus you said you would use iPhone 12 Mini as your daily driver, but I can see you're still using an iPhone 12 Pro. Please keep your word and make us happy :(
I just bought a pair and they’ve okay. My only issue is you can’t change a song track on the speakers. They should have a skip or back button or tap on the actual headphones cup. The sound is very good and i like the base, though i don’t play my music loud to save my eardrums anyway. Noise canceling is very good.
I got the Life Q10s about two years ago and they have presented some of the greatest audio quality for the price. Really fine control on the mids and big bass. I did suffer a bit with the stock EQ favoring bass but my ears acclimated to them in a short amount of time. They are a bit heavy, causing a serious headphone divot. Yet you can't beat the $30 price that I picked them up for. The build quality was decent enough; however, about 18 months in, the left earcup peeled off, exposing the green foam underneath. This wasn't that much of an issue, though, since I had two years' warranty and got a replacement pair. The EQ on the new pair was even more bass-heavy but just as comfortable and am still using them daily (up to 10 days on a single full charge!)
@rocknrollmachine2289 Unlike the Q20 or higher, you cannot configure the EQ curve in the Soundcore app. There might be a way to flash a cracked firmware but out of the box you just need to not hit the bass boost button
I have the soundcore Q10 which Don't have active noise cancellation but even then it's really great for sound isolation and the bass is heavy which can also be adjusted in the EQ.
The 40mm driver feature was a subtle nudge to its posh distant relative, the MDRs. The V60 has been, is, and will always be the universal standard reference, in my opinion.
My only issue with Anker over ear headphones is that the band and frames of the headphone are easily broken. I’ve already had two kinds of anker over ear the 1st one is the Q10 and the other one is the Anker Space NC. And I have same experience on both of the. Though, their sounds are great. I wish Anker would make a more sturdy one.
guys if you re goign to buy exact this model beware: i ve been using this for almost 2 years. its a quite budget friendly but not that sturdy headphone. it cracked in several places. so you have to patch it up. overall; anc is ok, soundquality is above -average. if you re on a really tight budget.dont buy look for other alternatives. i m not sure about the latest headphone models but
I resisted over-the-ear headphones for a long time because they pressed the arms of my glasses into my head, but the noise canceling is good enough on the Q30s that their looser fit is more than good enough so I'm a convert!
Most flights are full because airlines have massively cut the number of flights. The industry can't afford to fly fewer full planes as it is much less more mostly empty planes.

They are right -- overall exposure is probably less with *one* flight versus and entire road trip + public bathroom spots + food stops (also more public exposure) + staying at hotels (again, more exposure) etc. People often don't think this Covid stuff fully through when giving recommendation or even when our politicians or "experts" make restrictions. Sometimes stuff becomes counter-productive passed a certain point.
@@username8644 That misses the point of only flying with NEED. For say, business. Which would generally put you up in a hotel anyway if business flights are even still happening. If you are going to fly to a place that would require a multi-day drive and other such exposures to the outside for a family get-together (holiday party, wedding, etc.) or anything outside of sating the need for food, water, and shelter... Don't go. Unless said going is going to your home. That's life during COVID-19.
@@rohanr5150 You do realize that airlines have covid procedures, right? I'm guessing you haven't flown in the pandemic. I've flown twice and they take their precautions very seriously. For example, one of the airlines I was on remodeled their planes to bring in new air every once in a while so particles aren't flying around incase someone is actually sick.

Bought these last year upgrading from my q20's. Sound is really great, but the build quality is terrible. Both left and right side are cracked because of bending them too much. Such a shame because i really liked them. Only reason i wouldn't buy them again is because of the build quality.

I agree that tuned 40mm drivers are better, but it has 40mm drivers, which means the dynamic range is pretty good. Not great, but good... for $80. I'm wondering if ANC works in wired mode.

Armed with the graph of my ears frequency response I created a mirror image in the headphone equalizer (i.e. where frequency hearing goes DOWN, on my custom equalizer setting it goes UP) . Holy god almighty, the clarity I suddenly had, l never realized how muddy music all sounded until I used these to correct for my bad ears. I'm listening to songs where I now realize there are entire instruments that I could not even hear, or hadn't heard in years and years. The noise cancellation is amazing but the built in equalizer makes this headphones indispensable for me now.

