    Joey Remenyi's comment regarding what doctors ... should ... be saying to people when fisrt struck with Tinnitus is one of the most important aspects of the way the medical world approaches Tinnitus , they need to stop saying ... " theres nothing that can be done "..... and change it to ..." there maybe no medical cure however there are many methods practises and people who can help you to get better " and then point people in the right direction to people like Julian . I always take the oportunity to tell people who follow me and listen to my advice on how I recovered from own Tinnitus that it was Julian who was and still is my primary inspiration. Thank you again Julian and I hope to see you again soon . Ade.

      So true Dr. Lodes- I found Julian's webpage back in 2017 when my tinnitus first appeared- can't express how much I relied on Julian clips to ease my anxiety, calm me down and relieve me from all my negative thoughts. I'd like to thank you as well Julian.

    Julian was a great help to me. 3 years ago tinnitus affected me. I found his channel and worked with him. Yes it is always in the background but only when I listen for it, there it is. I stopped panicking and thinking of the worst case scenarios. You can shut it out and get on with your life.

    Dear Joey and Julian, my Tinnitus started 2 weeks ago and I can really related to a massive stress/sleep privacy and sleeping pills for years, and to an explosion that I was close to in a shooting set. Today after 2 weeks I woke up with a less stronger noise, it is still there, but less agressive. Your videos are helping me sooo much, I love you both!! SO much gratitude for your sharing. you'll pull through. i've had it for ages and it has started to go down significantly, so it will happen to you even if it takes a while! if you keep having dark thoughts see a doctor and talk about medication. some really help with both the dark thoughts and the tinnitus, make sure you watch Julians video on medicine and listen to that first though. good luck. You'll be fine. also happy birthday! have a good one.

    I got tinnitus after contracting labyrinthitis in November last year. Having tinnitus in lockdown has been by far the most stressful experience of my life. I’m only 23 so I’m sure I’ll get better in time but I just feel so isolated. Hopefully when normal life comes back I’ll be able to move on from it properly but rn everyday is different. Up down up down. Very taxing. 😫

    Thanks so much, wonderful and recognizable talk! How do you guys think about tinnitus caused by a severe ear infection? Is this also curable by neuroplasticity and deeply calming the nervous system?

    • @JulianCowanHill
      @JulianCowanHill  3 года назад +2

      Yes. I had an ear infection last summer from swimming in the sea and predictably the ringing in my ears came back. I knew it would go away again as soon as my ear cleared. I just stepped up the self-Yes. I had an ear infection last summer from swimming in the sea and predictably the ringing in my ears came back. I knew it would go away again as soon as my ear cleared. I just stepped up the self soothing and facial massages and took great care automatically.soothing and facial massages (see evening face massage on my app www.quietenapp.com) and took great care automatically. If my ringing comes back it's like a friendly healthy meter and encourages me to look after myself more. I have a very positive relationship with it if it reappears these days.

      @Julian Cowan Hill Thanks! My tinnitus started 7 years ago after a bad earinfection. We met once in London in 2016 (I am from Holland). Ever since I habituated to the sound and used it as a stress
      barometer and had not a lot of trouble, but ever since the pandemic, it spiked again. I hear this from many people with T. I made an appointment with a cranio sacral therapist and I also downloaded your app, looks amazing!! Thanks for your empathetic support, much appreciated. Greetings from Holland.

    I have tinnitus from a couple of weeks. First in one ear, now I think it started fluctuating in severity and in sides. I had periodic slight pain in the ears from the start of this year. It began after a sudden feeling of fullness in the ear and reduced hearing. In few days the fullness and the hearing started recovering. Now i think my hearing is well recovered but the ringing is not going away. I live in an apartment and since few years i hear the vibrations from the ACs of the neighbors and it is really making me crazy.

    I'm very much of the opinion that yes, doctors should be telling people that there are things that can be done other than meds. But in terms of 'getting better', yes that's all well and good but most 99% of people with T dont just want to get better they want the silence back prior to how it was before T.

    • @JulianCowanHill
      @JulianCowanHill  4 года назад +5

      I couldn’t agree more. I’ve led a pretty much tinnitus free life since 2002. It’s almost as long as the length of time I had it. It is possible to get back to silence and quiet. My app shows how I got there and how many other people have too.

    • @Zombie101
      @Zombie101 4 года назад +3

      @@JulianCowanHill thanks julian, I appreciate you and people who have also got there, and who share this with others. I just get stuck time to time in negative beliefs / thought patterns. I had heard mine flicker off before (not just not noticing it,, but actually noticing it turn off and feeling it switch off), however this was last October (and it's been a long time since then to hear a high pitch turbo sound 24 7) so frustration comes from not understanding or being able to get back to that silence permanently, when nothing seems to alter the intensity of the noise and days and months pass, hope and positivity gets washed away

      Zombie I hear you. Been there. Those quiet moments are like gold dust. From what Liam has said in his videos, the on and off and the sound moving from right to left ear are signs of healing. It makes sense that the mind is trying to reset.

      @@melodyebuskin5490 why wouldn't sleep just reset the brain though?

    • @melodyebuskin5490
      @melodyebuskin5490 4 года назад

      Zombie that’s a good question. For some ppl it does after a few days from going to a loud concert or listening to loud music. For others, it’s ongoing. Here’s a list of probables that I’ve gathered in my research:
      From what I’ve read and watched in videos is that tinnitus or ringing in the ears can be the result of noise, head, physical and/or emotional trauma, dental problems like bruxism (teeth grinding) or TMJ (jaw clenching) at night while sleeping, excessive ear wax, ear infection or ear related issues, stress and anxiety, certain medications, EMF’s from WIFi/5G or upper cervical subluxated Atlas and Axis (C1 and C2) neck related issues and even chemicals from hair dyes, personal care products and cosmetics, certain allergies to foods, bad diet or nutritional and/or vitamin and mineral deficiencies like vitamin C, zinc, iron, iodine, magnesium, D3 and K. Some people also believe it’s part of the ascension process into a higher frequency and that it’s the sound of angels, higher beings, the cosmos or God communicating with them through their hearing.
      The standard explanation is that the brain is basically in fight or flight mode and you’re hearing your own nervous system on red alert. It can rewire itself over time by using a process called neuroplasticity which is fundamentally accepting it and getting used to it (habituation) then ignoring the sound and calming it down through relaxation techniques like meditation, yoga, Qi gong and/or exercise and/or neck release exercises called trigger point therapy, upper cervical chiropractic adjustments and/or regular chiropractic, certain dental procedures which involve the use of mouth guards, cranial sacral therapy, EFT also known as ‘tapping’, hypnotherapy, visualization, and other body and mind relaxation therapies and/or masking with nature sounds or pink noise. What can also help is reducing/removing some or all coffee, teas, sodas, alcohol, salt, sugar, spices, condiments, dairy and carbs, nuts, seeds, the night shade family of veggies, Salicylates and oxylates from the diet and wet or dry intermittent 8-12, 24 or 48 hour fasting. Some people see results whether they’re vegan, vegetarian or meat eaters and even some do none of the above and still get better over time. Still, the majority of what I’ve read and seen in videos is that a healthy diet, stress reducing exercises and a positive mindset have the most impact on reducing and healing T.
      Check out Julian Cowan Hill, Liam Stops Tinnitus, James Karthaus, Peter Studenik and Joey Remenyi. They all healed from tinnitus using their own (and sometimes combined) techniques.
