Hardware KVM switches are superior, but there's software out there that can do the same. I used Barrier (because it was open source) for my PC and laptop and honestly it was good enough

i got the same kvm about a year ago, it's by far one of the greatest single upgrades i've ever made to my setup. occasionally i get some flickering issues though with high bitrate display outputs (1440p360hz), but i think that's a byproduct of cable lengths
I sometimes daydream that I work for LTT and I get chosen for the upgrade, but then I daydream that Linus points out all the stuff I took from the office, cancels the upgrade and leaves. Even in my daydreams I don’t win anything lol