I've gotten these, they're perfect in nearly all aspects: easy pairing, GREAT sound quality, very very comfortable, noise cancelling especially on planes is spot on, wired and wireless mode (wired mode can work with and without battery)
But quick down points:
- Ears can get very warm after prolonged use in a warm-ish room.
- the plastic around the adjusters broke a bit after a fall, though nothing hurting the actual headphones.
- the clasping pressure is weak, in my opinion, so not so great for workouts, but just moving around is perfectly fine.
I workout in them and they're fine for me.
How are this on the outside like a bus, train, gym etc... is the noise canceling good?

When testing headphones, no matter if sponsored or not, I would love seeing them being tested by several different people.
Like people with smaller heads, bigger heads, glasses, etc.
The issue is that it is really hard to find out what really works for you, the HyperX Cloud 2 (my second ones) took 9 months to feel comfortable, until then they started to hurt within 2 to 3 hours thanks to my glasses.
Other people with bigger heads may also find them unconvertable and may prefer "looser" ones, that just fit better for their head and are similarly firm to them as a firm headset is to someone with a smaller head.
A cool thing to test would be running, like on a treadmill. So people who want to make the pain of running for 1 hour go away a little bit, know if these actually hold while running or not.
Not that you should do it for that time, but usually you know within a minute if they will hold or not.
You don't wanna run with these, they are pretty comfortable for me even with glasses on but I also realised my ears were kind of getting damp with sweat, it's gonna be real bad if you're running with these.
I also have pretty big ears and a pretty big head if that helps with your decision

Great headphones for the money. I use mine for work (in office). They cut out A LOT of the background noise. Being able to hook Bluetooth up to my laptop and my phone is also great. Microphone is decent, but picks up others talking nearby a bit too much. Sound is very solid. They definitely aren’t audiophile grade or anything but also nowhere even close to bad enough to notice, I’d go so far as to say they sound pretty good. Battery life is also not joke, can easily do a week in the office on one charge.

They're definitely good. I bought them without any research and I'm super happy with them. The sound can be adjusted to any musical sound preference and saved. The noise cancelling is quite astonishing but then again its my first pair of ANC headphones. For me it's all about comfort and sound quality and this has that in spades along with other features I didn't realize I wanted to much like phat ass battery life and insanely fast charging. The microphones seem to work quite well for calls and voice chat when gaming on a computer and I'm excited to plug them into my amp and see how my Epi Les Paul sounds with them.

@@victorstriga They've got a 3.5mm plug in them. It's the only pair of headphones I use when I'm recording anything as well. The only negative thing I can really say is that if you've got semi long hair and you're leaning forward, with the smooth material the padding is made out of, they like to slide forward on your head. It's the only negative I have about the headphones whatsoever.

@@SSlayaa I know right! Even my Sennheiser HD 4.40s sound noticeably better in Bluetooth mode. These headphone manufacturers must have really tuned the DAC/Amps to the drivers they use. Had you told me in 2010 that I'd willingly choose a Bluetooth headphone over wired pair, I'd have told you you were crazy.

I have these and love them. And I use Transparency mode a surprising amount. I use these during dialysis treatments to block the loud room hum and the 30 annoying machine alarms beeping loudly.

I had the q30 for like 9 months and I will say I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The sound quality is very nice, the bass is there, the sound is very clear and high notes also sounded good. The build quality is really good for the price. The metal headband feels very premium, the plastic is smooth to the touch, although a little flimsy. Fit is ok, just a little tight sometimes and the earpads sometimes build up heat in your ears. The anc is alright, It mainly filters low frequency noises such as airplane engine, car engine, and other general low-range sound. On an airplane it filters out like 70% of the noise. The weakness is when eliminating high pitched sound tho, like conversations, music, etc. The touchpad on the sides works fine. I had no issues with connection range, which is very good and stable. Overall, very excellent value for money

I'm glad they went with physical buttons. The design team likely thinks a touch pad would be an upgrade but I can't count how many times I've accidentally skipped to a different track with my Sony XM3 ANC headphones.
I LOVE my Q35's and like Linus states, the transparency mode is really good at not only giving you transparency but amplifying nearby noises (Which has already saved my bacon when running at night by hearing two lads coming up behind me) on top of just giving me a heads up that someone might be about to pass me on an e-bike or e-scooter. I already loved my Q35's but after that night out running and them giving me plenty of notice that people were coming up behind me as fast (and thankfully overconfident in how quiet they needed to be) likely also saving my Q35's in the process 😅 The App's improved a lot over time too.

