- Chrysler PT Cruiser automatic transmission removal procedure. The transmission was not pulling at all in 3rd and 4th gear and would need to be revved up to go into reverse and first gear. I used a transmission from a salvage yard with only 93K on it. I did replace the filter, gasket, axle seals, and flush the system before installing it. A little extra bonus near the end is my wife helping me and you can hear her snort and laugh.

She helps me out more than anyone really knows. She comes out to give me a hand whenever I need someone to hold stuff, move cars that will not crank, and will even help work on them by removing stuff for me.
09-17-23I have been looking for a transmission leak for a while that was caused by a bad street repair. I found it today. It was that new part that you transferred to the "new" transmission that you installed. I didn't see a photo of it in the Chilton manual. That part is high enough on the transmission to not be hit by anything. Tomorrow after work I will be aggravating somebody at AutoZone and other parts stores for a gasket and hope nothing else is damaged on the part

On torque down on axel next time put a screw driver between the rotor it help
I did not even think about that but I normally put them on the ground with the tire on and it normally holds it. Was a good reason to make the wife work a little lol.
Im going to be doing this for a family friend and its gonna suck since i have to get all the tools necessary to do this plus the tranny to swap😢 its gonna be a bit be4 i can. Luckily, the current one is surviving, but idk how long...

I cant take the driver side axel out idk why its a pain
Is it stuck in the transmission or the wheel bearing portion of the axle?
