I was using Revo, the reason I liked Revo as it would scan the drive and registry afterwards to remove all the junk left behind. This may do that, I'll give it ago. 👍
Revo is the number one to keep your system clean, programwise…

I guess you could say this old guy went extreme?... I deleted Windows and installed Linux Mint 21.3. Wow, who'd a thought, I'm still alive. After surviving the abandonment issues because I can't upgrade to W.11 Home on this laptop, I actually, in spite of MS, get a lot of work done every day. Not to sidebar your episode, I guess you could say I checked all the boxes for removal. Love your channel and sincerely I thank you for all your shares and expertise.
I upgraded to Windows 11 when it was released on my unsupported laptop straight from Windows 7.. The laptop, a Dell 3521 which came with windows 8.1 accepted Win11 with some registry tweaks and I loved it after debloating with some program similar to this in the video.. it was even activated by Microsoft, but lately I fell in love with KDE Plasma, which is my preferred OS currently.
@@AnthonyElsom we are very lucky to have Linux as an option. If it can meet your needs, plus the privacy and no pop ups and adds is a total win, when people make the switch.
this video should be called Remove Unwanted Software From Windows 10 and 11, Brian don't confuse people this program also works on Windows 10. Find this program very beneficial, thanks Brian
Hi Brian, I watch all the video's keep doing what you're doing. I just tried this software to uninstall Windows Edge and It would not uninstall it. I use Chrome and Firefox typically. Am I missing something ?
Very good, but I have a few questions. What do these apps mean and do? HEIF Image extensions, HEVC video extensions from the manufacturer, VP9 video extensions (VP9)? Web image extensions, web media extensions, MPEG-2 video extension and Windows web experience pack (looks like spyware to me). Thanks Brian, keep up the good work!
@@Jakiyyyyy Thanks, it looks like mostly computer gibberish. Like when you're given medications from your doctor with strange names difficult to understand.
They keep asking me to sign in, I stick to my local account. I managed to delete Microsoft Office, a holdover from my Windows 10 HP PC and they refunded my credit card account. Since I did all those Apps Privacy hacks in Brian's other Privacy video, I find that I'm getting a lot less junk or spam email.
I use that. It will uninstall Edge, but Microsoft doesn't stop Edging you anyway, so it will come back. I've found to use a program called Wise Uninstaller. I can't remember if I paid or not but it doesn't seem I did, and I think IF I did, it was not very much and a ONE TIME, charge. Not a reoccurrence. It did get Edge uninstalled. Then I go to C:\Program Files (x86) make sure the Microsoft folder is empty, and encrypt it so that only YOU have access to it. Do the same with folder that says Internet Explorer, and that should keep Edge out of your system, even when doing an update. Internet Explorer and Edge are conspiring with each other to aggressively reinstall one, when the other is removed. I don't know what their fetish is with Edging us, but I am tired of it.
All of this is a waste of time because once you do windows updates all these programs come back. I’d rather use the simple command in power shell then use a third-party that I don’t trust. You seem to use a lot of third-party software.
@@thepcformula you really think this is open source and that you’re going to see exactly what it’s doing? Sorry I don’t trust open source either. They tell you it’s open source but they hide stuff that’s been proven.
It seems that there is a whole non-MS ecosystem around trying to secure and wrest control of Windows OS's for the actual user. Pity they are not secure and efficient by design.
If your not into heavy gaming and dont mind getting use to software you don't usually use that's not a bad option but windows gives you a lot more program freedom while Mac and Linux you are limited when it comes to programs

Yes I enjoy Revo as well
Revo work like a champ. Been using it to remove Edge and remove uninstalled Steam games that won't go away as well.
My favorite too 🙂
It's the first app I install whenever I do a fresh Windows install.. I then use it to 'trace' the installations of all my other programs. 😎

You are not alone, many are doing that.

Nice one Brian mate I might just give this a try as I am really not sure of what is installed of which I am not in need of.
this was a nice one ( : Thanks for your good work
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant! I've downloaded the app, started from a USB-Stick and it did it's job ... After a reboot all was fine. Thank you! 🖖
Glad it helped
Thanks Brian. Great program. I will use it now.
Is O&O APP BUSTER as sophisticated as REVO Uninstaller which uninstalls apps with Registry entries and miscellaneous data files needed to run it?
Thank you, very helpful information.
Glad it was helpful!
Is their anything you shouldn't uninstall? Like anything that would effect windows operation.
I love that they are a Microsoft Partner! Can I suggest they adopt the company tagline "Making your computer world a little less crap".🙃

Thanks Brian. It would be interesting to compare with Revo in order to see if any registry remnants are removed. Have a great weekend my friend.👍👍👍
Great suggestion!
Will O&O stop Window Store app from reinstalling them because it knew they were there before?
Hi Brian, I watch all the video's keep doing what you're doing. I just tried this software to uninstall Windows Edge and It would not uninstall it. I use Chrome and Firefox typically. Am I missing something ?
Quick program. But what about leftovers?? I don't think the program could clean all in that time it took.
Nice keep up the good work regards Darko from Croatia 🙂
Thanks! I prefer short and to-the-point instructions, and I prefer not to have MS junkware on my laptops. 😊
You're welcome!
Brilliant Brian, great when software is totally free 😊
Does it also completely remove all files like Revo does? like stuff in the registry?

For video playback basically. These are built-in video codecs.

How about starting with eliminating your MS account, i.e. NEVER sign in with that monstrosity.

Is there a programe like this that shows unused and unnecessary apps , files .i'm to scared to check stuff incase my pc dies
Thanks just what I needed to free up memory on my win 10 computers
Nice
Disappointed that when I ran this program, it failed at the very first hurdle by failing to uninstall NVidia's Physix app.

Better to make changes within the group policy editor so changes stick regardless of the Windows Updates.
I will and always will trust opensource. I like the transparency and knowing what the script is actually doing.
@@thepcformula the only problem is you can’t do that as a home user. Most home users wouldn’t even know how to use group policy.

@nick92065 True. That's where we techs come in.
can you remove Crotona from this app?
What about Revo?
did it remove edge
That's handy to no. Thanks.
Nice app, thanks for that. ;)
It seems that there is a whole non-MS ecosystem around trying to secure and wrest control of Windows OS's for the actual user. Pity they are not secure and efficient by design.
But i upgraded windows 10 from 7 for all the features that are bloatware
great app thanks for showing
How good is it at preventing you from uninstalling something that will break Windows.
I like Revo uninstaller.
Me also .... It's the best thing I have used to date.
Too bad it doesn't have an option where you can repeat what it does easily like a script...
Good tool, just until windows reinstalls them all.
Bloatware is killing windows. I don't understand who thinks we need all these apps.
I agree
Aah, Ska...👍
After six months of Windows 11 I realized it is the unwanted software, so I removed it.
Unless you went to Linux, 10 isn't much different...(If you're one of those people.)
I have a better software to take care of the Windows problem, it's called Chrome OS!
revo uninstaller
game bar xbox useless
Feel free not to use it or disable its service?? Useless for one does not mean useless for others.
Best Way? BUY A MAC
What game can you play on Mac
If your not into heavy gaming and dont mind getting use to software you don't usually use that's not a bad option but windows gives you a lot more program freedom while Mac and Linux you are limited when it comes to programs
Who r using windows from childhood, how they talk about buy a mac?
Naw , windows is much better fam
