    What I would give to have at least ONE lake by me that had a nice sandy or sand rock bottom
    Every bass lake with 2hrs of my home I know of bottoms are covered in weed growth
    From May 1st till fall temp drops crank baits that go any deeper than 2' will come back to you hidden in a massive clump of lake veggies

      Yeah that’s how it is at most lakes around here!! All on the bottom!

      Wow... that would be lovely. Harder for predatory fish to catch a meal... Therefore, if you fish with good equipment startung with the line that fish cannot see... then with the properly weighted high end brand of soft plastic bait that maybe other folks won't buy because they don't want to spend the money for them... rigged weedless with a hook that's smaller, thinner than usual maybe... but, again a high end, REALLY sharp, well made from new alloys, or wire that's stiffened from heat treating it, and then throwing it in water that is VERY near deeper than your average water in a place that the fish should be at for a reason... then you just use all that to cast out letting that bait hit bottom and sit there for 5 up to 15 or 20 seconds... your bait looks just like what they are used to eating and curiosity will get them.
      It always does...
      You get what you pay for...
      If you cut corners anywhere, then you'll more times than not, you simply will NOT catch fish like someone that doesn't ever cut corners for any reason... ever.

      You could stay on edges of weeds with a dropshot. Probably less likely to get snagged

    Yamamoto Senko is definitely more expensive than the other brands, but it seems that it produces the unparalleled shimmy that bass love. Tight lines my friend.

    Back in the 90s, there was the Jersey Rig. It was a floating stick worm, like a senko, you hooked in the middle and twitched across the surface.

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  4 месяца назад

      It all depends on how slow you want to fish. You can fish the wacky rig as deep as you want, but you will have to wait for it to sink to the bottom. There also many versions of a weighted wacky hook that will make it sink a little bit faster.
