Good overview. I've had a Multiac ACS SA for years and absolutely love it. The active electronics sound incredible even when plugged directly into a PA, no feedback, and the synth access is useful as well. This is one of my favorite guitars out of 30 years of playing guitar, and it is absolutely my favorite for playing acoustic/nylon string
Godin Guitars: any chance you could update this rather dated description with a full video comparing current models? (2021) I find your models confusing and not well explained. Thanks.
Godin multiac I think are Best nylon guitars!! I have the Godin Acs and it is amazing!! sound as a dream, the neck it’s so comfortable, the pick up RMC is one of the best pick ups and the construction of the guitar is amazing I won’t never sell it, it’s so versatile!!

Pretty much almost in my basket for purchase. I just need to know if the ACS has the ability to pick up sounds from percussive guitar playing. So will the the internal elements pickup drumming on the body?
Hi ! Me again : since I'm awake, I'm watching the videos of , and I was searching a solution cause I got a little problem with my Multiac Duet. The Jack and XLR outputs didn't worked without a little buzz, so I brought it to the music-shop to be repair. Then, the guy that had repaired it had told me that I had to plug my godin with a Stereo cable. And they gave me for free a cable, with a Stereo Jack for the guitar, and a XLR output for the combo (I use an amplified consol, so for the consol). But even if they had repaired it, even with the cable they gave me, there's still that little buzz. buzz that I less have with a XLR/XLR cable. Don't know what to think ; if you could answer to me, please ? Thanks by advance. BYE !
Great guitar I own one how ever you forgot to mention you have to unplug the guitar every single time u use it or u will have a flat battery &9 volte battery are not cheep also no good for the conection on the guitar
Go to Google and type in: “adjusting the action on godin multiac guitars” I recommend you take your instrument to a technician familiar with electric guitars and have them do it for you. They will have the proper tools and experience. There are trade offs you will have to accept with lowering the action. Something to think about. Good luck.
Shim the neck! Easy to do. Get a new set of strings. Cut a piece of the cardboard packaging the width of the neck and about 1/4 wide. Remove old string... when is the last time you change your strings? Loosen all, strings and remove A, D, G and B. Keep both E’s on but loose. Remove Remove the 4 screws from the neck. Separate the neck from the body. Body facing down, put the shim inside the cavity close to the back of the neck pocket. Reinsert the guitar neck. Put screws back in. Don’t over tight. Tune old E strings to pitch. Check for playability. You like it! Put the other set of strings. If not, loosen the strings, remove the neck and add a layer on packaging or a piece of tape at the same place you put the first shim. Put the neck back in place, tune the E strings. Repeat if still unhappy or install all the strings. I hope this helps. I own many Godin guitars. They are excellent.
I had both guitar the grand concert and the moltiac . The phantom power was not good for me on stage with a full band all the other instruments came in through the guitar 3 mic's it was a disaster. The other moltiac with the pieazo pickup was better .but I rather play the Chat Atkins CEC that guitar is beautiful. In every way . I tried many nylon guitar the best one is the Gibson chat Atkins .I even have the Epiphone chat Atkins . Much then the godin .sorry godin . I bought two of your nylon guitars and one of your electric guitar non of them was as good as the American brand guitars ..I have some friends who love the godin brand but it's not for me ..pluses I had issues with the g and b strings pieazo pickup it was buzzing on every note the guitar was 100 % set up but the pick up was buzzing. On both strings some time I needed to push in on the pick up to make the buzz go away
@@Falcos01 yes the buz was coming out of the brass piezo pick up from the bridge it’s was lose . I rather play the Chet Atkings by Gibson. Much better guitar bender sound and playability.
@@toneranger i agrée with the general thrust of eco friendly materials ( I am a vegetarian and self sustaining in permaculture) but there are sustainable wooden alternatives to rosewood and ebony. Dear Godin: I came here to look for info on a nylon-stringed synth-access guitar. Your video has commercials in it for non-Godin products. I suggest removing them.
SO HERE IS THE TRUTH. These guitars are very good in some respects. And infuriating in others. +ve. Great neck and exceptionally comfortable. Sweet tone acoustically for the classical model. Attractive design and colour. -ve. Amplified they are a disappointment although a half decent sound can be obtained. The nylon string ‘squeaks’ are amplified horribly and will annoy you and your band mates. Finally. The tiny weeny sliders placed in a position that is very hard to see or identify is a pain. So these guitars are flawed and remember that they won’t cut through a stage mix like a steel string. Buyers beware! (forgot the idiotic invisible to player low battery warning light that has now completely stopped working on mine. Can’t see it anyway unless looking in a mirror).
The Multiac that I received was terrible. Needed neck shims, according to the folks at Godin. Totally unacceptable for an instrument in this price range. I returned it. Played a nicer one in a local music store, and it was nearly as bad. The Cordoba Stage plays better, but is lacking in tone. Stick to an acoustic classical with a Mic in front. That sound cannot be replicated nor even hinted at with any pickup system known to man.

You really skimped on the benefits and details for the grand concert
0:18 Duet vs SA models
0:41 ACS and ACS Slim (1 7/8 or 1 3/4" nut) - 13 pin
1:10 Multiac Nylon 1 7/8 nut, ok unplugged
1:50 Multiac Grand Concert 2" nut, ok unplugged
The spectrum says 11/16; even slimmer !

Among Godin classic models, what is the difference between ACS and ACS Slim?
I need an 8 string for A-A tuning please offer the option in grand concert!
I think you might be in for a long wait!
How do Godin Multiac nylon units stack up against standard classical nylon in band settings playing rhythm,?
How many types of Godin classical guitar are there from upper model to lower level? I want a slim model with small hands.
Is there no Godin guitar store in Seoul, Korea?
Among Godin classical guitars, which model has a slim neck?
acs slim vs. spectrum. I can get the same sounds by turning off the lipstick pu completely ?
I am the 100th and Godin makes a very fine guitar, that's all, thank you.

If it's an electrical buzz, try using a D.I and activate the ground lift button.
I wish they made a deluxe with SA
What is the difference between slim and slim 2?
Alpo Pöytäkangas are the same guitar just the neck of the slim is more narrow

Tell Al Di Meola you're not supposed to use a pick on Nylon Strings.
That is a myth.
Just change your strings often if you only use a pick.
You can use a pick even on the grand concert but you will scratch the top.
I have one and love it except for its rich lite finger board which seems cheap and tacky to me.