My 2 years experience:
After 2 years of using the Soundcore Life Q35 (the Q35 is blue, the Q30 is black, but they're essentially the same), the narrow plastic on both sides of the headband broke while I was taking the headphones off. This happened because, when widening the headphones to remove them, the metal top stretches and pushes against the plastic. Over time, this causes wear and eventually leads to breakage. I doubt they'll offer a refund or repair, as they'll likely claim this is mechanical damage caused by me (I have had similar experiences before with other products, like mice). Maybe I just have a wide head or something? definitely not big, because I extend headphones band just a bit.
To prevent further damage, I wrapped duct tape around the plastic and metal top. It's not very noticeable.
I like my headphones, no hissing, noise canceling is super natural, and you can talk with people in transit, everything is just more peaceful.
At the begging sound was bad but after applying Oluv EQ preset (or Cow NC - similar) sound is awesome. Previously I had sennheiser hd 4.40 bt.
I had the same issue, I used super glue but after only a month the cheap plastic broke again in a new area; in the garbage with them!!

The only mild annoyance I have found is when 2 devices are connected at the same time, sometimes the volume level changes. For example, if I'm watching a movie on my laptop my volume will gradually decrease/increase to the same level as my phone. The workaround is to disconnect me phone.
It doesn't happen all the time but I just thought I'd mention it
I have these for business travel. The batteries last forever and have cables for charging and to plug into a sound port on a plane or PC. I like them very much!

Ive become a huge fan of ankers soundcore line of products over last few years. Their products are quality on builds and usually the sound and features of all of the headphones and earbuds ive owned have all been very good
I own the Q20 and they've been one of my favorite headphones I've ever had. I've owned a wide variety of different headphones (including the audio technica ath-m50x, which were my go to set for years).
I got these because I wanted a nice bluetooth set I could wear while walking. I live near a busy road and honestly I don't hear any of it really with these on. Compared to the Bluedio T6s, it was night and day. Bluedio just fills your ears with a staticy sound in hopes of drowning out the background noise. When it all becomes a dull roar anyways, there's not a lot of room for fine detail in the music. Anker got it right with this set.
Most budget sets go for booming bass....but the other details get crushed. My Q20s, while not perfect, are the sort of headphone that makes you want to listen to music, just because of how nice they are.
The microphone is more than acceptable, a first for any budget bluetooth set I've owned.
I may not have much experience of the Q30, but when my only complaint about the Q20 was that it wasnt USB C, I don't see any other real contenders that could go against it in the budget segment.
I don't know when it came out, but there is a version with USB C these days. It is known as the Q20+ and otherwise, USB C should be mentioned/shown in the product's description. It is €10 more than the Q20 on their website, but probably worth the convenience.
Edit: it also supports their app. Which gives you access to firmware updates (if available) and access to the EQ.
How was the q30 compared to the m50x?, sound quality wise
@@zachkeyson9851 they're completely different headphones. I really wouldn't recommend the Soundcores for studio usage as I think their soundstage is too narrow.
What the Audio Technica's have in their favor is how balanced they are. This is fantastic for mixing because you don't want your headphones colouring the sound too much. However, depending on the genres you listen to, music can sound a little boring on it. It's one of those "if it can sound good here it'll sound good on most headphones" type of deal. A decent studio tool, but not amazing for personal use. The Soundcores have a narrower sound stage, trebles aren't quite as crisp, but you get a much more enjoyable rumble out of the bass (not unrefined like beats however).
I also much prefer the natural sound isolation of the Soundcores. They're more comfortable to wear for long periods. The Audio-Technicas made my head really warm, and they always felt just a little loose, they wouldn't pass the head shake test. The Soundcores can be worn for hours at a time just fine (which I do for my gaming sessions when my partner is asleep). They pass the shake test, mostly.
Essentially, if you're using it for mixing and mastering, go for the Audio-Technica, if just for personal use probably go for the Soundcore.

The audio reviews on LMG channels are terrible. They need to hire an audiophile as their next writer. I get this is a sponsored showcase, but even then the audio reviews lack depth. Focus seems too much on convenience features like quick charging and USB C jacks instead of more critical things like sound quality, audio range (whether audio is balanced, flat, warm or bass heavy), frequency response and wear comfort.

I just got the Q30s today and boy oh boy am I impressed with the sound. The headphones are comfy, noise cancelling is great and overall a great value for the money headphones. Only downside I would say the covering the right earcup for turning transparency/noise cancelling mode on and off can be quite annoying and fidgity. Otherwise I'm overall very happy with my purchase of the Q30s.
Own these and love em... for under $80.00 bucks good luck finding some Bluetooth cans that can beat these in sound and features. And yes, I've listened to the Bose and Sony's as far as sound goes these sound the same or better if you eq them to you liking (with the soundcore app).
Yes, with a custom EQ (see Oluv's gadgets for a good recommended neutral EQ), the Q30 is an exceptional sounding headset. For pure sound quality, the better purchase over the Q35. In terms of ANC/Ambient...its is also very good. NOT Sony/Apple good insofar as ANC/ambient. Only about 75% ANC compared to the class leaders. However, in terms of BT sound quality (w/custom EQ), it is class leading IMHO.
I've been using a Soundcore BT speaker for years, a big and tiny model, it's really a good brand in my book. I'll keep these in mind if my current BT headset ever decides to finally give up :)
I have had a very good experience with all of my Anker-Soundcore products...the Q30, Motion+ (BT speaker), and Life P3's (TWS 'earbuds). All use the SAME app, which is a class leading app insofar we functionality, custom EQ, and GUI.

Got em for 62 bucks. Great deal. Standard EQ in Normal mode is eh... well a bit bass-heavy to my liking, but I'll probably get that tuned quite a bit. The noise cancellation mode actually doesn't sound bad.
Yeah, the default EQ is pretty bad for me, I use the Piano preset, it is soo good, I suggest you try it.
Good one, that plus acoustic are the best preset EQs when for most uses imho. I now have some custom ones going for both ANC and normal mode but honestly for the money it's impressive.

@@lorenzogreco3014 Hey Lorenzo - works okay for me. Only issue I've had is that they don't connect with some devices - like a MacBook. You have to force the Bluetooth connection. Other than that, they work fine for Bluetooth and Aux. Definitely contact Soundcore, their support team are really helpful

Best thing about them, for me - is the multi-point bluetooth. I use them for SfB/Teams calls all day with my laptop, whilst also having them connected to my personal mobile for music/everything else. I've been pretty happy with them so far. The mic quality was pretty shoddy before the update to v1.80, now it's decent. Now I am no longer tethered to my desk with a USB headset, so can sneak off to make a cuppa in the kitchen during a meeting. :D
NFC pairing is really nice on headphones that can only connect to one device at the time, helps you quick pair do different devices (ie: Every sony Wh1000-Xm generation except the lastest one)

@@shipwreck9146 the only problem I’ve had is that one of the arms that holds the earcups broke, but I have a friend who got some as well around the same time and he didn’t have a problem

Since I have used the Q10s, I am very impressed with what you get for the price.
They were so good that the only fault I could nitpick was the startup and shutdown sounds.

I got the Soundcore wireless earbuds and they're really really fantastic. Like.. shockingly good for the $70 CAD I paid. That was a year ago too, so probably they're even better now.
and the eq is not that weird one or only few bands, but actually allows you to easily tweak a 8 band eq

How is delay? Last time I looked into wireless crap for some reason called headsets it had like 0.5sec delay of sound. I do not read lips, but when I see movement I expect sound immediately. When I see gunshot/explosion I expect sound!
I have the Sony's new XM4 and they have a hardware problem with sensitivity while on NC. Returning them for these. I love the XM4's but that hissing sound is a deal breaker. How it's been so far for you?... any cons?..
@@zemi2750 I don’t hear anything like a hissing noise and the noise canceling work well for me.
I own the Q30's and with custom EQ, they are terrific. ANC is pretty good, at about 75% of class leading (e.g. Sony, Apple). More than adequate for my home office or air travel use cases. To get full benefit of quality sources I am also using a FiiO BTA30 Pro bluetooth 5.0 transmitter (~$120), which can deliver LDAC/AptxHD/AAC/SBC from my Win10 Pro PC with either its USB-C or Optical inputs. At about $70~$80, the Q30 is a terrific performer that swings well above its price point. IMHO, and subject to proper custom EQ, it has better sound quality that the more expensive Q35.

I just bought a pair and they’ve okay. My only issue is you can’t change a song track on the speakers. They should have a skip or back button or tap on the actual headphones cup. The sound is very good and i like the base, though i don’t play my music loud to save my eardrums anyway. Noise canceling is very good.
long press the volume + or - button, and it would skip to the next song or previous song respectively.
I got the Life Q10s about two years ago and they have presented some of the greatest audio quality for the price. Really fine control on the mids and big bass. I did suffer a bit with the stock EQ favoring bass but my ears acclimated to them in a short amount of time. They are a bit heavy, causing a serious headphone divot. Yet you can't beat the $30 price that I picked them up for. The build quality was decent enough; however, about 18 months in, the left earcup peeled off, exposing the green foam underneath. This wasn't that much of an issue, though, since I had two years' warranty and got a replacement pair. The EQ on the new pair was even more bass-heavy but just as comfortable and am still using them daily (up to 10 days on a single full charge!)
@rocknrollmachine2289 Unlike the Q20 or higher, you cannot configure the EQ curve in the Soundcore app. There might be a way to flash a cracked firmware but out of the box you just need to not hit the bass boost button
I have the soundcore Q10 which Don't have active noise cancellation but even then it's really great for sound isolation and the bass is heavy which can also be adjusted in the EQ.

The 40mm driver feature was a subtle nudge to its posh distant relative, the MDRs.
The V60 has been, is, and will always be the universal standard reference, in my opinion.
My only issue with Anker over ear headphones is that the band and frames of the headphone are easily broken. I’ve already had two kinds of anker over ear the 1st one is the Q10 and the other one is the Anker Space NC. And I have same experience on both of the. Though, their sounds are great.
I wish Anker would make a more sturdy one.

guys if you re goign to buy exact this model beware:
i ve been using this for almost 2 years. its a quite budget friendly but not that sturdy headphone. it cracked in several places. so you have to patch it up. overall; anc is ok, soundquality is above -average. if you re on a really tight budget.dont buy look for other alternatives.

I resisted over-the-ear headphones for a long time because they pressed the arms of my glasses into my head, but the noise canceling is good enough on the Q30s that their looser fit is more than good enough so I'm a convert!

Most flights are full because airlines have massively cut the number of flights. The industry can't afford to fly fewer full planes as it is much less more mostly empty planes.

They are right -- overall exposure is probably less with *one* flight versus and entire road trip + public bathroom spots + food stops (also more public exposure) + staying at hotels (again, more exposure) etc. People often don't think this Covid stuff fully through when giving recommendation or even when our politicians or "experts" make restrictions. Sometimes stuff becomes counter-productive passed a certain point.
@@username8644 That misses the point of only flying with NEED. For say, business. Which would generally put you up in a hotel anyway if business flights are even still happening. If you are going to fly to a place that would require a multi-day drive and other such exposures to the outside for a family get-together (holiday party, wedding, etc.) or anything outside of sating the need for food, water, and shelter...
Don't go.
Unless said going is going to your home. That's life during COVID-19.
@@rohanr5150 You do realize that airlines have covid procedures, right? I'm guessing you haven't flown in the pandemic. I've flown twice and they take their precautions very seriously. For example, one of the airlines I was on remodeled their planes to bring in new air every once in a while so particles aren't flying around incase someone is actually sick.
@@username8644 well said. Especially if you live in a big country like the USA. If I traveled by car or bus, it would take me like 3 days to get to where I needed to go vs a 2-3 hour flight.

Bought these last year upgrading from my q20's. Sound is really great, but the build quality is terrible. Both left and right side are cracked because of bending them too much. Such a shame because i really liked them. Only reason i wouldn't buy them again is because of the build quality.
I'm seeing a lot of reviews on Amazon with the same issue, that the plastic breaks above the earcups. That is why I'm a bit hesitant to buy them. What should I do?

I agree that tuned 40mm drivers are better, but it has 40mm drivers, which means the dynamic range is pretty good. Not great, but good... for $80. I'm wondering if ANC works in wired mode.
